I thought they were just the same at everything but they got many different things such as: Lumine is actually the Offense whole Aether is the Defense. They both work together as Aether plays the Defensive role whole Lumine starts racking up damage. Lumine canonically has a higher DPS output than Aether.

WIthout her he is just like Kazuma from Kono Subarashi, pathetic but heavily focused on wanting to find her and not wasting time on any side content and doesn't care about any side characters. As for Lumine (player ver) I view her like how most of the fans view her. Kind, caring, and a desperate obsessed fangirl for Aether never seeing when he isn't perfect.
