i do believe in destiny(invisible string theory) but i believe in working hard. I mean i see destiny as, when i look back at events that already happened and how misfortune struck even after trying hard to escape,or how we get lucky. But seeing obsessively terming every thing currently happening as destiny (as opposed to past events) just makes decisions irrational,like "ohh may be we bumped cuz we are meant to be together" and then making decisions without judging pros cons ....
I have never watched Sex and The City. Not even one episode and I haven’t heard of this Taxi Cab theory. In my life, I noticed that attractive people date all sorts of people and one day decides to settle down and they will pick whoever happens to be close to them at that moment in time. This is my own observation. I think it is sorta like the taxi cab theory. It is true for many people who has the options to date various people. Of course if you cannot even get a date, then it won’t apply to you.
