Like most people here, I only came for the "why are you running" part but ended being captivated by the whole scene. This is classic. Nollywood at its best. Gotta love Nigerian cinema.
The fact that he's the most rational and coherent part of this entire situation. Who we thought to be the antagonist was actually the protagonist the enitre time.
the ending where he says in a somber tone "I don't blame them. i blame myself" was the most hardcore contrast to everything that came before in this scene
She's running because she told the man she needed money to travel, so he gave it to her. However, she lied and spent the money on something else. So he caught her and found that she did not travel. She was running to avoid being caught, but she soon realized it was worthless because he had already seen her.
The body language is so exaggerated I love it. This is truly a masterpiece. It’s something we haven’t experienced in American cinema or any other cinema for that matter.
@@queenofnyc5584please tell me you are joking. This many of those gestures are traditional nigerian mockery dance or moves. Who is imitating who😂😂😂😂. Americans like to claim everything. This is not oil
I liek memes I think it was cuz the man gave her money to travel but she used the money for something else so when the man drove next to her, she ran away because she didn't want him to see her and find out that she didn't travel
I love how this is supposed to be a movie but it just looks like a really bizarre real life situation that someone filmed on their phone and posted to their blog.
Last week, I decided to give this clip a shot because I was curious where the meme came from. One week later, I think I've watched this entire clip like 8 times all the way through in utter fascination. The woman in blue obviously stole the show but I think the guy does a great job acting. I'm not even being sarcastic, I really felt his frustration and and his resolve to change his life.
you literally just saw somebody's comment and copied it hoping people would give you likes and how I know that is because the og one is from 2 years ago and yours is from 2 weeks ago
@@candyflossy6423 you're too idiot to tell me that i copied it bcuz i didnt tho how can u make sure i copied it to the man/woman who said it 2 years ago? Look at the date i posted it
Not only does this scene display a tour-de-force of acting talent, but it also has insight into property law and financial responsibility. In her words, “do yah worst!”
Also with a resounding “dis my business, *body slap* not yo business!“ we can truly see the assertion brought upping by the protagonist, making her case against this benevolent antagonist.
She is right. If you give the money willingly and they change their mind, it's still a gift legally and you can't do anything under British law, which I assume Nigeria follows closely due to colonisation.
Paulo Jorge Cruz Pereira Rodrigues Melo e Almeida You seem to be triggered besides if you don't like don't watch. Either way we get the money from your view.
"Oh, you even lied about your name. So your name is not Cleopatra. Your name is COMMON. ORDINARY. MONIKA! No wonder! Why everything about you is moni, moni, moni" 😂😂👏👏
I stopped an old man along the way... Hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies... He turned to me as if to say... WHY ARE YOU RUNNING?? WHY ARE YOU RUNNING??!!
