I'd say Ayanokoji has better control of his emotion and is able to read and account for other people better as shown by how Light got his cheeks spread open by knock off L because of one small mistake in blindly trusting the other dude. I'd also say that Ayanokoji is smarter and better at studying but if they were to work in fields where they have to think for themselves and do stuff on their own Light would do better.

Raye was the ONLY agent who was being held hostage by Kira and L deduced that. There’s also the fact that if Raye told L that he was the ONLY agent that came into direct contact with a suspect then got held hostage by Kira ON CAMERA that should have been awfully suspicious on Light. He also quite literally yelled out his name which should have been caught by any camera on and off the train if they have sound capture too. Naomi and Light were SEEN by a receptionist that Naomi herself came into contact with to contact L and seen on camera (which Light tells us was in the station) and any person who was seen within the last moments of a person before disappearing is brought in for questioning. L also says “she is too strong willed for that” and we’ve seen his influence and profiling abilities, so it would hold up in court. Naomi was also the only person able to deduce that Kira was on the bus and looked at Raye’s ID, and even Light acknowledges he’s cooked if anyone else gets this information that is easily accessible to the L/police if the agents reported their movement like they should have, since it wasn’t hard for Naomi to do it plus buses have CAMERAS IN THEM. With Light being evidently in contact with two people that he should not be anywhere near (Raye and Naomi) right before their death/disappearance, fitting the profile perfectly and already being a 95% suspect in L’s eyes, even without a murder weapon, he can go to jail for their death/disappearances alone. If they arrest him while he’s unaware he can’t write deaths ahead of time or his “I’m not Kira he’s Kira” plan. Even if Misa comes into play later, she got caught easily with evidence, which doesn’t fit Kira’s profile at all since he’s evidently not that stupid. So they’re both cooked, Kira 1 and 2 get captured, 1 dies by Ryuk and the DN goes to find a new owner.

There totally is because for some reason everyone ignores the fact that the Death Note's pages were being sent to Takada before she died. Mikami had only one week's worth of names written in the notebook left over, and Near had two of his agents copy them down for 12 hours straight. The anime kinda screwed up the whole thing by leaving these details out.

@@soundxzz it's totally possible. It's 14 pages across 12 hours. In the manga, Near very specifically says that both Rester and Gevanni were working on the notebook, and Gevanni is an expert forger. Mikami isn't exactly an expert analyst. It's maybe 14 pages, split between two professionals, over 12 straight hours, fooling a man who isn't exactly the smartest (Mikami doesn't even bother testing the notebook after consciously risking leading the SPK straight to it). It's totally possible and I'm damn sad that the anime made a mess of an otherwise brilliant ending.

Ayanokoji could easily manipulate that flaw, as his main way of manipulation is indirect and he only makes the plans and connects them all in the end. I doubt light would find out that ayanokoji was the one behind the schemes as we can see that he can basically hide himself as your average high school student if he wanted to.

@Steve_87 Well no. Theirs a few things your not keeping note when comparing L’s psycho analysis and Koji’s psycho analysis First. Koji knows that the whiteroom is one of the first years. That already limits down the people who it is. Unlike L who had to reach down the entire world and psycho analyze someone based on basic details of murders (the people who were murdered and so on) it’s worth noting as well that L finished his psycho analysis before he did the L. Lind Taylor trap. That’s how he knew how to exploit lights weak point in this scenario. L psycho analyzed someone he didn’t no existed. Koji was able to see Yagami and the other students in action as well. Although it’s entirely possible he created a profile for all the students just in case. Unlike L and light which was totally unknown whether he even existed or not. Theirs also a false dilemma about a “psycho analysis” Koji states himself that he never analyzed Yagami or Tsubaki basically debunking the whole notion that he did “psycho analyze” Yagami.

