@@goldenson4566 they just want to rack in as much pre-orders as possible, before they reveal a legendary card that might make people want to uninstall the game early.
@@goldenson4566 It's always like this... we're still in the phase where they feed us just some sprinkles, the real reveal is next week I think, where each day they reveal all cards from a class...
Blizzard really just said: we didn’t learn from our mistake with Shroomscavate, so now we are giving handbuff paladins a new windfury card. It could probably read: give friendly southsea deckhand windfury. And still function the same.
But this minion doesn't give Divine Shield. So obviously it's weaker than Shroomscavate. Plus, you can use Dirty Rat to try and pull him. Most of the times, it won't work, but when it does, it will pull him already handbuffed to 30/30
Bodybuilder seems relatively interesting. Aside from forcing your opponents to summon with your own cards, it just naturally shuts down deathrattle summons and secrets. Dunno if it's good, but it'll definitely win games outta thin air at one point or another.
Unironically. I love Snoozing Zookeeper's flavor and utility. In Shaman this is just a hilarious full board clear most of the time. It won't be playable sure, but its just a goofy card.
Southsea Deckhand or any Pirate on the board + double Cold Blood + Sailboat Captain is 20 damage. This is going to make Pirate Rogue a whole another level of broken. Reminds me of Shroomscavate, except this can go into any class.
I already see Southsea Deckhand in that Paladin Handbuff deck gonna go crazy with Sailboat Captain. That's a 4 mana combo that literally can kill half your life total or higher with ease. Utterly terrifying and we havent even seen what cheap handbuff stuff Paladin will get (they got that tourist that lets you double effect 2 or less cost cards). I smell an OTK brewing.
@@tarille1043 There are enough of them across the entire standard pool tho, and who knows if there are any more, or how many of them are in this upcoming expansion. If stars align correctly, you could potentially play 2 of these on turn 5 with coin and deal 10 dmg, shadowstep them, and then the next turn with sonya play 4 of them for 24 damage. And the combo just gets more lethal the longer the game goes. Even if the deck does not become toxic this next expansion, there is very high chance it becomes toxic in the future with more expansions.
@@vukkicos5688 Have you tried playing Elemental Shaman or Elemental Mage at all? Classes that has a bunch of Elemental support can struggle to stack Elementals because even with their strong class Elementals, there's just not that much support to consistently play one every turn. Especially since you also have to factor in that you have an opponent. They're doing things. You can't just sit there playing your Elementals on curve and ignore what they're doing. It's a nice theoretical combo, but it's unlikely to ever be a thing. The Elemental stacking mechanic just sucks too much even for classes that have plenty of support.
@@vukkicos5688 And using Shadowstep to maintain the elemental stacking means you don't have Shadowstep to do your "Broken combo" with the payoff elemental.
Lamplighter with Brann and at least 10 turns of playing elementals... Mark OTK. Overplanner gets shut down by bomb warrior or plague DK unless you do card draw right after playing it. Concierge would probably work for any class (except mage) after they play Reno, Lone Ranger.
You obviously missed the part where the opponent's minion has to be summoned on your turn this would mean the only time that it is going to work is if you play dirty rat to pull them in from their deck. Or kill a death rattle that spawns a new minion. Or if you played something that spawned a minion for your enemy which I can't even think of anything other than like leeroy Jenkins lol
@@ShawnRaz87 I don't want to be rude since you probably missed it in my comment or forgot that a card like that existed, but ther is a wild paladin card called "Frontlines", and it summons minions from both decks untill one side is full. Hence my original question of interaction between those 2 cards
I made Legend in Wild with a Battlecry Elemental Shaman. You can double Skarr, Kalimos, Blazecaller and now Lamplighter......insane finishing damage from multiple cards
That Naga seems like an auto include in any deck. More value in control, recycle combo pieces and your best spells, even in aggro like in spell hunter you can discover another burn card. Seems like it'll probably be in 99% of decks unless there's something I'm not understanding
You totally missed the fact that with concierge you can put it in a tourist deck where your hard running those cards from another class. Including the one mana drink which is now free
Doesn't concierge make the rogue excavate rewards random spells cost 0? Seems pretty good to me! Edit: And with Tourist cards you can also easely cheat mana in pretty much every class. Seems good, but 3 mana might be slightly too slow.
They nerfed Paladins windfury combo because of how it can otk, so now they're giving them a new way to do that again. The devs actually don't have any object permanents.
