Such an abandoned town, UK isn't in good shape. In my hometown on Albania the streets would be thriving with people and vendors despite being "poorer"

Well done. You'll probably find most of the locals in the Wetherspoons there, the Star! I've visited once, in 2004, via the Portsmouth-Gosport passenger ferry, to visit said Wetherspoons and a local beer festival. It's historic connection is with Portsmouth, as a major Naval town. Both places seem to have suffered dramatic declines, mainly down to the defence cuts. Post-millennium and post-covid have probably intensified the deprivation. I bet until 30 years ago, every pub in Gosport and Portsmouth would've been packed when the sailors were on leave. I should think now they've lost 50% of those pubs. You can see the regeneration in Portsmouth, mainly down to the large student population, with modern residential blocks all around. Sadly, it looks like Gosport has been left behind. That's a rare thing @ 12:52 Been forgotten maybe? 👍💯🇬🇧😎
