Why are Mudwings are the most underrated tribe?

Hey, cool video. I really agree with a lot of the points you made, and your art is really cool. One thing though. At about 2:12 in your video, there is a bunch of sudden flashing. You should make sure to add a flash warning!

While the Mudwings are dull, there are two things that could spice them up. Mudwings and their relations to the scavengers aka human, with the Mud Kingdom being situated between the two largest scavenger settlements on Pyrrhia, seeing as it is more medieval period humans so they would tend to travel around more between places. As well as the Mudwing family dynamic when it comes to hybrids.

I really love mudwings, because of how close they are with their family. I wish we had a book in like arc #4 about a mudwing who got seperated from its family as the main protagonist of the book and is trying to find their family back, they aren’t the bigwing, but a sib, so not really as focused on as the bigwing. But after the family assumes them dead, the mudwing finds friends from several tribes (including Pantala) and then basically a new prophecy, story, and new protagonists are born and all that mess, this is my idea on how arc 4 will start I and a fun plot twist would be if that clay is this mudwings’ Bigwing, it would be epic. But probably not gonna happen, I kinda just want this mudwings’ family to be just commoners

Don’t really have any opinions yet since I haven’t read all the books yet, but I do like Clay the mudwing. I don’t hate the color palette but seems limited I honestly don’t know, but yeah I do agree with the points you made but once again I don’t really have any opinions yet since I have not read all the books yet and also I’m a huge fan of the books. Short answer: they’re useless unless they are a blood red egg

I feel like, most of the hate or “boringness” of the Mudwing tribe comes from its lack of development and it’s general lack of any “History” so to say. When taking two books side by side: in this Case, Clay and Winter. We start to see more reason why the Mudwing Kingdom feels uninteresting. - First of, we have a lack of books with characters from the actual Mudwing kingdom. I couldn't count clay there, since he didn't live there and has no real idea of how the survival and tribal world there works. - Secondly in a majority of books i feel like Mudwings are portrayed as "Brave Idiots”. Not in all, but when looking at the Encounter with Snowfall and her sister in book 14, we see how most common Mudwings are treated and that paints a subconscious opinion of them that entwines with the lack of actual knowledge of the Mudwings kingdom. - And thirdly, the lack of barely any development outside their own books. When seeing the specific kingdoms, we can see progressive changes as the Books went on, the Skywings got a new queen before we got to know of it in book 8, same with book 10 and the tribal war between the Nightwings and the Icewings. The Seawings had a development and history formed within the darkstalker book, the Sandwings are kind of the whole plot for the first 5 books simply due to the Prophecy and the main antagonists the rainwings kingdom has appeared in multiple books beyond theirs. The lack of any known development within the Mudwing Kingdom generally makes them less interesting. While everything is happening around them, the Kingdom never felt like it was developing, which is a real shame. I quite like the idea of Sibling Bonding.
