I love this idea. I really like versatility when it comes to water quality for bettas. There's so many little things that can make your betta happier. Thank you so much for the upload!!! I'm definitely gonna try this out!! ❤ 😎 🐟
Yups, Thank you so much RebelCowgirl01 for visit my video, I am really happy to meet you here. Greetings from Indonesia and Happy betta care. GBU :) Thanks for support ❤
Hello, this is very interesting. So the steps to follow are: soak the leaves, then dry the leaves. Then you add salt to the water you will put the leaves in... Then you add the leaves and leave them until the water change color to kinda brown. finally you pour the water with the leaves extract in to the tank. Right?
Hi brother another good topic I do exactly that method for my betta's. I use banana leaves and a little aquarium water to make infusoria also . Good for betta fry first foods . God bless 🔥🙏🔥
Yeah nice, what you do is very good idea for make infusoria, Thank you so much RunEmHard 728 for visit and leave comment. Happy meet you here :) 🙏🔥 Greetings from Indonesia. GBU
Hey Bro It's 100% effective that Banana leaves gives immunity to the fry. I took an experimentation 1 week fry not using of banana leaves lot of fry dies but when i transfer my 1 week fry to growout tank that has been stocked for 5 days with banana leaf and cattapa leaf no fry had died when i transfered it!>. Godbless you Bro!
Wow nice bro, Great Job. I am happy to read the news about the condition of your Betta fry. Congratulation for new generation of bettas. and I hope your betta fry can survive and growing fast. Happy breeding betta Michael Lorenz Balais. God Bless you
Hi bro, I have seen that you often use salt .. exactly when do you use it? daily changes of water or in other cases, how many grams per liter and do you also use for small newborn bettas? thank you ... you are always number 1
Hii bro vittorio invernizzi, Yes I use salt for daily changes of water.. usually 3 - 5 grams salt per liter. and for treatment 150-200 gram salt per 250ml (only 10-30 seconds) Thank you vittorio invernizzi.. Happy betta keeping
Hello again sir. You are super i tried what you recommended with banana leaf it was amazing with cattapa leaf. The water condition is so much better now my bettas are getting better. I have fry that i dont think they dont have a chance they are also getting better now big big help sir.
Great.., I am very grateful if what I said works well, Thank you so much Leonardo Jupard Cerna Jr for practicing it on Betta fish. Greetings from Indonesia and GBU
Great video as usual. Quick question, would you add tuna leaves (of the right kind) to the water with banana and catappa leaves mixture? Adding salt directly to the brown water container is not a good idea?
Helo Mauricio Parra thank you so much for the appreciation. Happy to meet you today, and about your question.. I've never added tuna leaves, maybe I need some research to do this.. and the addition of salt directly or indirectly are both good ideas, because the purpose of adding salt is to avoid fungal infection.. Thank you Mauricio Parra, happy betta keeping 🙂. GBU
I just siphon water. When betta fry was 3 weeks old, I started to siphon the water and add water to the betta fry container. I do that once a week.Thank you Caesar Louise. GBU
No brother, I don't give filters, I just give catappa leaves and banana leaves.. Thank you so much Ryan ward for your support and visit me today 😇☕️☕️ Happy weekend bro. GBU
Thank you Bro Betta Indonesia for sharing your knowledge. I also used dried banana leaves for my betta tank. But I do not cut the leaves into small pieces as you had shown but included the banana stock (batang). Is this method recommended and any negative effect on the water. Tks
Banana leaf stems (batang) are great for betta fish, and do not have a negative effect on water. I cut the dried banana leaves to make it look neat. Thank you chua kc for visit and leave a comment. Happy betta care. Greetings from Indonesia
What do you think if we try to use the same method on Guppys and Mollies? Any experience or maybe do you know someone who use those leaves for other live bearers. I watched all your videos btw and thank you for always sharing your knowledge about bettas
In my opinion, Yes. This method can also be applied to Guppy and Mollies fish. Some of my friends use banana leaves and catappa for guppies, and the results are quite good. Thank you MANONG for watching and comment here :) GBU, greetings from Indonesia

Such a great method for a beginner just like me..😊🙏 I did just saw some other YT cook boiled the catapa leaf to extract the paste..how if I we cook boiled both catapa & banana leaf together...it’s that okey or is it harming our fish?
Great video! I have a barrel where I keep my Betta fish water, treated with salt and IAL leaves, I have used an air pump in the water barrel to oxygenate the water, do you think it is correct to use an air pump? Thanks!
Your method is absolutely correct, that way you will produce good water quality for your betta fish and air pump will supply oxygen content to the water. Happy betta care AW Smith. Thank you... GBU
Yes nice brother, it is good for betta and culture infusoria. Happy breeding and greetings from Indonesia. :D Thank you Sharons Peter, nice to meet you here
Here in the philippines were using turmeric, specially when rainy season we used it alternative water heater. Did you apply this method in your technique in betta keeping?
I've never used that method, but I will look for information and experiment using turmeric. This is a new idea for me and I want to try it. Thank you so much Ageom Vertudes for new idea. Greetings from Indonesia for Philippines. GBU. Happy to see you here :)

Hi bro Your videos are soo cool and informative Keep going mate Got a doubt hope you can clear it Which is better to use catapa leaves directly to plastic jar or using the prepared extract of the leafs? When i use the leaves in my fries container water getting soo dirty very fast Mucus kinda formation is happening so fast from catapa leaves Can you assist with the solution Thanks Greetings from India🥰🤗
Yups thank you so much Arjun lfc for appreciation and visiting me here. Happy to meet you here. Yes catappa leaves can be put directly into plastic jars, but for effectiveness I prefer to process the catappa leaves into one container, thus I can do the filter process. Yes at first it was normal, after a few days the smell will disappear and return to normal.. Therefore you should choose banana leaves that are completely dry. You also have to do filtration to remove the appearance of mucus on banana leaves. Thank you. Greetings from Indonesia. Happy betta care
@@kanumputra2488 thank you so much for the valuable info. I use to age water in a big containwr with catapa leaves. I'm gonna start filtering that water Movement of water will remove mucus right ? Great cheers N bro is it ok to give moina to adult bettas twice a day Can u tell me in what quantity Do we need to reduce the time of feed at rainy season?
