It needs to be said & thanks for having the courage to say it. I've had a tough time trying to get mostly single moms in their 40s and up to plan for retirement. They'll blow money on all kinds of stuff, but the discipline to consistently put money in the 401, it's like a battle. Some have 401s with employer matching up to a certain amount and they'll invest, but then take it out to get an suv (huge penalty!!). I can't get them to even go online & check est monthly social security benefits because they want to enjoy the denial. It's insane.

Yep the Black poverty rate for Married households is 7 percent almost the same as Whites of 5 percent. The Single Black Female households it's 38 percent. All great reasons, however the main factor that seems to be very prevalent in black communities is the breakdown of the traditional family structure, all other communities that financially prosper still embrace and encourage strong conservative family units, meaning having two capable parents raising the next generation. The single mother epidemic is not helping to build a solid foundation of values and ethics that any community needs in on order to prosper. Fixing the breakdown of the family unit seems like the first step, how can individuals from broken homes think of starting businesses if they lack basic needs that a stabled family and community would provide? Great video, keep up the positive work.

I'm gonna make it real easy, #1 is the single parent home cause 2 incomes are greater than 1. 2 parents have a better chance at educating their kids than 1 cause some times you're just tired after work. Home ownership is the easiest way to build wealth and again 2 people paying a mortgage is better than 1.

i'm not black but i'll volunteer the fact that sometimes it's useful to look up to others for inspiration and ideas. the jews for instance have a culture that prioritises learning and studying, in addition to developing business acumen and always (and only) helping each other. the chinese are of a similar mindset. i know that it might seem boring to spend a saturday afternoon copped up behind a desk solving an endless amount of math problems or boning up on naval engineer books or coming up with a new sorting algorithm. but the point is that the people doing this actually find it fun. they're deriving as much if not more joy from this routine as someone who gets his kicks from his drug addiction, porn or tv.

I think the main problem would be a big rate of fatherless black households, atleast current day. Historically, we have been trapped into a cycle by racist policies, we got our reparations taken away, so we had to start from the ground up, and our most prosperous communities were destroyed by whites. don’t underestimate the fact that for 2 centuries, black people in this country have faced systemic oppression. This isn’t stemming from a victim mentality, it’s just the harsh reality, institutional racism still persists to this day.

Just like you mentioned, we are giving too much of our time and money to White businesses. It's almost as if we work for them for free. We go to work for them, and they pay us, but what do we do with that money? Give it right back to them by buying up all of their products and services. Many of us invest in the stock market, but that only makes the wealth gap wider, because the vast majority of publicly-traded companies are owned by Whites. We own less than 1% of all publicly-traded companies. If this perpetuates, we will always be 100 steps behind them, and we will never grow economically.

Investing in the stock market doesnt make whites richer, it makes whomever invests richer. Maybe the company is run by a white CEO, but the shareholders, IE people who buy stocks, are the part owners of the company. If all companies were run by white CEOs but owned by black investors, black wealth would increase. Please overcome this idea and invest. Buy assets. IMO the black community buys liabilities thinking they are assets. Your car is not an asset, its a financial liability. The top 1%,, white or black, own assets and that's why they continue to get richer. Warren Buffet invested in BYD, a chinese company. He didnt care about color, only that they made him, a white male, richer. Black people are much much less likely to invest money. This increases the wealth gap.
@losrob27
@losrob27 3 года назад
@@Nighthawk30722 I understand what you're saying, but almost all of these companies that are currently on the stock market are owned and controlled by Whites. Yes, shareholders own a percentage of the company, but it's always a miniscule fraction of ownership. They still retain majority ownership. Name one Black majority-owned Fortune 500 company.

I disagree with the points in this video. Although they are very good points, the #1 reason that black people are so poor is because we don't have enough black nuclear families. Without family, each generation is forced to start over from scratch. Just my opinion.

In 2016, for example, the poverty rate for blacks was 22 percent, for whites was 11 percent, and for black married couples was 7.5 percent.4 Do racists care whether someone black is married or unmarried? If not, then why do married blacks escape poverty so much more often than other blacks, if racism is the main reason for black poverty Thomas Sowell My favorite quote from his book

1. Stop talking about racism, and supporting criminals, there is a reason why police in US is so agressive, and so many black pepole in jail. 2. Educate 3. Cut from any social help (socalism is not working, and history showed that) (stop giving them money, for being lazy) 4. Educate about proper family and relationship. 5. Introduce to religion (religion is the best framework to create good pepole) 6. The last one and the most important for everyone - nationalize Federal reserve bank (or get rid of it.) I am not from US, I am Polish. I have been a few times in US, and the only way to see your problem is by hearing it from somone.

