@@jesseandrews2303 if you mean WWE's money he could have extended to 2022 if he wanted to he didn't. If you mean AEW's money he could have just left WWE the moment his contract ended.
@@novametallica if he extended a long term contract he's cutting out his options. A contract extension is a new figure and the amount will be significant because negotiations demand it and demands require it. Simply put, Cole would walk if WWE didn't pay his extension price. WWE paid it because TO 36 needs him. Cole knows that. Sure he will put Kyle over. But not out of the goodness of his heart. Because he saw an opportunity to make big money. That it's Kyle only sweetened the pot with a good feel leave for when Kyle O'Riley joins Cole in AEW and do business there also because they know the internet remembers Cole putting him over. Adam Cole is very intelligent. I respect him more for that reason.
Funnily enough Tommy Dreamer described NXT as being like college football on busted open. You might be amazing there but jumping up is a whole different story, especially if you don't fit where you jump to.
The man accomplished everything possible in NXT. Knowing that he’s not a “main roster fit” for Vince, going to AEW seems like a smart choice. New environment, new opponents.
@@MiracleWhipEaterz Either you are a new watcher or don't have any clue about his career trajectory... Vince was and still is not a fan of Daniel Bryan... It was one of the rare moments when fans drive the booking
Imagine Adam Cole, Windham Rotunda, CM Punk, and Bryan Danielson all joining AEW within the next two months. That will legitimately switch me over to AEW exclusively.
@@C_100K umm does someone want to break the news that Punk left on his own accord to him? and I'm sure you will be saying the same thing come the 20th...
I wouldn't mind Adam Cole in AEW as it would be nice to see him in the promotion that treat's it's talent better than WWE and talent don't have to worry about Vince waking up and suddenly deciding he will release a bunch of people for his own deluded reasons
@@pirateradio6429 you're the only fan on the Internet I've seen who is thinking about AEW roots. I'm so tired of AEW fans marking out for wrestlers signing with AEW and content with its unestablished talent to be used as props for them. And then think I'm hating on AEW as a "WWE mark" AEW is turning into TNA ac decade ago.
If I was adam cole I’d be out too. He gave wwe a try, and they booked him super well on next, but my god i have no trust that he would be booked even decently on raw or smackdown
He should join AEW he has accomplished everything on that brand and I personally don't want him to go on main roster and get buried like everyone else Adam Cole is ALL ELITE🤘
@@JAG214 AEW has now a very good working relationship with NJPW so he can definitely work matches on both shows As evident with Moxley’s recent IWGP US-Title match
@@JAG214 But Brit and his friends are all there. It’s perfect for him, plus The Elite need a new and legit member to continue before Omega loses the title.
Exactly the only way it would be a 2 way street is if Vince McMahon wasn't in power and Triple H was. But that's not happening anytime soon. I would love for both companies to be thriving but the Wrestling week for me starts on Wednesday with AEW
@@aditya_707 Sorry, I said it wrong. The OP was saying that it's "too logical" meaning that it might not happen because it's so obvious. I agree that he's done everything he can in NXT and can't do much more.
Remember that storyline *10 years ago* when Vince was about to fire one of his main event superstars (John Cena) and the WWE Board of Directors clearly seeing that Vince had lost his damn mind, stepped in and fired him first? Um...can we get that to become a real thing?
Adam Cole is so versatile he could work in either company, I'd preferably love to see him in AEW with the tie-ins to PWG and NJPW oh and let's not forget Britt Baker as well, but at the end of the day, he should do what's best for Adam Cole Bay Bay!
I am sure that Adam Cole didn’t appreciate the way that Vince is treating the NXT Championship having Karrion Kross lose on Raw definitely diminishes the value of the title that Adam Cole made feel just as important as the WWE World title
The “ADAM COLE BAY BAY” On his first night in AEW is gonna be one of the loudest pops of 2021 other then CM Punk’s TV scratch sound even if they use different music keeping that noise at the beginning would send everyone into a frenzy
@@dionysis84 you might be right honestly, but I mean it could also just be so natural for him he might pick up right where he left off and run with it We’ll have to wait and see but I’m glad you replied to my comment
Everyone says he leaves because of britt I think he leaves for the bullet club vs the elite storyline he has history with everyone I'll even say that he pops up as a heel only to turn on the elite
I remember before the feud between cody and kenny, they were setting up the same kind of feud between kenny and adam, they started this really long term story with kenny and adam not getting along during a tag match with adam being super cocky and stealing the tags
@@rollins1212 I don't think they had all planned out about Omega as champ vs Hangman back then. I do think they were aware that they were creating a history between two very talented guys and they can later use that story to build on it. They could have made a reunion or they could make that fuel for feud. I feel like AEW is kinda like that, that they know that they are not in a hurry, they know they build characters with relations we understand and then they have material for later. I feel like AEW approach is that past is relevant.
They kind of explained that with him getting enraged, I think he will destroy Hardy in rematch, like he just did to Keith Lee. Unless he jobbed again to someone last night, I haven't watched last nights Raw.
The fact that the Undisputed Era never even made it to the main roster is a real damn...blessing. Good job protecting them from your Daddy in Law ya Triple Goof. You actually did good. 👍
Nah Hangman gotta be the one to take off the belt from Omega, but yeah if he goes to AEW he deserves at least one long run with the AEW world championship.
