That is why many are planning to not vote for Ena. The industry is way too dark and traumatising for a 12 year old. I know she has her dreams and she can complete them when she's at the very least above 18, but 12? No way. Thats too young.

@@bitsnbites7753 some parents allow kids to achieve their goals without setting a whole plan. She can become an idol if she wishes to be, but she should be at least above 18 to participate in a survival show which can be so traumatising and it gives so many idols depression and anxiety and so many have cried remembering what they went through. I’m also concerned about the PARENTS of these minors. WHY do they allow this to happen to their child? If my kid were debuting at that age, I would back out. The parents still have the final decision if they want their child to enter the entertainment industry at a SUPER YOUNG age.

@@kiingzvision No one is saying that their dreams should stop, but dreams can wait. Some children dream of becoming a pilot, but your not gonna let them already fly a plane just because they dream about it. Its not even allowed. Focusing and finishing school first before pursuing their dreams, and not even be possibly debuting at 12 is better. Give them also the time to think about other possibilities for a career. I wish for her and all to go after their dream but dreams do not have to happen right away. And if this all about youth, 🤦🏽‍♀️ 18 is young as hell too, so Idk why they NEED middle-schoolers? It's super weird. And especially in kpop, many idols regretted debuting so young. Some claimed that they didn't have a real childhood/teen years because of the busy schedules and pressure they endured as a young idol... thats kind of alarming. I think I know the answer to why there are so many groups with minors now. The United Nations and WHO have been trying to decriminalise pedophillia in these few years (You can find articles on this matter). These organizations and governments have ALWAYS used mainstream media to promote their agenda, and I hate to say this, but large entertainment agencies have strong links with the authorities. Why do we see minor idols? Well, it's propaganda. They are trying to make the mass get used to seeing minors doing sexy concepts and wearing relvealing clothing. And this is not only a problem in the K-pop industry. Actor Corey Feldman has said before that "I can tell you that the No.1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia... I was surrounded by them [pedophiles]". It's so sick.

People have no self-control and they will cry "boycott!" while listening to those groups songs for the thousandth time. What needs to happen will never happen as far as fans go. There needs to be a new group of companies that grow the RIGHT way and hopefully someday takes over the attention from these smooth brained money grubbers, but the odds of that are also slim to none.

It’s honestly disgusting because lots of times companies will sexualize the minors image giving them a sexy concept and sexy or very short clothes. It’s so wrong!!! This is slowly but surely becoming a s*x industry.. one of the many reasons why I don’t watch or listen to kpop anymore.. 99% of the time now it’s based on looks and age only. Lots of kpop companies don’t care much about talent no more because they know they can use money to train the heck out of these kids for dancing, acting, & off course singing w/ heavy auto tune. So unless fans actually show they do not agree with their decisions of including minors things will not change. I am not supporting New Jeans and I am not planning on supporting Baby Monster, but I can say that I am one of the few that has been able to stand by this decision. I don't hate on them and find it hard to not support some of their songs because they are everywhere (and let's face it the songs are catchy) but when reports like this show up it makes me upset that in the end companies are right to continue this trend because people are eating it up and love it no matter how bad these kids might suffer later on.

The truth is as long as the groups with minors are bringing in the money not much is going to change.

1. Training from a young age itself is stressful. But they should be teenagers if they are even going to become trainees and the timings and workload shouldn't be stressful enough for their age. But Considering the kind of competition these kids are kept against they would naturally want to work hard 2. The minimum age for an idol to debut provided that they will be paid immediately and their work timings are limited should be 16. I mean 18 should be the correct age, but i feel 16 should be acceptable since a lot of factors are taken into consideration while selecting the debut team and selecting trainees above 18 might not create the group the company wants to build. So 16 should be the worst case minimum in such situations. And again its in the hand of the trainee if they really want to debut

This is the reason expecting all the menbers to be above 18 itself isn't idealistic . Maybe it worked out for certain groups, but for certain groups we can't imagine the group without those members and we don't know the determination of these trainees to debut considering how hard they work to be out there and the anxiety they feel until they debut. But There should be strict regulations upon their working hours considering they go to school

