Looooool. “This thing can’t replace a laptop”. They really sold us on that iPad but the rest of the apps/software were like nope. I was a die hard PC girl and the moment I tried out my first used 2014 MBP in 2018/2019, I have never looked back. People don’t get the power of the ecosystem. Copy/pasting from my phone -> iPad -> Mac is top tier. I switched from my 2020 MBP to an M1 Mac Mini at the lowest specs and my goodnesssss! Exporting videos has been a breeze. Even Screenflow (the slowest exporting app on my MBP 2020) takes 15 mins for a near 1GB video. My goal in 2023? Upgrade to a higher powered Mac Mini. Love your story telling skills btw. I felt exactly the same as you. Lifechanging when I switched

My first smartphones were android and my first computer was a PC. One day I got annoyed with my Samsung galaxy note 8 and tried the iPhone X when it came out. I tried switching back at one point but was disappointed at how inconsistent apps were on android. I even tried the S23 Ultra last year and I still found myself missing how seamless the iPhone is.

Great video Luda. Right before my first semester at university, I switched to Apple and ditched my Android (which was a mistake), but I agree that the ease of the ecosystem is a huge benefit , and I'm willing to exchange aesthetics for functionality. Happy Holidays!

I used to own a Google Pixel 2 and I was always the group photographer because at the time it had the best camera hands down. While missing out on features such as facetime and iMessage I changed to an iPhone 7 plus and bought an apple watch. I loved the apple watch as it felt just like my regular watch with added functionality allowing me to disconnect from my phone at little more. Then eventually I needed to upgrade the phone so I got the 13 Pro as I still wanted the best camera while keeping iMessage. Then recently for school I got an iPad Air for digital notes. (Also dumb rule, our school doesn't let us use phones when studying but lets us use our own iPads and Laptops). I own a HP Spectre as I simply prefer windows applications and the way windows works. Years ago I would've been ashamed of myself for getting these Apple Devices but the truth is for productivity, everything just works so seamlessly with integration for iMessage and AirDrop. And I used to think Apple was heavily overpriced but everything is built super high quality with the best displays and components. I did own airpods but moved to some bang and olufsen headphones for personal preference. And while my family use macbooks, and the family computer is a mac, I still use windows as I don't need the optimisation as I dont video or photo edit, mainly using for applications like outlook and microsoft word.

Still a dedicated Andriod+Windows user, but nice vid man, and nice socks

To be honest i totally understand the appeal of apple and its almost magical qualities with its integration. I went probably your polar opposite route, Windows PC for work, Android Phone, and for on the go light work iPad 12.9. They all sync with my Microsoft 365 account and use the ecosystem on all 3 devices so i feel a similar integration with its own flair. The best ecosystem at the end is the one that fits your needs.
