She’s got a point, in terms of story not only was sharpay a character of her past, but she’s also the only one that got a movie of her own, so there’s really no point in revisiting the character anymore
Lucas said the same thing about Ryan Evans, yes he made a cameo in the movie but he was playing himself not ryan. High school musical is perfect on its own and i love the series but ET should not going around like this and make misleading headlines saying that Lucas and Ashley hates Sharpay and Ryan when really its the other way round. They love their characters they just dont see the point of revisiting those characters anymore.
@@Alexeygirlfight I know there were talks of having Miss Darbus and her on the original HSM spin-off Madison high, but the actor who plays Coach Bolton has said the creators/crew of the franchise now are so far removed from their contact that it’s unlikely they’ll make an appearance. Not impossible but the owners are doing their own creative work now that their wouldn’t really be room to fit them in
Sharpay was right about everything in HSM. Troy and Gabriela almost ruined the play, the summer etc. Sharpay was just trying to keep everything running smoothly. I realized I was old when I recognized her as the hero. Lol
How did Troy and Gabriella almost ruin the play? They were just auditioning, the play is never really shown in the first movie. Ryan and Sharpay sabotage them at the end of the movie because they feared them, they knew Troy and Gabriella were talented so they convinced Miss Darbus to reschedule the audition at the same time as the basketball game and the scholastic declathon so Troy and Gabriella couldn't make it. Sharpay just wanted to continue being the protagonist of the play, she was kinda selfish tbh 😕
I don't hate her tho, she's a great character and HSM wouldn't have been the same without her, but c'mon she's not the hero, nobody is, it's a teen drama after all :p
Stop saying things as stupid as this just because it's a trend now. Sharpay didn't let any other kid audition because she wanted to be the only star so she manipulated the timing of the audition and the other activities so no one else would participate. How is that saving the play?? And How are Troy and Gabriella ruining the play??? Makes no sense. Sure their friends were also villains for not wanting them together, but Sharpay also didn't allow them or any other to participate and steal her spot that it's clearly a parody to musicals because her plays with Ryan are an exaggeration while Troy and Gabriella show that what matter it's the essence. Then In HSM2 what she Sharpay wants is Troy, and she gave him a bunch of things to buy him, Still manipulating! It wasn't because she had a good heart, she was buying him. And then in HSM 3 she is all happy because Gabriella will be out of the picture for the musical, so she will get to sing with Troy. and she wanted the scholarship for Julliard and the bitch had literally a solo presentation that she gave to her understudy because of her obsession with Troy and Gabriella, she ruined bothpresentations shebwas then fighting for her place with the blonde her that was singing for her, she was stupid af and an annoying brat. We all love her, but she was the adorable villain. Saying she was the real hero or the real victim of HSM is the stupidest thing that I've seen in internet this last year's.

Also, this generation is all about “do what makes you happy” or “it’s okay to try new things.” But then they hate on Gabriella and Troy for wanting to be part of a play for trying something new 🤷🏻♂️.
If Ashley ever approved to go back to the character I wouldn’t want to see Sharpay being a Mom because that just so predictable just like these reboots~ Fuller House, Ravens Home, Girl Meets World you know 🙄 So Over that! I would rather see Sharpay as an Independent Professional who skyrocketed with her Broadway Career 👑and possibly even made it in the Fashion Industry and runs her own Clothing Brand called Fabulous 💕

I really hope she continues making music as an independent artist, Symptoms was amazing. And from back in the day, musically she really was the most successful, her debut album landed at #5 on the Billboard 200, Vanessa and Corbin never came close to that with their own solo records.

YO, I discovered Crank It Up a few months ago and it is a JAM, so funky and hypnotic with Britney Blackout vibes. U may be wondering y I only discovered that song recently, well it's because back then I actively ignored Ashley's music and didn't care to check it out. I regret that now obviously cause she's hella confident and a much better performer than Vanessa Hudgens
I am not surprised that her wardrobe stylist was the same one who styled her on Suite Life, these ppl at Disney don't do well in the fashion department, except with Raven of course, I swear Raven was the ONLY Disney girl who slayed fashion wise
well, she really had to, she was always involved with fashion as her character. I feel like that's something maddie would have worn to be fabulous but kinda failing. And the outfit Brenda had was kind of something London would have worn, even though I think it's too simple for a red carpet. But also raven was the title character and shared her name. If raven Baxter doesn't look good, neither will raven Symone, cause the names to match up. That outfit looms good for Maddie, but for Ashley it's bad. If that makes sense, it's like when Hillary duff said people used to just call her lizzie or Hillary and she would respond to both. She was kinda dressed bad too, for Lizzie it was good but for Hillary it was bad.

3:58 "What if" was my top favorite song by Ashley. I get sometimes when writing a song (co-writing or not) you aren't sure if you did well with it. But I personally think she did awesome with it!

Sharpay was the villain who used her brother, bullied the composer and sabotaged any competition because she was used to everything being handed to her as a rich white girl. all gabriella wanted was to be with HER man and sing.
Yall just be trying to sound all deep and stuff by saying Sharpay was really the hero of the story. Some of Sharpay's actions made sense given the circumstances but the way she went about it wasn't "hero" like at all. One thing I will say is I don't like how in the 2nd movie they tried to make Troy the villain. His friends should've been supportive of him instead of getting mad when he wanted to do things that would further his career.

I'm so proud to say I was a HUGE Ashley Tisdale fan when I was growing up, and now that I'm an adult I completely understand what she says. She was always so humble and grounded and true to herself that seeing her was such a good example, now that I think about it. She kept her private life private, never went scandalous, never got all crazed up by fame, and that helped me stay true to myself as well. I'm so happy for her.

My favorite character Ashley ever played was Maddie from the Suite life. HSM was just ok at the most. Nothing special or near to my heart. But I'll admit that Ashley really rocked that character and had lots of fun playing her back then.
At least she’s very kind in her explanation. She doesn’t hate the role like Zac Efron does with his role. Oh I won’t show up and sing with the rest of the cast. I don’t care if his ex was there or not. I had to work with exes and still did my job.
I honestly respect the position of not wanting to revisit a character in the past for worry of ruining it for people. Cause if there was a new storyline for Sharpay, it really is a slippery slope because it could change how we feel about the character and the nostalgia that comes with it. But there is a curiosity in me that thinks, what would a new storyline look like of Sharpay and mom look like.
I ALWAYS LOVE Ashley being a SINGER, no matter from those 1st album bop to 3rd album relating to mental illnesses bop, they are still fucking so good. Not gonna lie, I like finally started listening #Symptoms in last month, and it is definitely her most complete body-of-work in terms of theme and lyrics. This is so much growth from the 1st to 2nd album.