It also sucks cuz most companies only accept like 18 and under trainees so if ur older than 18, but ur super talented, ur chance is still small lowkey. And if you want to debut, you would probably have to train for a good 2-5??? Years. And if ur lucky then you get to debut like in a year or something but that rarely happens. I’ve seen multiple trainees (who didn’t debut) but they started training at like 16-17 and they wished they started earlier cuz the kpop industry goes rlly fast. If your too old and not improving then bye bye. But if ur like 15 and not improving, the company will probably still keep you cuz they have time to train you. Idk why they do this😂

I don’t understand people saying “it’s their decision so let’s support them”. If you need your parents’ permission to do something doesn’t it already mean that by law you’re NOT OLD ENOUGH to make decisions on your own? It’s ok to support children’s dreams in a safe environment but let them change their minds, grow and make mistakes without public scrutiny. Didn’t we all want to be pop stars when we were 12? Let them explore more options. And not all parents know how the industry works… babying underage idols after the debut isn’t the best option. There shouldn’t be a need to protect them in the first place. And before anyone says anything, yes, it is a problem not only in K-pop. Western artists also often debut too young. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to change it, no matter where the child labor happens.

This isn’t just a kpop issue, it’s a global pop music industry issue. Children being exploited from a young age has been going on for a long time in America as well. Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers- to name a few, all having been no more than than 13 years old at the time they first became massively successful. Those KIDS were exposed to the immense pressure the world put on them and were never given the chance to simply be a carefree child. They were disturbingly sexualized and influenced to partake in ADULT behaviors, while being thrown into mature/inappropriate environments in their adolescence. A lot of them now have trauma as grown adults due to those experiences. Something needs to change but I don’t foresee that happening with the ways things are and have been for years.

It is really concerning tbh, I was so surprised that I saw no one talking abt it, like everyone was so stressed to say a word, at least the other minors are all teens, but ena is literally just a child, she probably just finished elementary school, she is still discovering herself, and building her personality, and the fact that ppl are really ok with it just makes it worse, I saw some ppl the other day saying that she made her own decision let her be responsible for it, well hell no, girl can't even fly on her own let out making such a life changing decision tbh for me all the blame is on her parents like where they, we all know trainees under 14 can't sign the training contract without their parents consent, which means they are very okay with what's going on, it is really scary seeing that 18\19 y\o is now considered old, back then the maknae was literally 20, and now 20 is old, like freakin/ excuse me what the hell, like we all know how ss are really cruel like much more cruel than just debuting her right away, I can't believe how her parents are literally okay with exposing their child to such an environment like she will express the ''stress feeling'', I didn't express that feeling until I was in 9th grade with my finals literally, like idk if she was my child like that's a damn no until she's 14, and ONLY training no debuting until 18 istg, she is still young y'all don't vote for her I'm sure she is really talented if she was able to join but still, guys vote for the older trainees this is probably their last chance to debut, ena is still young and has so many opportunities ahead of her, and tbh I think I kinda know why they debut them this young, so imo, if ena debuted they can literally resign with her 3 times and she will still be only 33 y\o, like by that time she can start her acting career and stuff yk, like with older trainees like jiwoo, she is almost 22, they could sign with her only once and it will be already enough for her to start her acting career or wtsv she wanna do after it, like with kids they can profit more, I can't believe it if what I'm saying is right, it is just too cruel to literally USE a child for your own benefit, if she really end up making idk how I will stan them,

I think we should care more about hybe idol than YG because it's not their first time debuting a group of minors and when we talk about yg Chiquita is 14(very young) and Rora is 15( who is young but people don't care about her cause she is korean and not thai) but when we look at the other baby monster members they are all 16+ and YG doens't give frequent comebacks nor pressures them like other companies do so, I'm not that worried about chiquita and rora. Yes, i do believe idols below 16 shouldn't debut but what can we do if they say no to debuting they'll likely be kicked out or left like that forever. I'm talking about Hybe rn they are literally debuting groups after groups for making more money, hybe is greedy.. also when new jeans debuted everyone spoke about how they shouldn't debut but when they were gaining more popularity and fans the ones who were against started supporting them, like why the hell is a 15 yr old a brand ambassador!