Hii Clara Taniya About white betta, You don't need to use any leaves. You just use good quality water for your betta. If necessary you can give api melafix to your betta tank, to keep your fish healthy. Thank you Clara Taniya. Happy betta care
Hi how are you brother I have a queation... Can I feed my betta with a fresh shrimp cut into a tiny pieces? because it also high in protein If not? Can u give some alternative food for them because I only feed them with TUBIFEX,moina, and mosquito larvae.those food I mention to you are not always available in my place can u help me with my problem? Thank u and Good bless, more power and be safe.
Hi Joseph Cristobal. I am good, how about you. Yes you can give it, but make sure no leftover feed, High protein feed is great, but leftover high protein feed is very dangerous if not cleaned from tank. My suggestion, you can blender the shrimp and mix it with jelly. then give it to the betta (emergency choice if your fish is above 100 fish ). If your betta is not more than 10 fish you can give high protein pellets (Protein> 60%). For example : pelet monster. You can search on google. Thank you
@@kanumputra2488 great I have Fri 5 weeks old fry and they are more than a hundred in a tank. I glhave one more question.... Is it ok to mix fry together with other kind of betta like bi color(hmpk),double tail plakat and galaxy koi?together but they hatched together same date.thank u for your time to answer my questions and thank you for your kindness
Yes its Okay Joseph Cristobal to mix betta fry together with several types of betta fish and make sure to use a very large space for them. This is a good way to do it, although it also has a drawback which is that it becomes difficult to detect bloodlines. Thank you Happy breeding betta Joseph Cristobal
Great video, what are your feelings about using either one of these leaves, with a Betta fish that was just purchased. Kind of like putting the fish in quarantine? Thank you from NYC, most important be safe
Thank you so much Frank Basanta for visit and appreciation. Yes its good brother, after purchased betta you should be given catappa leaves or dried banana leaves. Given to quarantined fish is also good. Especially for all freshwater ornamental fish. Thank you Frank Basanta, have nice day in NYC. GBU. Stay safe
Great video!!! plan to harvest some banana leaves soon. make video about the seeseid herb, there is a leading product that has this ingredient in their katapa powder mix. maybe you could talk about that in next video!!!
Yeah nice, it is an interesting topic to discuss. Catappa powder mix is a modern way. In developed countries, it's already been used. Thank you so much Angelo Camposagrado for nice idea. Greetings from Indonesia and happy betta care :) GBU
Thank you so much brother for your appreciation and visit me, Greetings from Indonesia :) Currently there is no transhiper that can send to India. Thank you
Good day and good mood! I don't miss any of Your videos, but unfortunately I don't understand everything because I only speak Russian. The baby Bettas is too small and the first food can only serve rotifer or infusoria. You're talking about putting banana leaves in the spawning area. For what? what would create an infuser environment? Can I use a dry banana peel for the same purpose?
Hello Andrey Neptun Good day and good mood! Thank you so much.. Banana leaves can trigger the growth of infusoria in the spawning area. I've never actually used banana peels before. but in my opinion if the banana peel is really dry then it can be used, because decay of organic matter in breeding container can trigger the appearance of infusoria. Thank you Andrey Neptun, Happy breeding betta
Спасибо. И еще хотел поделиться опытом. Помните я спрашивал - можно ли использовать гриндаля для выкармливания молоди? Ни в коем случае нельзя! Это мой печальный опыт.
Thanks. I also wanted to share my experience. Remember when I asked if you could use grindal to feed the young? In any case, you can not! This is my sad experience.
Can the banana and catapa leaves be used together at the same time? Is there a possibility that we used too much that it becomes bad or not optimum for the betta? Lastly, how much aquarium salt do you use and do you replace or add more salt when you water change?
Yes you can use it together, but specifically do not overuse catappa leaves. If the extract of catappa too thick then it's not good for betta fin, while the use of banana leaves is not a problem even though it is excessive, the most important thing make sure its really dry. Thank you Sham Maideen
Yes Rain water is very very good for betta, but you must filtering first about 24 hours or more.. Thank you James Labayos for nice question. Happy betta care
What if i boil the leaves? I've been boiling the leaves of the indain almond leaf when i use it on my betta. And btw im having a black orchid coming this week and im very excited. I would like to ask about the tank size for long fin betta and short fim betta
Yes, boiling indian almond leaves is the fastest way to extract tannins. Congratulations on the arrival of your black orchid. I'm happy too. There are actually several options, 15cmx15cmx20cm and 30cmx20cmx25cm (giant). Thank you Daze ML Gaming
Can you do a grooming guide next week? From juvy to show. I wanted to know how to properly groom a betta fish because the seller gave me some frebies. He gave me a juvenile betta he didn't said what strain it is. He said it's a surprise. He handpicked it himself and he said it has show quality potential. I wanted to know how you groom your betta from proper way of flaring time, and food(how often do you feed)and olafter he's an adult...how to maintain an adult betta. Thank you for your videos i really learned a lot.
