Always interesting, James. I notice that the rooms always have painted trim. Some of us have stained trim. Featuring a few of those with your paint choices, at times, would be great.
I used Cotton Balls in a very dark situation. Cotton Balls saved my prior dark situation in a an RV parked in the woods. I painted the ceiling, walls, trim and cabinets in Cotton Balls. It goes very well with our mahogny countertops and similar hued flooring. The bunk room on the end of my RV will get treated with Snow on a Mountain after a tiresome search to fullfill my beigey green desire. After watching your video, I went out and grabed a paint pot for snow on a mountain and it's perfect. I am finally able to confidently move forward and have my beigey green room without sacrificing it going muddy at night or on rainy days. It brings out the green in my fern pictures and is the perfect backdrop for my pinkish hued linens with green leaves. I agree with you on segregating Cotton Balls and testing it alone without the other off whites next to it. For me Cotton Balls never looks too yellow or green, but it is the perfect backdrop for my nature inspired pictures and plants. It's bright yes, but in my situation it really livens everything up without feeling too stark. Thank you so much for this video The Paint People!
Cotton Balls turned out light green on my walls, I had high hopes because I am dealing with a north facing room. I think I am going to settled with White Dove, that one has not turned out to be something unexpected. Even Swiss Coffee came out a bit green. Something wrong with my eyes or my house.
I am using Cotton Balls for all of our trim and upper walls in our skoolie conversion. It is beautiful with Weeping Willow for our cabinets & Cedar Grove for the lower walls. Love it all.
I just painted a house for a client in Cotton Balls. She thinks it didn’t cover and not white or bright enough. Crazy. It’s SO white. She wants another coat, but I am afraid she still won’t like it. Wondering if we should put a white with a higher LRV if she goes with another coat. What do you think? Also, she only has one small window on the southside in the main room. She is thinking of making the front door glass to let in more light. Should she may be wait to get the new front door before deciding to go with a whiter white
I painted my north-facing living room in the SW equivalent of Cotton Balls and the visible dining room and entry room in Sea Salt (I know, I've mentioned Sea Salt here before a time or two). I only wish I had painted the ceiling in an even brighter white instead of the same as the walls, but we live to make mistakes, right?
