is it just me or is Nix getting very similar treatment by the media and NFL scouts as Herbert leading up to the draft. I don't get why a QB playing in Oregons offense is a problem. I think Justin proved that a quarterback could go from playing in Oregon offense to the NFL game and not only succeed but dominate at times

It's interesting to watch every March heading into April, QBs like Bo Nix, Michael Penix Jr, JJ McCarthy being talked into the top 10, top 20, then fans end up convincing themselves at the end of the day. It's deja vu, but it pumps better players down the draft board.
@cityhawk
@cityhawk Месяц назад
This is why I’d rather the Giants go after Harrison Jr. or Alt instead of reaching for someone like McCarthy. I don’t see the Giants reaching for McCarthy. It reeks of a smokescreen.

@@cityhawkyeah giants need receivers, even if they draft a qb they would still have receiver problems. Draft Rome as a true X wr1 and keep options open for any quarterback whether it’sDaniel jones or a young guy. Maybe draft a qb rd 2 or 3 and just give him a chance later in the year

Bo Nix is an easy evaluation. He had full autonomy in that offense and made basically all the calls. This makes it much easier to get a feel for him. Nix will be elite at the next level. He has elite arm talent and he already processes on the fast side in comparison to starters already in the NFL. The offense is not college at all. The individual plays are heavy pro style. People saying the offense is simple simply don’t know what they are talking about. If it were simple, it would be easy to stop.
@sheena9904
@sheena9904 Месяц назад
His processing and accuracy are great but is his arm strength any good? There’s so many mixed signals about arm strength. Is it just the Oregon offense not letting qbs through the ball deep Ala Herbert?
