Can not put in to words how much I absolutely love and appreciate all your videos. Always look forward to watching them. Have a wonderful day and stay warm.
I love how smart MaryCarl is. She knows so much about all of the birds/growls you all have. You are awesome parents!!!! I love watching you all. Stay safe be careful and God bless you all and your animals.
I just love the knowledge of Mary Carl, if she was an agriculture teacher she would be VIP and every student would love her. Those who have a mind for agriculture are genuine to the core. God bless Shalom
I just love. Watching y’all while I’m getting ready for work in the morning. So fun and relaxing. Puts me in a peaceful good mood. Love y’all. God Bless!!!
Yes Katherine, She is such a beautiful asset to that farm. I'm wondering how long they live. I hope a long life spam. She just loves Jason an she speaks to him everytime 😄 to funny.
Once again, Mary Carl just amazes me with her expertise on her birds. She is so dedicated and knows more than a lot of folks out there. She could be a teacher for sure. Is the alarm system the Geese that makes all the noise when hungry? Nugget is a character, he messes with Mama Cog like he wants to have a smack down, does he need a mate? Are they better off single? That was nice of ya'll to re-home the birds to friends.
Hey dear ones, cool that you have Barnevelders! That breed originating from our little Dutch town Barneveld, is for me the definition of 'chicken'! Blessings! Diana, from The Netherlands ;)
Thank you for brightening my day. I am my Dad’s caregiver who is nearly 100. It ‘s been a challenging past two days. Watching your video helped. I am an only child, too. The two chickens that crossbred are beautiful. I think my favorites are the bantam chickens. Pheasants are such beautiful birds. Stay warm and dry. 🌹🌹🌹
Ya'll are the absolute cutest, most adorable, genuine people I've ever seen. I get tickled over ya'll. Especially lately with Mrs. Brooke being so prevalent in the videos. She's my spirit animal 🤣 I played softball and travel ball for years and have a lot in common with her so I relate to her well.
Omg that’s a lot of geese that are goi g to be born soon. The baby silky is so cute. Nugget sure is a good helper. Spring is almost here I’m sure on your side the heat will come soon as for us Canadian we still have approximately 2 months and half for the warm weather to come. Mary Carl you have beautiful ducklings.🥰❤️
You guys working your buns off and having the best time joking around is so refreshing, when it seems a LOT of people are in a very bad mood! I love your setup on your farm, which a lot of thought went into it, I can tell. Everything seems to run so smoothly. So glad I found your channel. Did you all go to a gathering at Keeping it Dutch, where Shawn had a pig roast? I remember seeing your faces at an event somewhere. And Mary Carl, you sure fave done a great job reaching your feathered friends! And, by the way, I love your name!!! Hope I spelled it right! Blessings!!!
This was such a fun video! Thanks for the laughs! I’ve never seen a red gold before. They are just gorgeous!! Can’t wait to see the geese hatching!! Blessings to you guys!
Wowza! I really enjoyed the candling of the eggs in the barn! The update on sassy cat too. Can we visit the turkey momma again? We’re you able to get the rotten egg out of her nest? Can y’all candle those dark button quail eggs? Or will it not show anything cause of the shell darkness. & those 5mo old lacy chickens MaryCarl bred in the egg laying room are gorgeous. Sooo much to see. So exciting. It really brightens my day during this emotional depression I’m struggling with.
No birds are smart or sneaky enough to get away from young MC !!! That young lady is a burden whisperer no doubt about it!! Luv your vids and your family Cog squad
Did you remember the feed? That Nugget is a cutie. I would love to spend some time with an Emu. White House on the Hill has 2 females AND a male. I don't know why they fascinate me, but Emus seem fun. Peaches, I think Tom Brady needs to come see you! At the very least he needs to send you a signed photo. (Grin) Here I sit in Western Wilson County, TN all snowed in and bored. Thanks for brightening my day Cog Hill gang! Stay safe.
I love the beginning of the video where I can see your house, garage and mom's house! You have such a perfect set up! Kind of gives me that Tajh Mahal look...lol.
I had to comment! The silver chickens y'all said are part starlight and part silkie were the most beautiful chicken I've ever seen. I really wish you could recreate them on a large scale. They could be called silver smiths chicken breed. 😁❣️
That's what i love about quail. They are super fast breeders. 6-7 weeks after hatching they are laying eggs. At 8 weeks they are fertile and ready to incubate more. You can go from 10 to 1000 quail so quick.
Peaches called me, she said "bring it". She'll whip nugget any day. "Nugget has ADHD and will squirrel off some where." Her words not mine. I might have just harvested one of the ring necks and kept them, might have.
Pheasants, peacocks (peafowl), turkeys, partridges, and grouse are from the family phaianidae, so, yes, closely related. 😃 Wish I could say I'm as smart as MaryCarl, but I had to look it up. I DID know about peafowl and pheasants, but NOT the other 3. Probably should have guessed. 😏
I'll trade you your rain for our ❄snow....I live in NE Texas....its crazy. I'm so happy to see yalls faces though. I've been without internet and hardly any cell data so I'm at my sister's today.
As always, thanks for such a pleasant video. Could you spare some time on your podcast and talk about "the hatching day". I've been hatching chicken eggs for some time, however, I don't have enough knowledge to be confident when I handle the eggs that are pipped. All the internet resources shows that not to get involved on hatching and I do understand why and I do my best not to open the incubator. So far, every hatching day few of early pipped eggs have hard time complete the hatch on it's own for over 20hrs. In the meantime, the most of others are hatched but few are in progress and that's the time I get super nervous for those early pipes would die and I need to help them at the same time those ones that are pipped will get dry out if I open the incubator. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to explain. I have a small square incubator that can hold 2dozens,fyi. Anyhow, I see MC open the incubator and handle the eggs that are pipped and she knows what she is doing with confidence. It'd be a lot of help if you guys can freely talk about the hatching process and I can pick your brains and gain some confident. I hope it's not too much hassle for you. Thank you Cog Squad 👍
MC is amazing . She is ready to start serious Chicken breeding. Pheasants look nice and after that there is not much nice about them. just my opinion of course. hahaha
I’m new to eating vegan & everytime I feel the desire to eat non vegan I just “visit Cog farm “ & I’m reminded of all the gentle being at risk of horrible, needless suffering.
DID YOU NOTICE THE LONE DUCK THAT WADDLE UP ROAD WHILE YOU STANDING IN ROAD HOLDING WATER JUG. IT WENT OFF TO THE LEFT AT END OF CULVERT BEFORE YOU MOVED,,ANEST MAYBE????
MaryCarl, do the little ducks still have to have heat or is the straw enough to keep them warm at this age? I maybe am being to careful with my ducklings and keeping them heated to long. How old are those ducklings now? I was thinking 3 weeks old.
