Northern Thailand is stunning! We were there back in 2016 and thought it's already quite well discovered but nonetheless whoever hasn't been to the North of Thailand should definitely go 😍

There are many view points at that area, I recommend, you stay for 2-3 days to visit Phu Chi Fah, Phu Chi Dao, Phu Chi Duen and Pha Tung. There are tons of interesting places in northern Thailand that mostly known by locals. If you are still in Chiang Rai, please try to visit Doi Pha Mee, at a coffee shopt, you can see sleeping lady mountain (the head part) where the cape rescue took place. It is very beautiful scenery up there. South of Chiang Rai in Nan province is also very nice downtown and many national parks to stay overnight.

I did the Mae Hong Son motorcycle loop this year and I really enjoyed it way more than touristy Thailand in a way, much more authentic in my opinion, from the food to the people to the culture, even got to sneak into Myanmar at the town Ban Rak Thai!

You should try motorcycle along the Maekhong river in Chaing rai From Chaing SAEN(Northernmost) city to Chaing Khong city which is bordered with LAOS and its really epic too esp when raining season.

Thanks for the great video guys. And thank you for that valuable piece of information as i never knew the place even existed until now. And i have been looking for places like that to explore in that part of Northern Thailand. Although i take it this video was taken just prior to 14th Oct 2019? I didn't realize that it got that cold at this time of the year? If this is correct then i will definitely be packing a jacket in the suitcase as i plan to be be in Chiang Rai mid to late November myself for a few days. That looks like a place that is too good to miss to me. 😎

When you're in the mountains there's a crisp air no matter what time of year it is. Always safe to pack a long sleeve or light jacket when venturing out to these parts 😉

@@IntAffair Thanks once again for the info. I was in Northern Phetchabun area back in May this year visiting a friend of mine who lives in that part of Thailand. But back in May it was hot and humid at the time. And she said it gets a bit cool in the mountains sometimes where she lives. But she didn't tell me that it can get that way at any particular time of the year. I was able to find that spot where you shot the vid on google maps last night. That is quite a trek east of Chiang Rai. I am only going to be in that area for 2 days and hope i can find the time to drive there. If not there will be other times. It looks awesome.Thanks once again. 😎

Word in Thai Phu = mountian Chi = pointing Fah = sky So, Phu chi fah mean mountain that pointing to the sky (which you can see exactly) You go to Phu chi fah at the right time (around Oct - early Nov) because after that period it will crowd with thai tourists.

We've been several times outside of the Oct-Nov timeframe and it wasn't overpacked with tourist...guess it just really depends on the day 😃

Just did this hike and saw the view...epic and inspiring to start the new year 2021. I found out about it through this channel. Thank you guys. It was the woman presenter’s comment of “this is my favorite place on earth” that was the hook that got me to make my way to this place. Amazing, I have to report I had a nice stay at a low cost cliff side hotel that was basic but good and while I was sleeping I had the most lovely dreams. I woke up in such a beautiful state of happiness and eagerness. My interpretation of this is that I was blessed by the energy of the mountain. Even an entertaining spiritual metaphysical lecturer who’s no longer physically living whom I value and respect showed up in my flow of dreams, Stewart Wilde, (check him out on RU-vid), he’s not been in any of my dreams in the past so I see this has a special occurrence. I honestly feel blessed and infused with a greater confidence, passion, eagerness, understanding and acceptance of live. Which all together makes me love life even more. I guess you call it an awakening or enlightenment to a certain degree. This area gave me the perspective my soul needed in many ways. So thank you to the int affair presentors. You placed the bread crumbs for me to be lead to this place in my life. Thank you, thank you. To the happiness year of my life 2021. Wishing all of you the same!

We want to do Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, but we're looking to go is late March/early April and heard it's super hot during that time. Would it still be worth it with the heat or would you recommend making a trip during a different time of the year to the north?

800 meter climb is 2600 feet. That's about like climbing the stairs on a 200 storey tall building. No trivial walk!

Drone laws are a touchy subject. They are constantly changing. As we’re not officials and probably not the best to give legal advice on drone piloting, our recommendation is to check online before your trip to see if there are any new laws or requirements for flying. I can tell you that we've never had an issue, anywhere we've been, with airport security trying to confiscate our drone. Hope this helps! Safe travels!

Video like this is ruining special places right this 😞 This is mostly a local spot and doesn’t appear on the tourist info for a reason. It is special for the locals. Way to blow it up 😞
