I was adamant on finding all of he Korok seeds until I looked up what the price was. When I realized its a Golden piece of crap I thought it was absolutely pointless. If it allowed you to seek for a lot of money or unlocked some cool stuff would have been nice but I feel like it was a slap in the face
@@omegaharbmaster I didn’t come up with this on my own, but saw this comment elsewhere: I feel like the “prize” is the golden poop because it’s Nintendo’s way of giving criticism towards those who explore only to check off a completionist checklist, instead of exploring the game more naturally. I feel like it’s a decent point.
If they were trying to hide from Calamity Ganon, why did a couple dozen of them hide in Hyrule Castle? It was ground zero for the Calamity, and Ganon resided there afterwards.
My theory is that post-Calamity, the Korok population played a huge, planned-out prank on Hestu. They stole the Korok seeds from inside Hestu’s Maracas, and hid throughout the world, challenging him to find them to get them back. Of course, on his travels to find his mischievous neighbors, Hestu was assaulted by a gang of Bokoblins. Link came along and retrieved his instruments that were stolen from him. Afterwards, Link helped good ‘ol Hestu out in recovering the Korok droppings for his Maracas.
Well, the Great Deku Tree didn't create them as such. He merely helped the Kokiri (regular Hylian children who went to live with him) evolve quickly. Humans really are the most populous species. The Koroks are the most common, the Hylians second and the Gerudo third, all of whom are Human. Then is the Sheikah species, comprised of Sheikah and Yiga. Third is the Zora, so Zora and Rito. Gorons are the worst off species then.
@@forestreflection2066 no. They were around before the Humans came into being. There's much detail I can go into, but for simplicity's sake I'll say this: in Skyward Sword all Humans were sent to live on Skyloft. Hyrule Historia makes it clear that it's every single Human up there. Impa, a Sheikah, lives on the surface. There's a whole lot more to do with the Oocca and whatnot, but maybe another time.
A couple problems with this idea: 1. Hestu said that the Koroks pulled a "prank" on him and took the seeds in his Maracas, that's why they were hidden across the map, so that Hestu couldn't take them back 2. In Age of Calamity, it was shown that monsters and Yiga could get through the lost woods 3. It's pernounced Hes-Too not Het-Soo Other than that cool vid.
Mainly it was Stal monsters, so they'd be the ones who died in there (possibly lost). Yiga, however, are Sheikah. They are probably clairvoyant enough to navigate it easily, or could just teleport in and out.
@@xinpingdonohoe3978 After the first hollow is defeated Astor orders the monsters to protect the remaining ones, implying that he summoned them, but you're right, it's never stated that he brought them there.
@@Bonnielikescats good point. He's definitely a general in the monster army, and given that Stal enemies are reborn because of Malice, he may be able to animals them like the Hollows or Blight Ganons
The part about monsters and Yiga Clansmen having a hard time navigating the Lost Woods brings up a question: How was Astor able to find Korok Forest and litter monsters all around the Lost Woods?
The reason the Koroks are hiding is because they pulled a prank on Hestu and are playing hide-and-seek. The literal first Korok you find tells you this and gives you their seed after realizing you’re not Hestu. When when you meet him, Hestu explains they stole the Korok Seeds from his maracas while he was sleeping, that’s why he’s on the road to Hateno/Kakariko (forget which) and you give him the seeds. After 3 weapon bag expansions, he says he should head home, makes a pit stop at the Wetlands Stable, and heads back to the Lost Woods.
990 is a pretty small number of survivors for an entire race, the other races we probably only saw a portion of the populace. But yeah, the Koraks did good surviving the Great Calamity
U know just off topic when I first saw botw as code name zelda u I thought it was windwaker 2 or a prequel to spirit tracks. I mean botw link had the very same shirt that toon link had on in outset island before he got his tunic and imo it still has elements from it. Also koroks being everywhere, the fact that u can't dive in the game only swim ( and even that has limits like in ww), the paraglider acting like ww korok leaf ( it moves when u push the analog stick and it moves with wind currents), and the fact it has rito made me really think it was toon link grown up and finally finding new hyrule and exploring the wilderness . Am I the only one who thought that at first? Here was my theory: toon link spent years on zeldas ship which made them older link and zelda get attacked and link falls overboard washing up on the shores of botw hyrule with nothing but boxers then the sheika find him and put him in the chambers for link to heal then he wakes up and figures out how to survive in the wild stealing the enemies weapons and wearing old leather clothes. He finds out other races live here and finds the goron, zora, sheika, and another section of rito. From their villages he buys armor and gear. They tell him there is a legend called malus that comes every 100 years to demolish the land and that a choosen hero will stop it.link then goes to those towers ( that later turn into the train towers from spirit tracks) and powers them up to get a fighting chance against the evil. Finally the evil comes out and link defeats it then in post credits zelda and her crew finally found link and makes alies with the tribes and makes new hyrule.
The real reason is actually quite messed up. The developers were just being massive trolls and wanted to add a massive sidequest where the player would spend hours upon hours to complete and literally get useless cr** for all their wasted hard effort...
My theory: *There emassing an army to take over...* *Think about it... With the kingdom gone, Ganon sealed, and Link BONKED unconscious in the tub, who could stop them?🥴*
Not to "be that guy" wiley......but.....it didn't bring him back to life, Link wasn't dead, it just healed him from a near death wound.....just sayin....
I think it's maybe just a game of hide n seek, I think the reason the population of them is so big is due to the wildness of nature that the Deku Tree is connected to all the plant life they & the koroks are known to spread the plantlife, it is said flowers grow on battlefeilds due to the ash blood etc. and boy did the Calamity war give them that and for 100 years they got to pollenate the battlefeilds of hyrule without much human intervention and due to the nature of the lost woods being able to warp space i think it cand move location but that bit is a theory
I just got my last seed yesterday, so yay!! Never doing that again. That being said, I though there were so many Koroks because let's face it, Breath of the Wild is mostly, well wilderness, I always thought that the more nature and wild there were the more Koroks there were
Me: *reads the title* Also me: Because Nintendo loves torturing their fans....duh... remember the climbing speed of Link in Twilight Princess? It's pretty obvious 😂
You take an answer I mentioned about how there's more Koroks than any other group , still this is a good video. I saw in your reply a mini theory video your planning.
Let's play a game.. there are 2 hidden weegees in the video, respond here if you know where they are with their timestamps and be hidden in the next video. JUST LIKE MEREMY!
Well, yes. Remember in The Wind Waker, when the Koroks went around planting trees? It's similar here. They're literally spreading their seed, in both meanings.
They are annoying most of the time. And the lost woods is a very small place. I have only found ONE, JUST ONE shrine there. Been close to others, but have NEVER SEEN ANY!
