It's the fact they add horizontal content instead of building vertical. Lot's of random bullshit but none of it interact with eachother really. So we got 50 tiny features that are standalone instead of 10 bigger features that feel more fleshed out and interactive.
I just found this channel through the Dark Rising video bc RU-vid recommendations. And goddamn do I love hearing this guy rant on whatever subject he's talking about. I genuinely thought his channel was way bigger when watching that video. Definitely made my boring boring sunday.
I'm a millennial so the "this is for kids and lame" stuff I witnessed was with nintendo back in school. 4th graders were too mature for that "kiddie shit" and wanted playstation 2 instead of a gamecube back then. Also had the side effect of franchises for kids like Sonic producing edgy trash like Shadow the Hedgehog to appeal to those 4th-6th graders lol
Im an outlier in that I dont really like Minecraft and was in the minority of people who doesnt really like it, im aware of the modding scene and how deep it goes, but everything in it I feel other games do way better I was a Spore kid and Spore is my comfort game really
@belevs I feel you man just don't overwork yourself and lose your passion. Your script writing, choice of content, and voice work well together. Just keep it slow and keep up your high quality.
Banger video my dude. Keep 'em coming. Nice to hear someone highlight the free-form nature of Minecraft as a game, instead of zero-ing in on certain aspects of what makes it special. It's an easy trap to fall for when discussing the game, glad you could take a step back to look at the big picture.
People hating on Mojang for being "lazy" know absolutely nothing about game development. You can have thousand ideas on how to improve a game or make it more exciting but keeping the balance between new content and not overwhelming players is a very underestimated and difficult task. Especially when you have a game that has such a huge demographic with players of ALL ages playing it. Also there should be some gratitude for devs keeping a game alive for so many years and players receiving so many updates completely for free. All that with just a one time purchase for a very reasonable price No DLC, No paid Battle passes, No paid items. (There is the marketplace but it's not affecting the core game, neither is it shoved up your face all the time and you're not missing out on anything without purchasing from it.) It could be much MUCH worse in a time where Freemium games are the norm and even huge 70$ AAA games have no shame in using in game currencies for game breaking add ons Yet people are hating on one of the few left big games with humanity in it. Smh
I don't think people have issues with the game as much as they do with those who own it. I was among the first to migrate my account to the microsoft one, and now at random I just don't have the fucking game on it. It would be easy to love Minecraft if I weren't expected to suck microdick and go through 100 hoops just to play the game I owned for years.
Account migration was definitely a frustrating choice by Microsoft, even if it ended with a “free” copy of the bedrock version. You should reach out to mojang support regarding your lost game, they were surprisingly helpful when I lost access to my account
At the core, minecraft is a good game and I sometimes go back to play older versions with mods, but since 1.17 update, most of the devs do not care about what players think and are focusing to push liberal ideologies instead of making good updates
The core gameplay loop is terrible in Minecraft. The progression is basically nonexistent, so if you are not a creative person into building there is nothing to do in the base game. The servers are what made the game fun for everyone with the mini games and sense of community.
@@737Igi69 not an excuse. Terraria is also a sandbox game. You can make some nice builds but there are also impactful items and bosses to battle. It has something for every type of player and there is no reason the best selling game of all time can't do that.
