My father was a landlord guy. He thought so highly of the Jews. He would always say with high enthusiasm "They are always talking business" We had a lot of them in my neighborhood. They stuck together. I think the Jews are Great!!!

One other thing, I sort of noticed that Jews are not afraid to step out and fail. If they fail (for whatever reason) they will pick themselves up and start over again and continue on. They don't tie their self worth to their actions, therefore aren't crippled by shame when they encounter failure.

As a non Jew who was virtually adopted into the Jewish community in the country I lived in (which was culturally anti-Semitic) I discovered the secrets of success for which Jews are renowned. This video has explained each one. My Jewish partner and his family soon became like a part of my family and I became a part of their family and of the local Jewish community. They taught me a lot and hopefully helped make me a human being who shares their Jewish values. Quite amazing when you consider that as a child I preferred playing the role of Nazi officers in the war games children would play at this time. My favorite toy gun was a replica of the Luger pistol favored by Gestapo officers.

You overlooked one major religious factor: Belief in one God for all humanity who created the Universe and continues to "energize" the world, and sends messages in terms of lessons to individuals, communities, and nations.

Their culture stresses the value of education and mutual encouragement.

But the main reason for their success is their Torah and because God wanted to be this way. Very simple.

Western civilisation could learn a lot from this.

They are like Indians very co-operative among their own group. I do not know much about Indians, but quite a good percentage of Jews are very generous, and they give educational scholarships to academic achievement respective of races or religious background. I was one of the many received academic scholarship from a Jew, and also they are good in philanthropically work, which benefits many poor throughout the world.

The proven success of Jews in our society all throughout their existence is a fact that has intrigued me a lot. I have talked with several Jews, among them successful business people. And I have also read a lot about this topic. I assume, my curiosity probably derives from me seeking my own recipe for success in life.. I have concluded that there are several reasons that contribute to Jews being so successful. The most important of them all, and possibly the all-encompasing reason, is that for thousands of years a poor Jew truly had to fear for his life. The hostility that the Jewish people have suffered due to antisemitism, almost all through the history of their existence is really horrifying (the question of antisemitism is a different topic). While the wealthy Jewish bankier would enjoy societal privilege, due to his influence, the poor Jew would be the first target whenever antisemitism flourished. Even during the holocaust, the wealthiest Jews had it somewhat easier to escape. Therefore, Jews developed an instinct of supporting each other, so that they could altogether "stay afloat" in the socioeconomic environment. To achieve that, Jews prioritize intellectual development. You won´t see too many Jews who are successful in sports, but you will see many Jews excelling in science, law, finance, arts etc. The number of Jews who have won Nobel prizes is just one indicator. Moreover Jewish people have developed a skill in creating financial wealth. For many centuries, Jews were not even allowed to own land, which only increased the necessity for them to develop their skills in different trades that would bring cash. A relative of mine was an antiques dealer, and he had told me that his biggest clients had been Jewish tradesmen. They were very trustworthy, and he could always count on them when they shook hands. I do believe that Jews have become a clever people out of necessity. Most Jews will refute much of what I have stated, since they may perceived it as stigmatizing. Jewish people don´t really want to be labeled with the stereotype of money making etc. I however have big admiration for their resilience and strength, with which they have survived and stayed together after all the hardship and I feel that I have learned a lot from them. Just an honest opinion..

Our Torah teaches us to be kind and generous to everyone specially the Stranger..Our mission in life is to Repair the world (tikum olam). In fact more than 70% of Jewish philanthropy goes to non-Jewish causes..take look at Former mayor Blumberg take look at his history of given. This past month he donated $500.000 million to a black university. Another Jewish donor donated billion dollars to a School of Medicine in the Bronx. The money is earmarked for minority students to get free tuition to become a doctor. Please research all the contributions Jewish have made to the world in philanthropy and in all sciences I think the universe takes care of the people that are generous. as a jew I declare that almost all that was said in this article is misconception. The succesfull Jews are a minority. The so called succesful have businesses in wich they earn good money. There are many who hve different professions with mediocre income but they are transparent because they don't fit the "rule" written in the middle ages by christians according to all Jews are always rich and being rich is their main goal in life. This is a lie. The truth is that religious jews fit more to the old conceptions held by christians but today these jews are a minority separated from all others who are laic or atheists.
