I don't know enough about male v-tubers to generalize them. I've watched 3 or so and they all seemed very different. What was she fighting trying to say? Is there even a stereotype?
To my knowledge, the common stereotype is the flirty and intense one that comes off as a sex pest, that or the submissive and fanservice-y one, both attract parasocial behaviour and both are an offense to the eye's. That or they end up exposed as a PDF who likes cupcakes, with a few good exceptions amongst them.
@@Random_Fanguy Not really, it's hard to pin down an exact stereotype of female Vtubers beyond stereotypical traits like being flirty, if not flirty then comfortable, or cutesy, if not cutesy then sexual. Female Vtubers can go for a more interesting personality since the typical audience for female vtubers, the male one, is probably bigger compared to the smaller female audience that male vtubers aim for.
Went fighting off intrusive thoughts, a muzzle can be quite helpful. That, or just busy your mind: Try and figure out how people do that trick where it looks like they're taking off their thumb. They should keep you entirely preoccupied.
That feature that Twitch introduced that lets you switch on a streamers webcam was brought up, and the guy who got it approved in the 1st place was a male vtuber, who was already known for not being a good guy.
It's wrong to say EVERY male vtuber is like that but is ok to generalize and say that most of them are bad people because... It's true hehe Good male vtuber are a minority

Generalized statements aren't inherently wrong. Some things are generally true. The problem is when something isn't actually true, but somebody claims that it is true.
Male vtubers are like female basketball and soccer players.... they don't get a lot of fans... (unless they submit themselves to degradation in the hands of a bigger alpha female vtuber)
I feel like there’s two kind of male vtubers. Normal awkward guys(some might be more feminine inside) but they’re mentally okay. Or ones that are super manipulative and would throw people under the bus to further their career(these ones are usually in more profitable positions or more popular[their morals are just not there]). The acting personas for guys can be weird too. Himbo, rich, but also rude. It’s so unnatural that it can be odd. Girls have it easy because they just have to be cute. Cute has many avenues.
@@featherless2524 I mean, plenty of female vtubers put on characters as well. But that’s the things that’s great about vtubing in general. You can put on whatever character you want and have fun.
@@Random_Fanguy oh yeah, lots of if not the majority of women put on a persona in vtubing. Though it’s easy to tell if they’re genuine with their character(guess acting skill). I’m just saying the personas that guys have to put up with to appeal the crowd is a weird combination. While I know girls that act like vtubers, I don’t think I met a guy that is like a popular one.

The only male vtubers I know of are chill bros like Aethel (who isn’t always a vtuber anymore), Nux Taku, ones using a woman model but is still clearly a dude, and I’ve seen a few clips of femboy vtubers. And that one outright gay one with a woman model that was in the Filian Roast video.
The only thing I don't like about Aethal is that he got no chill, starting drama and making fun of things he thinks is right to do because of something else bad happening because of those things being related and hey I remember Nux, isn't that the guy that praises himself and pats himself on the back while also literally saying I'm patting myself on the back for the first 15 minutes of the video of EVERY SINGLE VIDEO HE HAS EVER MADE? Yeaa, I remember him

Imma just toss this out there-female VTuber sex pests will slide in some subtle flirts and then bounce back to their regular content, while male VTuber sex pests go all out like they’re Kevin Gates, thinking they’re Gojo-level sexy. Not saying this happens a lot (I totally am), but it seems like they happen to dial the heat up too high and lose the flavor in the process. Maybe some folks are into those overused tropes and jokes for 2.5 hours straight, but i'm not. Learn to piano. Draw. Do interactive events. anything please
This implies she was initially generalizing them but is trying not to do that anymore. I’m not exactly thrilled that she vocalized that mantra but I’m glad she doesn’t want to continue that terrible way of thinking.
This is obvious but generalizing in general (lol) is stupid because not everyone of similar physical qualities are the same. If you guys want good male Vtubers there’s always HoloStars. I recommend Altare.
No, she really has a problem with them and it sort of gives off a "most male content creators can't be trusted" vibe. She ranted about male vtubers in her latest stream as well and said a bunch of unflattering things about them.
Remember kids: racism, misogyny, bigotism, homophobia, antisemitism (to name a few, you get the idea) are all absolutely bad and unjustified. But at the same time stereotypes exist for a reason, humans are extremely adept at recognising patterns.
Why are there no based male vtubers you would like as your bro, instead they all seem to be vtweeters that get offended at the typical woke targets, seen it so often. That doesn’t help the fact that vtubers are largely watched because they’re either cute or sexy, and to straight men, other men are neither
Your Average Bo imo does pretty good, tbh I only watch female vtubers regardless, but every time I've seen him he's A) not a sex pest B) based advice, has a female vtuber friend they regularly talk to with no signs of flirting or weirdness C) Obviously nearly broke, which is relatable
From what I've seen of male vtubers, they very often seem like they're the kind of people that never learned proper social skills and, by some stroke of luck, managed to make it big as a virtual youtuber, giving them a lot of influence, but not the experience/knowledge not to abuse it.
@@SchemingGoldberg I don’t get why people here want to draw this distinction between the two groups. All vtubers are weird, it’s what makes them fun and entertaining. Lots of female vtubers are pervs and girlfailures and the same goes for the dude. It’s not that serious.
