As long as you're moving toward establishing your business in your market by doing the things we help our clients do, working for the clubs can be beneficial. Rather than thinking strictly transactionally, and treating your calls as one-off events, provide great customer service. This can have the effect of producing Reviews, Referrals, and Repeat Customers. Of course, the goal is to move away from the clubs over time. This usually happens organically due to opportunity cost.
At our tow service, at which I'm a dispatcher, we only take motor club calls as last resort - when it's slow and we have technicians standing idle. That is other than AAA calls - we routinely handle their requests. We find the motor clubs employ "dispatchers" who, more often than not, are not fluent in English and are very hard to understand. This coupled with frustrations getting paid after rendering services - generally has us saying "were not available" to their calls. Another observation - the clubs must call multiple tow agencies to get the lowest bid on a call. So, even if we say "yes" it's a crap-shoot knowing if we'll actually be rolling.
Tim, thanks. And the sad part is motorists still trust that the motor clubs have their best interests in mind. After waiting for hours for help to arrive, many give up and just Google the nearest towing company.
@@suhibmansour6092 Yeah really.. I've used three.. And ALL let me sit. once up to 14 days. THEY SUCK cutting our pricing as owners, and they don't even know how to run a towing outfit let alone be a middleman for one.
In bc Canada club pay less but we get fuel rebates and a percentage of our previous year sales for reimbursement towards employees supplies/truck supplies like dollies ect… paid weekly When I was growing (always growing) it made a difference when applying for leases /or loans . Even when I purchased my property it made a big difference to lenders .. I used to be a banker before I bought a towing company…. Long story lol
The fuel rebates program is not too dissimilar to some of the clubs in the US that use what's called a bonus program. They attempt to ensure good service by sending surveys to their members to rate the towing companies. In my mind, it assumes that the towing company owners don't understand the value of providing great customer service. And, one survey that isn't 5-stars can derail the entire bonus, causing the business owner to lose thousands. No matter what it's called, it's an attempt, albeit a feeble one, to control behavior. On a side note, how do you like what's happening with the banks now? Buying any precious metals?
Yes we also have a couple bonus’s one is dependent on a arrival time factor and we get customer service bonus also here and there lol Canadian banks are different than USA banks . USA many more banks I believe . In Canada we have 5 major banks / credit unions they are much stricter in lending … not to say they wont bail. And yes I have a little bit put away ;)
The reason I still work for motor clubs I don’t do towing I just do Roadside Assistance the reason I do that because you guys know how to get away from them you don’t tell us how I’m not gonna pay you a bunch of money down and get away from themthat’s no different than working from motor club, so I don’t understand why you just don’t tell us how to get away from them not an overview I mean an actual 25 Step Way to get away from them, and will all be very grateful and will continue to watch your videos
Well listen, I've got one screwing me right now, because I'm a Wheel lift truck. In my opinion. I'ma give it to ya straight. It's all bullsht. They want Haulers now too. Soon it will be Crane trucks like in U.K. So right now, You asked WHY We use them? = Because the PEOPLE are using them. It's simple. They're mindsets are sign me up!!! Discount towing.. Hell yeah. So what would you do, sit around and go broke? I opened my doors in 2017.. There was 1 company doing ROADSIDE here that I could see LEGALLY as a COMPANY not some fly by night, I have a jack jumper cables and and a slim jim. CHEAP! No insurance mess your stuff up sure, there everywhere.. Well, I was changing tires CHEAP. 8 clubs were calling me. Then one by one they stopped calling me. Luckily, I was saving what I could making steps to be bigger. President Trump seen us struggling and gave us a lot of money. That money with what I had saved bought me tow truck. With my experience in this kinda of work I should be sailing.. But sadly I am not. Because everyone eithe rhas it wrapped up or there's a club behind it. And so many others want it CHEAP!!!!!!!!! And can't get it. I had one call me and went with it. 10 months later I want to strangle them. Not calling me or only calling me for what I can't do. Leaving me sit at times for a week long. I am mad as hell. I gave a lady my card. She said oh nice. CAlls me a week later, I quoted her a price. She said okay let me call you back. The club that had been letting me sit calls and offers me her car to tow. for 20 bucks cheaper. YEAH TO HELL WITH ANY PROFIT TO MAKE RIGHT!!! = I told them to call someone else. And I pissed them off. GOOD DAMN DEAL TOO.. And google ole good with TDS = TRUMP DERRANGED SYNDROME = Removed my company for google using some BS excuse and refuse to to let me get it back on. Over youtube removing my comments. And I told them I'd sue them. SO between them all.. I AM READY FOR THAT WAR... IT'S TIME TO SERVE UP SOME JUSTICE. YEEEE HAAAAAW !!!! F THEM ALL
