Great advice!! For those who are planning to come here, as you said quantity over quality... work smart not necessarily hard. This system can trap you in the rat race. My salvation was going back to school, not where i want but am making way way more than i did. for some Kenyans here is opening there businesses... but it takes time...
As fellow Kenyan in us, I think people work a lot because they want to build a house in Kenya, help some relatives yet at the same time there is actual living here..ie bills, clothing, loans like car notes and credit cards..
Great info thanks for sharing. Are you based in Colorado? I will be coming there soon to start the life as a new immigrant you will be of great support for my transition
Sure if you don’t make a right choice in the US especially in terms of career you suffer more than you did back home… try elevate such that in 5 yrs you are above average pays, not to mention most people live paycheck to paycheck ten yrs later in America having not invested anything in that time…. Someone told me when you get to US don’t just go to school to get a degree go take a course that will pay you because its a sacrifice a course that will elevate your life in the US