Let me explain why your interpretation of Ayanokouji's feats here are incorrect. For the fingernail feat, yes it is abductive reasoning but that is still a key component of Logical Reasoning and as such I don't see how that's relevant. Solving the S-System on the first day is extremely impressive and I have no idea how you think otherwise. Ayanokouji connected multiple abstract and disconnected observations to draw inductive conclusions about how the school system would function. As for Suzune figuring it out too, she clearly didn't. If you read the LN scene you see that it's Ayanokouji dropping subtle hints about the free section to see if Horikita finds it strange. When she didn't see beyond the surface level of it Ayanokouji dropped the subject. While he had connected his observations about the S-System and induced the system, Horikita had not. The zodiac reasoning is also very impressive and claiming the contrary is just an attempt to downplay Ayanokouji's Logical reasoning here. To your point, nobody "knew" that a pattern existed, so Light inducing a pattern without knowing one existed doesn't make Yotsuba a better feat here. In fact, Light had FAR more information to work with to make his induction vs Ayanokouji. Light had access to large amounts of police and task force data which he used to draw his conclusions, while Ayanokouji only had the rules of the exam to perform his reasoning with. Also, the pattern for the VIPs is more complex than the anime would lead you to believe, since the alphabetical order of names can't be based on Japanese Kanji, since it doesn't have a standard alphabetical order like English. That means names would need to be translated to Hiragana or Katakana since not everyone in the grade's name can be written in Hiragana since there are multiple students with non-Japanese names (Albert and Mei Yu Wang). Instead they would need their names written in Katakana which has characters for foreign words/names. All this to say that insinuating that the pattern was simply alphabetical is nonsense compared to the actual depth needed to solve it. As for it being obvious, that is also not the case. While Ryuuen was forward about looking for a pattern, it is in his character to make bold claims like that to bait someone into making a deal with him. Furthermore, even he had no definite proof a pattern existed. Again you are criticizing Logical Reasoning feats as invalid if you don't believe they classify as "deductive reasoning" and this is not how you scale LR. However, in this case it is actually deductive reasoning since you are wrong about this being based off intuition. Observations can serve as objective premises in deductive reasoning and Ayanokouji used the outcomes of each of the 12 groups, and the total CP and PP changes for each class to determine that Class C, despite having solved the pattern, had intentionally guessed a Class B VIP wrong. Also, the VIP that Kouenji had correctly guessed was from Class B. Those were among the specific observations used for his deductive reasoning, and it was not intuition as you claimed. As for the knife feat, if you aren't able to understand something your first instinct doesn't need to be to just downplay it. Your own explanation of the premises certainly don't even lead to the conclusion that Housen planned to stab himself. I can lay out some of the key premises from the knife deduction which based on your explanation, you clearly don't understand. 1. Housen was holding the knife to swing downward, as opposed to pointing it toward Ayanokouji. He was also holding the knife in a reverse grip. 2. Housen was holding the knife at an unnatural height compared to just trying to threaten Ayanokouji with it. 3. Housen had implemented this in a secluded place without cameras, and had provoked the fight which led to him brandishing the knife. 4. From his earlier investigation via Kei, Ayanokouji knows that he's the only one to have bought this knife. 5. Also from his investigation, Ayanokouji had learned that other people had tried to buy a similar knife (Housen and Nanase). 6. He also learned that when Housen had tried to buy the knife he was stopped by a girl (Amasawa). 7. Ayanokouji bought the knife at the direction of Amasawa, and she didn't hesitate when selecting it for him to buy which suggested she had scoped it out in advance. 8. Ichika had returned to his room the the night before and was looking around in his kitchen. 9. The knife Housen is holding was the kitchen knife Ayanokouji bought the other day. 10. Since the knife belongs to Ayanokouji his fingerprints will be on it. 11. Since Housen is using Ayanokouji's knife he wanted something specific from it that an ordinary knife wouldn't provide. C: Housen had engineered a situation where he would use the same knife as one Ayanokouji recently purchased in a secluded area. Not only was this premeditated but he was using the Knife in an unusual way. Given that this was Ayanokouji's Knife, Housen wanted Ayanokouji's fingerprints to implicate him. The downward grip on the Knife suggests Housen would stab himself, and combined with Ayanokouji's fingerprints would lead to him being blamed for the crime. He was also able to determine Ichika's involvement from this. As you can see your "explanation" of the Knife deduction was lackluster and incomplete. Light's reasoning with the pencil lead is not impressive deduction since it was based on a trap he set. Since the lead was replaced but the door handle wasn't he concluded that someone had entered his room, however the purpose of those 2 things were to warn him if that happened. Therefore making the deduction that someone entered his room isn't impressive on top of that. The Takuya profiling is incredibly impressive and again you are just downplaying. Your claim that Takuya would be harder to psychoanalyze than Light is baseless since you provided no proof of such a claim. Furthermore, Ayanokouji's profiling here isn't really comparable to profiling Light, the better comp is L profiling Kira since in both cases they didn't know the identity of the person they were profiling. His ability to profile Takuya came from his knowledge of the WR and the behind the scenes actions Ayanokouji uncovered. Light's ego could certainly come into play for a confrontation between these two, and Avent is correct in his assertion that Ayanokouji shouldn't have much issue analyzing Light and his ego. L was able to determine Kira's ego and God complex very early on as Kira's actions betrayed as such. As for Ayanokouji's own ability to psychoanalyze people, he has even better feats than L. His instant analysis of Kushida in Y1V1, Ryuuen in V3, Kei in V4, his analysis of people like Ichinose Hirata, and Takuya all showcase his ability to quickly and accurately take your actions and use that information to create a psychological profile. His ability to do this with very little information is very impressive and doing so with Takuya without knowing his identity or interacting with him is even more impressive. Light clearly wasn't underrated in this video, but you are certainly underrating Ayanokouji.
