Jade Empire is so unique and underrated. It has a better looking version of the Odyssey graphics engine (same one that KOTOR used) with a fun active combat system. Plus the characters and story are top notch as well. Truly a gem during Bioware's golden years.

OMG OMG OMG. I've literally been playing this on stream recently and talking to people about how bad I want this remade. Such a gem of a game though the combat needs updating.

I got this and Psychonauts at the same time when I went to the beach once as a kid (had been saving up). That is one of my favorite beach trip memories to this day, and I didn't set foot on the beach. What a great game.

This is on my short list of classic titles I need to stream. I still love this game and replay it every few years... Though on PC. Kinda curious if it ever developed a mod scene...

The short answer is yes, it did. A slightly better answer is that the loss of the original forums lost a lot of stuff. There is some stuff on Nexus and the Steam Workshop, and I recommend the Jade Empire in Style mod from its self named website, though it was seemingly also abandoned. It is in a mostly complete and totally usable state. There is also a whole wiki dedicated to the modding of Jade Empire with a lot more info.

This is by far my favorite bioware game , and it has such a great story and its varied enough that you can replay it multiple times. I was just talking to a friend about it on monday. Why wont bioware give us a seauel???

Another truly incredible game that has been slept on for too long (21 years) is Skies Of Arcadia. Truly the very best JRPG ever made. A sequel would be nice, but the president of Sega of Japan once said they would love to make a sequel but won't due to the potential chance of disappointing fans. I would at least like a port to modern consoles. An HD remaster would be wonderful for such a beautiful game. But Sega now ignores this game more than Shenmue. Did they lose the source code? I would just love to play this classic Dreamcast/GameCube game again. Rest in peace Skies Of Arcadia...

Jade Empire, Skies of Arcadia, Paper Mario TTYD, and Legend of Legaia 2. All these rpgs from all the consoles of this generations are some rpgs i would be ecstatic to see make a modern comeback.

I play Skies of Arcadia every few years and it's great every time. Oh, and you just reminded me that Super Mario RPG never got a proper sequel! The Paper Mario games were a great spiritual successor though.

I LOVED this game so much, got it release date which I rarely do and it's still genius. Why never a follow-up is baffling, so much potential left in this world to play with and deserved more with the mythology.

I never got to play this on the xbox, but it did have a release on the Iphone a couple years ago. This game was so good I would often run out of battery in the middle of the day from playing it so much lol

This was a title, that you remembered the look of the cover from repeated trips to the video stores. But it stayed on the shelf. And i have no problems with it still to this day

The blade runner pc game was pretty cool and got a recent and controversial refresh. Would def watch a video on the history there. Mario rpg is another one that never got a square sequel, and the mario games that followed just had different dna.

I am not sure you know this but a while ago the former executive producer for Jade Empire, Mark Darrah, in a video said that the reason why Jade Empire probably won't get a sequel is because Bioware doesn't feel comfortable making a mostly Asian themed game as a Canadian studio. He did say that if a Jade Empire sequel was to be made that EA Shanghai should make it with Bioware's help.

Jade Empire is among my favorite games of all time. It deserves better. Too bad the studio that made it got shut down after Andromeda, and what's left of bioware is being put towards Dragon Age 4. We'll probably never get another Jade Empire.

First, I wish Sonic Chronicles had gotten the sequel that was meant to be. Second, good chances an HD remaster or something will be announced in the next year or so. Much cheaper than investing in new developments. Though prolly some mobile shenanigans are more likely.

A sequel would be great if it were exclusive to Xbox. It would really boost Xbox's 1P library with how they're becoming the platform to play RPG's. But if it was cross platform I wouldn't be mad because then more people could experience this awesome game.

I'd love to see a new Jade Empire. Let one of Microsoft's many new dev studios develop the title. If none of them want to or is deemed capable, see if they can get Bioware to develop Jade Empire 2.
