@CamsWrldd _ my guy, when has madden ever given IOL proper credit? I think most of the guys without super high draft stock get shit on without multiple probowls
I credit the Offensive Line coach as well. Most times there's a lack of good position coaching and coordination of a unit. These guys have the talent, the skill & work ethic. They all [NFL Players] just need to be put in the right situation with support and they'll flourish. Watching this, I see awareness, experience but sound coordination from his whole unit.
I agree. You have to have that to make cut-back runners like Henry effective. Davis was definitely the best player on their offensive line. None of that works without someone pulling and getting into the 2nd level to block LBs. I can't believe they let him go and that he was so cheap. What an obvious and great move for the bears Bear Down!
Awesome stuff 👍🏼He is a better than expected signing..PFF gave him above average grades..which is fine but you certainly have shown more potential to be even better than we thought .. I really liked the videos on Kancey, Carter.. I would love to see more on Van Ness, Tuipolotu, Adebawore, Jack Campbell or anyone else who could be 2-3rd options for the Bears DL and OL..Thanks for the great work 🙏
I'm a Titans fan and have watched his whole career. He's really solid, I think saying he's a top 3 guard in the league is probably a stretch. His play on the field is well above average, but he's become quite injury prone. I hope he can stay healthy though for the Bears and have a good stay there. I just hope Brunskill that (who the Titans signed) can provide solid play given the lower price.
I’m liking this video I’m really focused on the o line for the bears and has been an on going issue, this is a most definitely a bonus to learn this info
@@quesotamale Yeah, I read the details of how they analyze each player and was impressed so I became a subscriber. Even when my perception of a player differs from their grade I'll go with their grade because they look at every snap.
Glad to see Ryan Poles pickup Nate Davis as probably Left Guard Tevin Jenkins Right Guard .... draft a center in the 3rd or 4th round as this draft is loaded for O Lineman. Need an anchor at Center 3rd or 4th round.
@@sacredserpent9667 This draft is loaded with O Lineman. Time to get a bunch & let them grow together with Fields. 3rd or 4th round a stud Center needed. Last year you saw what patchwork veteran free agents did ! They all SUCKED ! If there was a criticism of Ryan Poles its his free agent O Lineman signings - BRUTAL !
@Nicholas Yes , sweaty Teddy was too close to football operations for someone that was a Finance specialist. 5 th round pick Left Tackle Braxton Jones played like a higher round draft pick. I think Ryan Poles will do good in Aprils draft.
I honestly knew next to nothing about Davis, I don't get to watch much of the Titans. Wondering how they are going to fit the line together this year. Jenkins has talked about wanting to go back to tackle, wondering if they are considering Jenkins moving to RT, or Davis moving to LG.
Very good breakdown, this is a nice pickup by this young GM Mr. King Poles Dude. Whitehair is gone we thank him for his services, but we wish him the best in his future endeavors. By cutting him we save 9 to 10 million I believe. Also, Mustipher has to go, as we have Luke Patrick as our backup center because I am not sold on him at this point. I am looking forward to the Draft, as I think we need 2 to 3 starters from said Draft.
What do you think happens to Whitehair if you think Davis is LG and Jenkins is RG? Would he move back to center since he's done it before or is he gone?
If he stays, I would love for him to be the Center. He is probably better than Patrick/Mustipher. Plus, He's making 14M this year. And you take a cap hit of 8M if you cut him. So that doesn't make a lot of sense.
@@tremiller3988 He’ll be a post June 1st cut. His cap hit is 14 million and that’s WAY too much for an injury prone backup at this stage of his career. Poles will draft a Tackle and a C.
@@The_Football_Scout there's no probably about it, but that's a low bar. Wouldn't be shocked if they grabbed or drafted a C, but moreso because Cody has a big cap hit and they can save a substantial amount cutting him. I also can't help but remember his rookie year at center, which was painful because of the fumbles and bad long snaps lol
It will be interesting...Jenkins at RG was graded higher than Davis. Considering Tevin is basically going into his 2nd year, maybe there's a chance he can grow into an excellent RT he was drafted to be.
6:20 Derrick Henry fumbled which made the Titans the only team to not score a touchdown on a pass that weekend. Some guy lost like $25k because of that play
Damn he’s got skills. I don’t see the bears moving him to left guard for Jenkins but I can see the bears moving Jenkins to either left guard or right tackle for this guy to play his position. If you get a guy this good at a certain position on the line you don’t move him to another spot cause his position is easier than another one and want to keep a weaker player at the easier position. This is a good start for the o line they need to either move Jenkins to right tackle and buy a center or move whitehair to center and jenkina to left guard and than buy a right tackle. They need to buy in free agency tho and than draft some guys as well you don’t want a guy going down and only have some week backups they should get 7 good o linemen two of them being from the draft and let them learn or if they ball out rotate them
@@rorywyatt4174 he probably is thinking the same thing about you like I’m so sick of men using emojis like they’re females I just want that man out of RU-vid comment sections cause it’s embarrassing that men are doing things a female would do. It also sounds like your the only one wanting whitehair off the team. He’s been a good o lineman for years for the bears and has been the only player on the line playing well in some of those seasons. When he’s got two guards next to him that have slow reflexes and aren’t very good at doing they’re job yea they’re not gonna be perfect when playing center. He’s gonna have problems snapping the ball when he knows he’s gotta probably take on two d linemen and doesn’t want to just get ran the fuck over before the ball even gets to the qb cause he’s playing on one of the worst lines in football and since 2018 he’s really been the only one holding his own on the o line. Last year Line wasn’t as bad as the 3-4 years before that season but whitehair has been the best on the line since 2018 other than last season when he was banged up and he’s always on a line that’s moving guys around cause the guys around him can’t do they’re job or they get injured so he’s moving around as well. Your trippin
I think he can play left guard after watching this. Usually the right guard is the less athletic of the two guards but this guy is definitely athletic enough to play on the left
Any Titans fans in here who can speak for seeing him play every week? He seems durable throughout his career and this video is certainly good background, but curious what anyone else thinks who saw him play in TEN
Nate Davis is an excellent run blocker and above average pass blocker. He has good lateral quickness and decent power. He allowed 3 sacks last year and 4 penalties. Bears have picked up a good value guard at a fair price. Was interested to see if Titans would let him go, only concerns were injury in 2022 playing 12 of 17 games.
Very good run blocker, below average in pass blocking. He was perfect for the Titans because he’s really good when a team is in a positive game script, but starts to slide when in obvious passing situations. I don’t think he’s worth 10 million a year (and despite what this comment section says, he’s definitely not top a top 10 guard lol) but he is a very solid starter. He’s a good player and a good signing for what y’all are trying to do.
Now that we have 2 good linebackers and won't need Will Anderson, I hope the Bears draft 1 of the 2 best offensive lineman in college at #9. Skoronski? We desperately need a LT and LG to cover Fields' blind spot. Should be #1 priority.
Nate Davis is the one OL I wish the Titans kept (I'm a Titans fan), but the claim that he's the best guard in the NFL is absurd. Pure clickbait. He's a solid, mid tier OL.
So far this has been a bust, as Nate Davis seemt to avoid practicing like the plague. So much for using the preseason to develop some chemistry with the rest of the O-line.
