All these game so far really further proves Grubby's point that good decision making and good economy management is a lot more important than just raw micro.

This is my new favourite type of videos. I watched Grubby's games for so long that I sometimes forget how ordinary folks play Warcraft (and how I played it all those years ago)...

The Worst thing about watching this, is the knowledge that if I played against the losers of each match I would get ROFLOLMAOstomped by either of them to the point I would never be allowed in a WC3 match ever again.

I am currently struggling with a lot of depressive thoughts, and you are one of the reasons why I haven't thrown my life away yet, when I feel bad, I always come here and watch you cheerfully do what you love, no one restricts you from being yourself, and never or sad, which I think is a huge thing in today's world, I just want to thank you that this channel still exists, I've been a big fan of warcraft 3 since I was 12 years old, and I've watched a few streams elsewhere, but none of them were of this quality. I love these videos. I also like that Grubby is trying to explain the possible reasoning of players and highlights positive aspects similar to T90's Low ELO Legends videos instead of only ridiculing them.

Part of what makes Grubby so funny is how he weaves in subtle references to random things every so often 9:55 "10 is just right out" from Monty Python talking about the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch :D

I have already won five games since watching the first bronze league heroes video you made. I hadn't won any on w3c before. I'm 570mmr, and everyone i beat has been 800+

Casting Grubby = Happiest Grubby. The shenanigans these low elo players get into is comical (All in good fun). This form of content was so refreshing to see!

This new "series" reminds me of the time my buddy got selected for a main stage/stream game in an MLG, he was like a bronze/silver zerg player in SC2, and he was up against another similar ranked player. I think it was just randomly picked because all the big name pros were on break or done for the day, but the casters were having a blast, in a positive way. Even the crowd was super into it, and pretty non-toxic considering the skill level. I think my most memorable live MLG moment lol.

these players who are not fully optimzied encompass the original spirit of wc3, where anything could happen at anytime and every crazy strategy or hero combination could work

Absolutely awesome series, I just came back to WC3 after 5 years its cool that I can play people at my noob level.

"*redacted* is trying to find his quit the game buttons." These are such good way to see the various different skill sets people possess interacting. When you think the micro is so bad they can't win... macro kicks in. Or vise versa, the eb and flow is wild to behold. More people need to get in on this. I'll be getting w3champs.

Maybe an interesting concept for future videos: Your fans send you replays of their matches, commentary like you did here and at the end you try to guess both players' rating. Feel like it could be a lot of fun!

Hi grubby! don't know how much you are enjoying these types of content but I am really enjoying it. I think it is critical for advertising the game because it shows how the average(below) player can still have some and play great RTS even in 2024. Newbies might stop fearing RTS.

probably important to remember that this is still WC3 Champions, which means that even the lowest MMR players are probably many-year veterans of the game with a lot of general knowledge and practice (if not skill). These are the worst... of the most dedicated WC3 competitive players. Still a lot of fun though!

The building placements are a great example of what happens when there is a meta, people know the meta, and do not understand what they are doing, they just do it.

@6:33 I guess he would have made a priest but the guy was supply blocked, so he chose to use that time for an upgrade while making another farm! his mistake was not realizing he was supply blocked while power building the sanctum.

This reminds me of back when I tried playing on the Asian BNet server, probably back in 2003 or 2004. Some of the low level players would have 400 apm and still be absolutely awful. The high level players would also sit in normal chat and accept challenges from random players, and they didn't even care who observed, so I got to see that, too. Eventually, they started telling me and my friend to get off their server in broken English, but it took quite a while.

I think you're missing a few of the reasons for their decisions. The priest adept training was because he noticed he was food capped only after finishing the sanctum - he probably did plan to rush out a priest originally, but had to make the best of it when he noticed he screwed up.

What Grubby doesnt seem to get that lot of people just get better overtime and by that i mean the skill of different ranks grows over time. I remember playing LoL 5 years ago. I was high Gold/low plat at the time. Now when i returned and got adjusted to the changes, i notice the same level of play that i used to play at... in low silver. Same applies to such an old game like Warcraft 3. Everybody knows about militia or ancient of war creeping at this point.

To be fair they arent that bad. I used to play alot back when it was still a young game and I honestly think that 2024 bronze is like 2002 platinum. Peoples were terrible back then.
