I met some black American a while ago in Africa. They really felt superior to the black Africans. It was kind a shock to me. They spoke to them in a denegrating way.

I am in America, and the way things are going over here, I've decided to resettle in Wakanda.

Black Americans? Let's look at this carefully. Black Americans, "re" settling in Africa. To "re" settle, that means to do twice? Hence "re" Is it not? Ok. If "Black" Americans are doing it twice, then that implies that they're originally from, Africa. If they're originally from Africa, why are they called "Black Americans" rather than what they we're originally called "Africans". Or at the very least "African Americans". You know... African to denote that they're from Africa and American because that is the nation that some of us Africans live in? This question is rhetorical. The point I'm getting at is that they always try to find a way to separate us as a people. Most of the time it works... sadly.

I’m going back to Europe it just doesn’t feel right living on indigenous land .

Lived in Kenya for 8 years and I can tell you this report is very misleading. First off I’m white, moved to Kenya because I fell in love with the country after I went to help teach the remote tribal people’s English, Maths and helped build schools. Africa is lovely don’t get me wrong and the people are very inviting. But this report makes it look like Black people are just accepted with open arms which couldn’t be further from the truth, many people will be largely accepted but for the vast majority it’s a hard life. First off the idea of Black people and white people is a pretty American thing, In Europe alone although a majority of people are ‘white’ they look very different depending on the region, same with Africa. You are not black you are your people group, and if you move here as a westerner chances are you don’t know who your ancestral people are which is going to mean you are going to find it hard to potentially find jobs or really get a close relationship with anyone. My friend moved here from London been here 15 years loved it but it’s a hard life, even though he is ‘black’ and might look like he fits in just from speaking to him people know he is not one of them. Secondly if you have no degree then forget it, jobs are hard to come by that are decent paid and don’t require a degree. And if you come from the west you are going to be bottom of the list on applications. Degrees that are looked for here are, engineering, maths, English, business, law, accounting, medicine. If you are a teacher then you should have no problem finding a job here as teachers are needed, same if, you are a doctor. Things are getting better but right now your best bet is starting a company here rather than finding a job. To anyone thinking of moving I am happy to answer any questions, it’s hard life but it is rewarding knowing you are helping build a nation and provide jobs. I do advise moving here I have loved it, but be prepared as it is very hard, it’s not like moving in the west when you can fit in better, every town, village, city even neighbourhood is different.

Africa has been on my mind a lot since Donald Trump became US President. According to my DNA , I’m 43% Nigerian and 23% Cameroon with the rest northwestern European . One day, I would like visit my West African ancestral home(s). I’m soon to be 58 years old and America is just as racist in some places today as it was when I was child more than 50 years ago. As a race that literally built this country with our enslaved ancestors blood and sweat, we deserve better and equal treatment.

Much respect to these people. Just as there are whites who will never be satisfied or comfortable with multiculturalism, there are also blacks who feel the same. They are doing something positive to bring satisfaction and contentment to their lives.

I lived in California for over 45 yrs and l recently moved back to my birth country Lesotho in 2017. I was just tired of America, harresement by the police the feeling of bieng less than human. I will NEVER live anywhere in America again. My biggest mistake was not leaving years ago. Here when police stop me wether it be a random police check point or anything l am never scared or feel like my life may end today. Thats huge and l also feel that the sky is the limit on what l can do the amount of money l can make because there isn't a systemic white racist agenda holding me back

I'm a white guy in the U.S. and this is great! The worst lingering problem about slavery in the U.S. was the kidnapping of Africans and taking them to another part of the world, very cruel. Everybody deserves a chance to live where their own culture and heritage can blossom and bloom.

The truth is, more are coming to Europe and America everyday than going “back” to Africa. I truly hope this catches on though.

I'm thinking the same thing for years. This should have being the top focus for us a long time ago. We were taken from the Africa continent so it's fitting that we return and help develop Africa instead of staying in countries where we are racially profiled and abused.

The best part is Africans are accepting their long separated siblings with open arms. This speaks a lot. If Colombians were going back to Spain, the reception wouldn't have been so warm.

I'm guessing far more leave Africa for the West than the other way around. I can't see this trend changing in my lifetime. I want Africa to be stable and prosperous, free of outside meddling. Hopefully, they can achieve that for themselves.

I’m thinking of moving to Ghana. I have been doing research on Ghana after seeing articles of how Ghana is accepting of Black Americans. My boyfriend is from Haiti but I definitely want to visit Ghana before I decide if I want to move there. I have been saving money so I can travel.

Imagine if all people of African descent were to make one massive Exodus back to Africa ... Africa would quickly become the next superpower !!!

So much for the American dream. From reading the comments I really don't think enough people know or bother to mark any distinction between the different countries of Africa. While it's great that there seems to be a sense of African unity, I doubt how many Africans really care about such a lofty ideal, I think it's also a disservice to Africa's many diverse and unique cultures and countries to be reduced down to Africa all the time. And this kind of generalization is something you seem to see far more inside Western countries with a condescending level of political correctness with terms like African Americans, Asian Americans etc, and you don't see such reductive terms used in other continents. While some countries do essentially live up the the stereotypes in the West, others are radically different, such as Ghana which is far more stable and wealthy. While African Americans look to Africa as a homeland, most would have origins somewhere in West Africa, and if we're being honest, involved Africans enslaving other Africans to then sell to Europeans. Hundreds of years have passed since then, and American and African American culture and cultural experience are far different from those of native Africans. There's so many difference that and time that's passed I don't think you can really say that African Americans are returning home. If people want to move to Ghana or wherever to build a better life for themselves then I wish them the best, but let's not pretend that there is such a strong cultural of historic link with the whole continent.

As a white American, I fully support my black brothers and sisters going back to their homeland! In fact, I think the US government should facilitate and pay for it, for all eligible individuals. :)

This is an amazing story, it's like the reverse of how the new world was founded. So many people around the world aspire to becoming American like it's something superior ,and not just America, so many people around the world leave where they are from and go to big cities and want to leave behind their original identity again thinking they are now superior to the people they have left behind, maybe now people realise where you are from is your true identity an what makes you .

Honestly, you do you. I cannot imagine not living in America, but if it makes you happy go for it.

When Marcus Garvey wanted to move with a group of willing participants to an African country. The FBI did not agree. He was arrested and released sent back to Jamaica and banned from US re-entry. I don't really believe in spiritual things that much. But if there could be an initiative to exume the remains of slaves who never received proper burials. It will honor and bless their lineage.
