I think all of us are done playing along and calling BS on Connor allegedly being injured, bad guy inc student or not this whole fight has had bad news written all over it from the beginning and EVERYONE could tell it was from Connor’s camp. This is one of the few times where just being completely straight with the audience would’ve helped us immensely in understanding Connor’s reasonings for pulling out which he’s never done before. Instead we’re left to speculate. And Connor’s so successful in this sport and within this space that he’s not going to receive any sympathy when the truth inevitably comes out even if he has legitimate reasons to pull out from thee June date that he wanted. People are going to continue to bash him like they’re already doing now which both helps and hurts the fight going forward. That being said, I agree with Chael’s previous takes that if this fight got cancelled for any reason we should not rebook it. And they did it anyways, which genuinely annoys me because I hate that Connor gets away with this bullshit. It’s exactly why I’m completely apathetic to seeing him fight again because he’s becoming annoying with constantly talking about how he’s coming back and “the ufc won’t give me a fight” but HES the one who cancelled after they gave him what he wanted. My thoughts are Conor was knocked out in training and due to concussion advised not to fight. Also I am someone who has been a huge Conor fan going all the way back, who has rooted for him all the way up until now, but this move is so far from what made him, him it’s no longer the same going forward in my opinion.
