We have allowed the concept of Trickle down economics to be abused by the Republicans time and time again! Today CEO series have reached exorbitant levels. The lowest paid Big 3 auto maker CEO makes 388 times the lower tier UAW worker. The highest paid CEO makes 600 times more then the highest teir UAW worker! The highest paid CEO makes $557,000 PER WEEK. Equal to 16 UAW lower tier employees yearly wages! So every week the CEO makes the equivalent of 16 lower tier UAW workers. It's 7.4 top tier UAW workers yearly wages PER WEEK! Their CEO's make more then all the employees combined working in many of their factories! By 2019 the USA has reached it's largest separation of wealth in around 100 years! Since 1997 the cost of living has increased by 100%. The cost of owning a vehicle by 250% And the cost of owning a home by 350%! Minimum wage has increased $2.10 Corporate profits have increased by 2 trillion dollars annually! Yet 60% of Americans still live paycheck to paycheck and 32% of Americans have zero net worth... Prior to the Bush and Trump eras the average CEO and top executives made 15-20 times their average employees wages! Today its between 300 and 500 times depending on the industry! Even in the Non profit health insurance industry the man who now holds my Grandfathers job(Sr VP 2nd behind the CEO and President) makes more in a single year than my grandfather made during his entire career! This is what you get when you Vote Republican!! The unfortunately fact is, it cost a tremendous amount of money to overcome the damage done to everyday Americans! Money the Republicans will do anything not to spend while at the same time allowing military contractors and other government contractors to make tens of millions to billions of dollars! People talk about the deep state! The deep state is the 2,668 citizens out of 8 billion who control 99% of the earths resources and have a combined of 12.7 trillion dollars.. Again to put that into perspective those 2,668 individuals could give every single American household $50,000 and still have an average of 2.3 billion in net worth. Or they could give every single citizen in all of Russia 100k and still be billionaires! That's the deep state and it's not the Democrats who are protecting the status quo (aka making the rich richer), it's the Republicans and other conservatives around the globe!

The commies aren't here to argue or philosophize, they're here to take everything you have and put you to work for them, either in the workforce or in the gulags. Also, equity is actual communism, so you have to be careful. It sounds good on the surface for a second maybe, but it's actual nonsense. The world is filled with people that really, really care about mountains of stuff I don't care about, and vice-versa: the world is filled with me caring the strange stuff I care about, and we need each other, because even though I don't care about x, y, and z, someone has to. I'm surrounded by important things I have no interest in. Why would I be good at working in any of those fields, or on any of those questions, that I don't care about? How would I ever gain skill in the area? Kids used to be famous for throwing baseball stats at you because they wanted those baseball cards and they wanted to read them. You get good -- genuinely, amazingly, miraculously, good -- at things you're interested in. And you might even have some actual genetic predisposition towards some area as well. We need that. We need all of that. And to "make those outcomes equal," we can only take away the good. Equal musicianship. Equal poetry. Equal engineering. @@user-fm6bw7rq4w Yeah...the dollar is the running cost, not the cost to replace. Plus I think someone else said it, but that savings is based on today's electricity prices. I'll take a wild stab in the dark and suggest that cost will probably rise in the ten years + you own said new fan. I think the gas stove savings was worse or even wrong. They didn't take in to account that "cooking with gas" means you can generally cook faster. An example being boiling water. It takes several minutes more for a pan to heat a set amount of water (can't remember if they used a gallon, pint, quart, etc.) using electricity than it does gas. So which time did they use in their estimates??

But my point remains, we're being punished for being smart consumers and wanting things that last and do the job they're supposed to do. New washers use less water, take longer, and do a crummy job. Dishwashers are just as bad too. They don't even make them with choppers anymore. Total crap. I can't buy what I want new.....it's not possible. They no longer produce products I want to buy. Looks like ceiling fans are next? Ah yes my super high voltage ceiling fan. 🙄🙄🙄 these crappy appliances just end up in landfills.