3 Mana give windfury to pirates is perfectly fine. There are no 2/1 chargers for 1 mana that happen to be pirates in the game. Even if there were to be any, its not like you can handbuff them.
I think so. Since Reno cards also procc if you have a 2nd copy of a card in your ETC, the ETC cards should count as „not in your deck“. But I’m not sure ofc
yeah concierge is a minimum 4 star card with this new set letting you play other classes cards in your deck. zeddy definitely forgot about it the tourists 😂😂
Sailboat will be nerf if you get some extra copies don't dust wait until the nerf, shoud be fast. That card will destroy wild for a week. I can see a 15/15 paches windfury winning the game turn 2.
The flavour text has no The Boys references in it. Lamplighter is the name of an actual (albeit obsolete) profession that the character was named after. Most likely just a coincidence.
Bayfin Bodybuilder + To the Front (the Paladin spell that summons lots of minions from both players’ decks) is not OP by any means, but is extremely funny.
Tidepool Pupil seems decent for Reno decks. It's like a better version of Dryscale Deputy because you get more control over the spell you get and a 1 mana 2/1 is better stats for the cost than 2 mana 2/2. Snoozin' Zookeeper feel reminiscent of Deathwing, Mad Aspect but one sided. Still terrible though. 8/8 is going to do nothing against a board full of 8/8 Giants or a Handbuff Pally's board of 10/15's... Bloodsail Recruiter... Marin is a Pirate, which could be a highroll for some decks. Concierge is more about Tourists. Playing off-class cards via Tourist will let you get Concierge value. Burgle Rogue/Thief Priest action is a minor aspect of the card. Sailboat Captain... Oh FFS... Like we haven't had enough of Handbuff Pally and it's Leeroy Windfury BS, now we get Handbuff Pally Deckhand Windfury BS...
I could run ETC and play a 4 mana 4/4 to get a 6 mana charge with 6 attack. Or, I could just put Leeroy Jenkins in my deck and have a 5 mana charge with 6 attack.
Lamplighter will be nerfed. It will eventually be changed to not be able to go face. This is a 5 star broken ass card. I also tend to agree that Sailboat Captain can be a problem. There are some Charge options now, giving them windfury is just dumb.
The total output of lamplighter is too low. The fact that it doesnt do it all in one shot is kinda the problem. As a top deck in an elemental deck, its pretty good if you can trivialy keep the elemental thing going but if the deck cant this card instantly falls apart. Compared to trogg gem tosser, which sees a decent amount of play, which scales up just as fast but maxes at 10 dmg, its not really any better in an elemental deck. If you are somehow getting to turn 10 with tempo alone, this isnt going to secure your win. Gem tosser struggles with this as well. If it was a single instance of damage like shock spitter then this card would be insane but what is 7 dmg split among all enemies gonna do if they have 3 8/8 giants and thats kinda the meta rn.
@@MinoriGamingI'm dumb, this card is dumb and zeddys probabaly right on the 4/5. Still could be trash if you miss your turn 3 elemental drop. You need this thing to do at least 4 dmg on 6 so if you can't hit that consistently than maybe this card won't be good enough.
So does Flamestrike, Blizzard, Brawl, Badlands Brawler, Chaos Nova, Gnomelia Gearheart… There’s a lot of removal that clowns on Pirates mid-late game. That’s why it’s played as an aggro deck, your pirates can’t really survive on board past turn 6, so you just kill your opponent on turns 4-5.
@@MinoriGaming Flamestrike costs 7, Blizz costs 6, Chaos Nova removes YOUR board too. Gnomelia also costs 6 (though it is efficient I'll give it that) Keep in mind it's cheap for *neutral highlander decks* and *leaves a big minion in your case* It also tells priest to... well :D double battlecrying it means that well ahahhahha Yes warriors will be interested in this
Tidepool Pupil functions like that legendary mage had? It'll keep the first 3, or will take the last 3? I'm assuming it's the first 3... ~Sailboat Captain will find a way into Paladin... again. IT'S THE FUCKING THIRD TIME BLIZZARD, STOP GIVING PALADIN WINDFURY.(although I'll admit that this is the weakest one, since it has to be a pirate...).
Yeah I mean you either release op cards to make people play the new stuff so they make money, or they make cards that don't hold up to modern standards that nobody has any reason to craft or get excited for
