Great Video, Early on i started going down the business route and found out it was not for me, at least in the traditional sense. I do take on the odd commission when its the right fit. For me i much prefer buying / fixing / selling used tools and selling services like resawing large boards, or jointing / planning them for woodworkers that need to use my equipment.
Yeah, and that’s totally a perfect WHAT! I should have spent more time i the video talking more about service based woodworking business like sawyers, classes, tool usage etc.
Nice tips Kris, I’ve diversified my saleable items to being very simple builds that are purposeful & can be made at the most minimal cost. I agree there’s a market to charge a bit more if you can break into it. Most woodworkers kid themselves about the value of what they make as compared to pricing. Cheers from Australia
