This practice harms job seekers, wasting their time and effort, and distorts employment data, making the labor market appear healthier than it actually is.
This growing trend highlights the disconnect between job data and the real struggles of workers. Addressing ghost jobs requires more transparency from companies and job platforms to prevent further erosion of trust in the job search process.
