Why are the prices of pets falling in Singapore?

Prices of pets like puppies and kittens have dropped by as much as 40 per cent. Pet stores say this is because people have less time and money for pets. Competition among stores is also driving prices down. But animal welfare organisations are warning against impulse buying, which could lead to abandoned pets.

It's time that those cut throats pet shop owners realize their greediness. Puppies and kittens were sold at exorbitant prices to the extent of ten of thousands. I hope the prices will come down to less than a thousand averagely like those days where you can get a pure breed puppy for $800.

My neighbor's children wanted a cat for a pet. Heard from his wife telling my wife that it cost a few thousands at the pet shop. So, one weekend her husband and I went down to the void deck, scoop up a stray, brought it to a pet groomer and then gave it to his children and said we got it at a pet shop at a discount😁

STOP BUYING PETS ALREADY!!! PICK ON UP OFF THE STREET & CHANGE A LIFE!!!! SERIOUSLY. We have 7 rescue dogs, 4 of which are pit bull dogs that people try to buy from us every time we go to the river walk. All free. All found on roads, alleys & jobs. STOP BREEDING & BUYING DOGS!!!!!