Although I’m not a huge fan of Adam Cole, I am a huge fan of Simon Miller. I love your videos! You just make me smile every time I watch them. Keep up the good work!
The reason, as a fan, I am also a little skeptical about AEW hiring "too" many people is that it makes it harder to give everyone the screen time they deserve. But so far AEW is balancing it quite good (except for the womens division) and with rampage coming I'm hopefull they manage. And of course I'd love to see Adam Cole in AEW.
There is also the Britt Baker factor to think about. In his position if I was offered comparable pay between two companies but one had my significant other in it id tend to lean towards that one
AEW is killing it with these WWE firings and Free Agents. It's happening at the right time for them. To imagine Bray,Strowman and Bo Dallas as a new Wyatt family. Lights going out and Cole is in an AEW ring across the Elite with the Elite screaming your dead you died. Would be crazy. Plus CM Punk and Bryan Danielson still to appear is just insane to think about seeing every week on tv.
The only issue with too many on the roster is so many aren't gonna get any time. I feel a lot are just gonna get lost in the mix unless they're gonna make even more factions
Just let this sink in in the future we might have a roster outside of wwe with CM Punk, Bryan, Wyatt, Cole , Black, Page , Omega , MIRO , and many more
Bray Wyatt will not be in AEW. Tony Khan dislikes the yowie wowie kinda thing. He said his biggest regret so far was Broken Matt teleporting thru the stands
Cole can basically work where he wants to he'd fit well in AEW though I'd say they are inundated with debut plans already right now and they won't want to oversaturate their broadcast with weekly debuts (or maybe they do, idk I'm not a business man) he'd fit great in NJPW or even Impact too.
The fact that AEW and so many other Organizations internationally share talent and that "Forbidden" Door mentality makes it appealing to the Talent. More opportunity to perform and sell merch to a multitude of fans around the world, as a performer has to be an incentive as well.
If he joined AEW I feel the best idea for him would be to seemingly be friendly with the Elite, only to turn on them and join up with the Bullet Club when/if they invade AEW.
Nah. If (when) Cole turns up in AEW, he'll be received as a massive babyface. They should take advantage of that. Have him show up and help Hangman against the Elite because he wants revenge against the Elite for kicking his head off and poisoning him. Then when the time is right, you have Cole turn on Page, because Hangman was also a member of the Elite when Cole was ousted (although I don't actually remember if Page was actively part of the plot against Cole) , OR you can keep it simple and have it just be because Adam Cole is a villainous scumbum who is only ever really looking out for himself.
This may not be everyone's cup of tea but I think Adam Cole could complete AEWs slowly forming Horsemen alongside Tully, a defecting Arn, and a debuting Ric Flair. Sean Spears need some work in that angle but he deserves the chance. FTR is solid as a rock. What they need is a Ric Flair and there isn't anyone out there that could take that role and run with it the way that Adam Cole could. If we are ever going to have a Horsemen faction in the modern era... I'd really like to see Adam Cole leading it.
Holy shit! I want Adam Cole to come man.....and this not me being a mark I just wanna see Cole wrestle free and more guys . I loved him in NXT If Gargano was the heart of NXT than Cole was the Charisma.
Remember the original goal was to not have the same wrestlers wrestle every week. So, having a good chunk of performers is not bad. You get the Old NXT effect. Where certain acts only go on every couple of weeks. As long as the story lines don't get stagnant spacing performers out works. It allows them to rest and keeps TV fresh.
I love Ric Flair, but what can he possibly do? Maybe manage Andrade? He's a great talker, but AEW already has enough announcers, and guest announcers. It would have to be a manager thing.
I can not imagine what's going on through Adam Cole's mind right now. Should he stay with his mentors Triple H & Shawn Michaels at NXT? Or should he head on over to AEW where he will definitely get a big push? In many ways, he can't do any more than he has already done at NXT and if he isn't going to get a call up to Raw or Smackdown, it makes no sense for him to continue at NXT. If he does sign with AEW which is 99% likely to happen, he should and probably will put over Kyle O'Riley.
cause aew values it's wrestlers, cause aew lets it's wrestler have a big say in there characters creative direction, cause aew hasnt released people to boost it's numbers for the board, take your pick
As much as I like Simon, there are two big issues with this video. 1) There is no accounting for Adam Cole's connection to WWE through UpUpDownDown. Tyler Breeze can appear as Matt, but he hasn't signed anywhere else. 2) Not everyone can get a main event push on AEW. There are limited spots. Punk and Bryan will probably get good stories, but not for a title. There are pros and cons to their approach. I'm sure Cole wouldn't mind a lower spot, but it needs to be clear that he would probably not be in the World Championship picture. He could be a TNT champion in 2-3 years though.
I just want good booking tbh. Cole is an amazing talent. And amazing talent being treated well in WWE is few and far between. If he stays in WWE, that’ll be cool. If he goes to AEW, that’ll be cool. I just want good story telling to compliment his in ring skill
If Adam Cole goes to AEW, it's a ready-made storyline. Kenny loses the title to Hangman, then Cole shows up to create tension in the Elite, with the Bucks torn between Cole and Kenny. Then you have Kenny, the Good Bros, and Callus facing off against Adam Cole and the Young Bucks.