1. Racism is one of the leading social constructs in the entire world, not talking about it will not make it go away. Now it’s easy to say that it would as someone from Poland but if you were a black person you would see that. 2. Education is linked to how rich of an area you live in, black people GENERALLY live in poorer areas 3. Poor people need welfare to be able to survive as they are literally struggling 4. In a society that demonizes black people and sees them as undesirable why would black people stay together if they are told that each other isn’t desirable 5. Black people by far the most religious group in the world so introducing religion would literally not fix anything

You’re video is misguided if you study the facts like I do. And it’s simple to see if you visit the Federal Reserve’s website as much as I do. So here’s the facts. As of the first quarter of 2021, white families had a total of 120.87 trillion dollars in total assets, while black families only had 6.68 trillion in assets. Out of that 120.87 trillion in white owned assets, private businesses only made up 11.52 trillion. That means small businesses only make up about 9.5% of the total assets of white families. You want to guess what makes up the majority of their wealth? You got it, stocks and real estate. White families had a total of 33.48 trillion in stocks and mutual fund shares, and 25.93 trillion in real estate assets. That means stocks/mutual fund shares make up about 28% of white wealth, and real estate makes up about 21% of their total wealth. The secret to success in this country has always been there, out in the open. It’s just not discussed enough in our community. It’s all about investing in the stock market and the real estate market. As long as the Federal Reserve continues to keep interest rates low, the stock market and the real estate market will continue to thrive. Even when they eventually start to increase rates, there will be a small correction, and then the markets will be off to the races again. I happen to be a black homeowner, who is also invested in the stock market, and I’ve seen my net worth go up quite noticeably in the last year. So I also speak from experience.

Lets look at 2018 poverty rates without double speak like black/african American poverty 20.8 % compared to white people at 10.1% in 2018. Lets do some math on google. White people: 234,370,202.... At 10.1 percent is 23,671,390 in poverty. African american/ Black people: 37,144,530.of the population in 2018. Hey wait that's not much higher than whites in poverty.... Anyway... 20.8% for colored people like me. 7,726,062. Gotta remember its a minority and by alot. And I see just as as many white homeless people as black ones and members of both races largely ignore those people even if its there own race or ethnicity. But white people need to cater to us and care why when they mostly just do what everyone else does and only really worries about family and friends... Hmmm thats messed up.

I have a more cultural approach to the situation because you don't need your own business to be a success or financially empowered. Non-Black people get married, study STEM (Especially Asian Men and Women), live off one income, invest in stocks and real estate, live below their means. The culture is all f up you got a lot of bw saying they don't need a man and a lot of bm simply giving up. My is a Accountant for state government and my father is a local high rank deputy. They just started a business in their 60's but prior to that they own stocks and real estate totally more than 5 mil.

You have to have “enough” money to save in first place, you can’t save the money that has to go into the tank to get you to work. Also as a very very intelligent borderline genius African American I’ve seen first hand how unfair wages can affect one’s potential or ability to succeed. Image being on the job for 13 years, very good at your job, in fact you are constantly coming up with brilliant new innovations in your field but sadly they aren’t taken seriously when your black. I’ve seen new “white” guys get hired and don’t know their asshole from a hole in the ground and make the same as I,been that way since like, idk….Forever now. Here’s a fun fact. In my state of Nebraska, 64.2% of whites graduate HS and then 29.8% go on to College. And 66% of Blacks graduate but sadly only 17.6% go to college. And that’s because of systemic racism. I feel everyday like I’m meant for something much bigger than building retaining walls and patios, I’m a scientist, I like to invent, create, and innovate. I have a gifted mind by sadly no opportunity to use it. Imagine having wings but being tethered to a tree, no matter what way you try and fly there’s a limit to the distance you can achieve.

@@jillpatton3432 It doesn’t matter how much motivation, talent or intellectual ability you have if your black. Do you know how many jobs I’ve had where I was in a foreman position but found out there were white guys that didn’t know their asshole from a hole in the ground but yet they was making more or equal to my wages. I’ll give you another example, When I show up to complete a assigned project, From the very beginning I’ll have to prove myself and everything I do will be placed under scrutiny, and if I were to make a mistake, it would be expected. Now if I was white, I would automatically get the benefit of the doubt, could be dumb as shit but still if I was white and I came over with my equipment, you would assume I knew what I was doing. 9 times out of 10. And don’t you know how America works, unless you get super lucky and beat the odds, social mobility is not very achievable. Only way to make money is if you already have it, a homeless mans with a dream of opening a factory and selling cars that run vapor or opening any business for that matter is but a pipe dream. Even if I created the cure for cancer, it cost money to market shit, not to mention patents. Where does that money come from? Greedy investors? Bank? Nope because a bank isn’t a place you go to borrow money if you need it, it’s a place to get money that you already have basically. Can get a loan without collateral can you? And if all of your relatives are poor like you then ur F*cked
