I agree, because that was me. I finally realized I was voting for candidates that made me feel good, never focused on the messages or the actions. I finally asked myself the question why haven't the state if black people gotten much better since the 1930s? Then realized we've just given away our vote ans seeing nothing in return. The Dems have automatic had the black vote so why would they do anything? We never forced them to do anything like other groups. The threat of losing out vote was never there. My point is historically black Americans never had any real alliances with political parties because of discrimination. It still holds true today. Policies supported by both parties are not designed to empower the black community.

I am black voting Harris. I do not vote against my self interest. Project 2025 is a threat to democracy for all people. Brothers voting against their self interest makes no sense.
