I think it's a much more simple explanation, government bureaucrats in general feel that they are above their fellow citizens, that they are smarter, and that they're better decision makers. They just don't concern themselves with the opinions of the masses.
This guy likely has not been challenged on anything for the last 15 years. Now he is being challenged by people who he has to respect and can't discipline or fire for doing it.
They are very careful to avoid liability … like not opening a case file, or having a feedback from an agent … so they can say “I’ve given you everything I know”

The senate doesn't have prosecutorial powers. They are in the legislative branch. That's why so many of these hearings always amount to just theater and nothing more. They are definitely needful in the sense that they could be used to enlighten voters who are paying attention but if you're a voter that's paying attention you're already a conservative anyway and none of this stuff comes as a shock to you.

This is a huge point. Why no press conference which ls just bizarre. This is FU to the public. The more this goes on the more it sounds like a cover up.
I am at a loss for words on how everyone is acting. He says "You need a press conference?" We need to know what happened and Congress to correct thinhs, not that.
There is no reason why they shouldn't have already been doing press conferences. The fact is there are avoiding, even evading inquiry at any level. A bad sign.
If the truth comes out, it will come either through whistleblowers or amateur researchers. From a video shot by someone or from a body cam or security camera of a nearby property
The congressmen ask their questions from the wrong end. Each team or whatever they call themselves in the Secret Service has someone with a name in charge of each team or detail. They have written instructions on how to handle their duty area. Supervisors approve or disapprove the completion of the instructions, approve any plan that is being considered. They SIGN OFF on the approval. The site prep team, the on-site plain clothes team, the president exit detail. The oversight team. They all have members of each team and someone appointed as leader. These are the people and documents congress needs to investigate not upper management who are in process of justifying what happened. Those on the ground have the answers.
Press conferences are needed in a situation like this. But commitment to monthly press conferences? It’s called the secret service for a reason. I am fairly certain there is a lot more incompetence in the senate than in these military orgs. It’s the endless bureaucracy that stunts personnel. If you hire exceptional staff that are correctly assigned then the use of common sense in a quickly moving situation is favourable. When you hire and assign sloppily - mistakes are made and bureaucratic is put into place.
Why don't we have the body cam footage? You know, the body cam footage that every single damn officer on duty was wearing, the body cam that every single Secret Service agent wears every phuckking time they do anything security related that records both video AND the audio???? Even if they somehow decided to break a tradition that they have maintained since the advent of recording devices and 2 way portable radios they SHOULD STILL HAVE THE SBODY CAM FOOTAGE!!

When Reagan got shot, the Secret Service and FBI immediately that day began twice a day press conferences for weeks to help allay the fears of the public. All we have now is obfuscation, non answers and silence. The FBI and the Secret Service didn’t think he’d miss such a slam dunk shot and now they’re desperately scrambling for cover.
We then move next to asking them to explain why every freaking audio expert and analyst in thw country is saying that the first 3 shots are from a different gun in a different location than the following 5 shots??? Explain how the officers found only 5 casings at Crooks location at first, then magically this turns to 8 cartridges later, explaining that there were three casings found later on the other side of the roofs peak, on the opposite side from Crooks... This is extremely unlikely, as they contend that all 8 shots were fired in the same direction towards Trump. With Crooks laying down on the far side of the roof, and with EVERY AR-15 rifle and carbine like Crooks' weapon chambered in .223/5.56 KNOW TO MAN DESIGNED TO EJECT the spent cartridges rearward to the right of the operator, it boggles the mind trying to figure out how those casings could have fallen IN FRONT OF HIM.....he would have had to spin to his left and shoot at the freaking water tower to get them to land there, which he damn sure did not do. MAYBE, after he took a brain shot from a .300 win mag, he policed up the cartridges and tossed them over there using the 2 inch diameter chunk of brain floating around in his exploded skull to do this.....I'm sure that it is just a HUGE coincidence that the 3 magic casings found later in an impossible location happen to match the number of shots experts say are from a different gun. And it's another coincidence that they did not find them till later on, when you cam clearly hear the body cam officers say there were 5 casings from Crooks....
I know not everyone is trained in how to ask questions, but this is a object lesson in how NOT to question a witness. It's so pathetic, it boggles the mind that this is real. JUST ASK A QUESTION!!

He evades questions, ducks, filibusters, blocks, is aggressive when uncalled for, (as if he is hiding something) he thinks if he says 'its our fault' that means he gets to hide everything that happened, which was a coordinated hit job. A mistake happens to everybody, 20 mistakes in a row do not happen to anybody, that's not a coincidence. It was a coordinated hit job this is why nobody was fired, cause they did as they were told, this is why he tells us NOTHING because he doesn't want anybody to know who should be questioned. To hide a crime you hide the identity of everyone who coordinated it, hide, hide, hide. That's exactly what this crook does. This was done on purpose with the Secret Service working with the FBI and Homeland Security and the biden administration coordinating and working together to kill the ex-president.
