The Aurata is actually based off the Canam Mavrick x3 due to the rear end suspension arms, body work, 3 cylinder engine, etc. Not the Polaris RZR (razor)
I just hope the community doesn't set a super high bar for the devs, the amount of content they give us is insane, especially when they could have easily sold new cars from updates as DLCs.
@@rohlikusucetdva1370 bros just got a different skill set ig. I was too cheap to buy my own wheel, so i built one out of knex and had it control the mouse to run the steering that way. But it was annoying, so i eventually bought a G29 instead. Much better!
@@bobertart4342 The game really needs a big improvement regarding the game-engine. In other games you can drive with 20 or 25 others cars with no prblems at all. And with this game when i go pass 10 traffic cars while the CPU is not even maxed out (also not the gpu), than i have a considerdate drop in frames per second.
Honestly i loved 0.28 i remember i was messing around with the different etk's for a long time and it was just a lot of fun, 0.29 was honestly disappointing since there was nothing that interested me it was only off-roading which i don't care about, this update is definitely better since there are actually things i care about, such as west coast expansion, new tire sounds, new missions and more realistic transmission (i guess also expanded career mode although i think i'll wait until that's fully finished. I honestly don't care about the new cars since it's another off-roader (which i'm tired of), i don't care about utilites since i mostly race in beamng and i don't care about vr since i don't have a vr headset
Yes i agree all the last cars were offroaders which is really boring. But i still apreciate the devs work and enjoy the game. There are also many good modded cars.
Radiator fan sound has been in the game for quite sometime now, it isn't new on 0.30. You can only hear it on a normal car when the engine gets a bit hotter than usual, so the fan turns on to try to cool it down even more.
The gear shifting logic came just at the perfect time for me. About a couple of weeks before it came out I turned off clutch assist and started practicing shifting with clutch, even opted for cars with H patternt instead of DCT, etc and then this update came out, allowing me to replicate the experience I had when using the logitech gearbox addon. I wasn't able to use the gear shifter, because it developed a fault where 1st gear gets confused with 3rd. I'm gonna have to figure that one out soon, but with the update I can replicate a more realistic behaviour with the paddles.
personally, i think this update is slightly disappointing for me. the new spearleaf island expansion feels... unfinished. there's no grass like on the rest of the map and i feel like it slightly ruined performance of the game (atleast for me). the aurata also feels not fully fleshed out. the configs are pretty underwhelming. i do like the new shifting logic, as you can finally feel the consequences of bad shifting. other than that, great video!
@@bussin_busesI don't think it is out of boundaries anymore. Watch the navigation screen closely and you'll see that the "out of boundaries" areas are marked with large squares, like those of the geometry sheets. Well, the Island isn't out of boundaries anymore because the topography of that part of the map is shown like it should!
i feel like an italy remaster would only be logical if they were to remaster another map, unless they throw us a curveball and remaster cliff map or smallgrid
They improved car sounds like screeching sounds and nobody is still talking about the small construction site next to the studio and neighborhood on west coast usa it has been updating slowly and no one is noticing?!
Something about the new Vulkan patch broke the render mode under Linux/Proton for me. I was able to play it in Vulkan mode earlier, but now when I load in I get brief severe flickering, before it crashes literally my entire X-session back to login, and then I can't launch the game again until I reboot. That said I LOVE the new Aurata, and while I haven't tried out Sprigleaf or Career, I do enjoy where they've been taking the game. Playing around with more vehicles also prompted me to get out the Landsdale and find that I actually like it, as well as remembering how much freaking fun the Cherrier Vivace is at the limit (that thing gets SO sideways), and discovering a new favorite vehicle in the form of a custom offroad Gavril Roamer build based on the "Adventure" config with a diesel swap. It doesn't get quite as sideways as the LTX variants, but it's still a pleasure to drive both on and off the pavement. While we're talking about remasters, some of the older cars are also due for them. The 200BX needs, at least, a refresh like the ETK got. The OG textures are looking a little barren by today's standards. The Hopper is also an old design, but other than refreshing a few of the textures (like the headlights), it's held up well. It's MEANT to be a bare-bones car. The poor Hirochi Sunburst however needs a complete remaster. The body design is kinda misshapen and weird, the interior textures have not aged gracefully, and it could stand to have some of the interior features fixed up. On that note I'd like to see a similar "tweak everything" update to get the interior dashboards of the various cars all fixed up. I almost always drive in interior view, and some dashboard designs make this difficult. Whether it's Gavril's "form over function" where the dash is completely unreadable in some lighting conditions unless you turn your headlights on, the Bruckell LeGran sport dashboard that doesn't indicate an overheat even while my engine is actively self-immolating, the Wigeon's several non-functional dials, or my wish of every car that has a clock having the clock actually working...
My favourite part of 0.30 is official Vulcan support. I have a gtx 1080 and I play at 1440p. The card struggles on dx11 ultra after the new update. But after trying out Vulcan, I get a solid 80-100fps instead of the 50-60 I was getting on dx11. I’m over the moon happy rn 😅😅.
vulkan support has been in the game, they've just moved it under the regular play button so it's easier to access. i'd expect vulkan support to fully release in 0.31.
It surprises me that literally none of the verbal beamng content creators are doing a career mode series yet. I've put in at least 15 hours since the update
The Aurata actually confirms that Hirochi is or is very similar to Honda, since they make the Talon. The SBR could be the NSX. I have no idea what the Sunburst would be but it’s most similar to a WRX
You colud get to the island before by going on one of the things above the highway in a small car then going down the staurs on the railway then driving.
I just tried this update yesterday and as a person who drive manual with assist on beamng I tried to turn it off and I swear my car always stall I guess I need to learn how to drive again, and also I love the aurata
The Aurata is quite fun do drive around (specially with the transmissions mod for it), love when they added the Gambler 500 cars in 0.29 and this was really nice, just wish it had either a vehicle rework or another vehicle added as well
i was very happy to see the new manual transmision logic my dad shifts his old Mopars without a clutch (and yes if you know what your doing it does not damage transmission at all in fact it prolongs clutch life
Manual became worse because on superpowerful v8 it destroys synchronizers unstead of gently inpressing the clutch For me Manny became a lot worse because now i have to manually put car on first and then change mode to arcade
@@kak8895 this is not true for post soviet countries. And the fact that game couldn't properly shift with supercharger v8 (from base game) is killing the update for me The second issue is that game pretty good at understanding when to shift(game is should be good manual driver)but still couldn't start normally in the first place
@@ZE1WHO1 Trust me, it's a skill issue. Every car shifts differently irrespective of engine size. I've tried it and you can shift without the clutch and not damage the synchronizers if you know what you're doing. It's very easy. Just practice and you'd love it.
Why do i have the impression, that the game has less performance than previous versions? With the same settings, this update resulted in less good performance and less FPS's.
