Tec Toy was not limited to Mega Drive and Master System plug n plays, it was the official distributor for SEGA products in Brazil, it released the real hardware for Mega Drive and Master System, along with the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast. It was a also a pioneer of the gaming market in Brazil, bringing the first ever localized videogames to brazilian portuguese, some of wich were japanese exclusive, never coming to the US or Europe. It deserves a lot of respect for what it did in the industry back in the day.

The enemies that aren’t Pokémon in that first Pokemon bootleg are actually from Game Freak’s Genesis tie in game to the manga Magical Taruruto Kun. Pretty decent platformer.

[likes your comment] Thank you! It's great to see people actually experienced these bootlegs before. I checked other footage of the Akira prototype and the dungeon crawler section is not supposed to be pitch black, so that was definitely an emulation issue.

Oh, Brutal isn't that bad, considering its competition. It was the best of the low end 2D fighting games from the Street/Virtua/Mortal Kombat craze. I'll play Paws of Fury over Clayfighter any day of the week.

I remember the community workshop for Streets of Rage 2 having mods that featured "child abuse". That's the nice way of saying it. I reported the related mods but I doubt Valve took any action. Kinda made me lose interest.

Now that attention is drawn to it, give it a while and Sega will remove the Workshop feature for Mega Drive. You people are incapable of keeping anything on the hush hush. Same reason websites like Vimm's is under attack. Decades of Internet history and archiving down the drain because you want a little clout.

You mean to say that absolutely no one in Sega ever checked the Steam workshop content for one of their games until someone on RU-vid made a video about it? Guarantee you, Sega is already well aware of the content in the steam workshop. It’s not cutting into profits of any sort and is probably helping with sales of the base game. They don’t care.
