And also he is the one that wakes us Filipinos up from the manipulation that we were under for so many years. He still has 2 years left and he could've done more if the pandemic didn't happen. but still. He has the highest approval rate. We shed tears as he left the seat. he was loved & still loved today.

I spend three months in the Philippines every year and I have never experienced racism there just as I had never experienced racism in my face here in America..when other black people ask me what is it like as a black man in the Philippines I just crack up and laugh because I tell them I'm too busy being an American enjoying the food culture and different ethnicities of Philippines and that usually in foreign countries they don't see you as black they see you as an American so when you're in a foreign country put your best foot forward because if you act like a jackass you hurt that next good American who goes there because he will be similarly judged..just as the Japanese say first impression is the last impression... Pinoys don't judge you on color but the content of your character so my advice for black Americans going to the Philippines would be to leave the American concept of race at the airport because outside of America it does not mesh in a lot of countries...pugay . Mabuhay ang philippines!!

To be honest wherever you came from, and whatever race you have, as long you don't cause any trouble and being rude to filipinos, you are very welcome. Filipinos are nicest people to be with specially when you are from foreign countries. We don't always see different people from other countries so we treat them well to make a good relationship.

Just recently saw this video and I'm actually from one of the most dangerous places in Philippines before Duterte became a president. A place where you are just doing a simple walk when suddenly a hand grenade is tossed in the air and boom and also place where you can buy drugs in a local small stores (sari-sari store) alongside the road. Imagine drug Lords/sellers using 9 year old kids to carry the drugs..also, my Uncle who's actually on the top 3 list of drug addicts in my hometown is well and alive. I want to clarify that Duterte didn't issue a shoot to kill, lol, bruh, they were given a chance to surrender and enroll in a rehabilitation program, and they are also monitored to make sure that they really change..you see, if you don't live in an environment where you won't feel safe ( let's be real, so many crimes committed like raping children due to influence of drugs or stealing from others), it might sounds inhumane. But for us who lived years of terror in our very own hometowns found hope in this guy..Our place got safer and many of my personal friends (who won't listen to us to change and stop their vices) are now living their lives working clean and proper jobs. Imagine each lives that were spared when an addict change for the better, not just them, their families but also the community..

I felt so sorry for the discrimination you have experienced because you are black. But let me tell u this " God made us all the same, created as one" regardless of our skin color we are all beautiful in his eyes, I think that's all that matters. I met a lot of black people here in the UAE, from Uganda, kenya, Nigeria and Cameron we work in the same company, trust me they are so good and kindhearted people I have ever known. We love u and we are all the same. In the Philippines if we see black we adore them thinking they are one of the best basketball players or singers. ❤

I was working in a hotel in qatar which where he checked in when he came to qatar for a visit. I'm Japanese and the time I went to Phillipines the first thing that struck me was the casual talk which feels like you're talking to yakuza in a good way, and this doesn't exist in Japan as the people talk in a timid way. Also the philippines is not that poor, I think they're just dirty, I mean trash is thrown on the streets and I think that's a major issue, I think when they solved the trash problem then I think they have the potential to rise up like my country Japan, it's just for the time I stayed there the media mainly focuses on celebrities but all in all its good, food is good, people is good, service is good.

I cried when I saw him crying and almost giving up but he did not. He continued fighting for our country, risk his life yet receiving so much criticism and hate.
