"Every organization needs to be criticized and should be criticized. But there's a difference between criticism and false equivalency." A common criticism of American politics is that "both parties are two sides of the same coin." Wypipologist Michael Harriot disagrees and explains that Black people should vote for who they believe represents the aims and goals of the Black community at large. Presuming that both are the same suggests voting doesn't matter, and if Black people don't vote, they're allowing wypipo to make all the political decisions in the United States.

A Louisiana House committee voted to repeal a law requiring employers to give child workers lunch breaks and to cut unemployment benefits - part of a push by Republicans to remove constraints on employers and reduce aid for injured and unemployed workers.

No, the parties are not the same, but what more socialist-oriented people would say is that our political system fails most people because the two parties appear to be the same. In essence, there is only one party, the party of capital, many would argue, supported by the concept of race. As for capitalism, due to the vast numbers of women, enough of the population supports capitalism because it is inextricable from the American Way. Gerade Horne just recently remarked that class collaboration from the bottom up is the basis for the existence of the United States. Know what I mean?

Democrats certainly haven’t promoted gerrymandering or banned books or voted down childcare credits, or made themselves exceptions to the ACA, (that’s the Affordable Care Act for you dummies) or declared slavery to be a “benefit.” People that don’t realize the subtle differences between the parties are being incredibly stupid. Black people operate better in PROGRESSIVE environments.

@bca0003, are you aware Biden signed into law the Emmett Till Anti-lynching Act and also signed an executive order for the George Floyd Justice In Policing Act in 2022. Have you or any of your loved ones served in the US military? If so, Biden's PACT Act expands health care benefits to vets exposed to toxic burn pits in Iraq, Afghanistan, agent orange in Vietnam and first responders from 9-11. Biden's American Rescue Plan allocates $7 billion to HBCUs and his infrastructure bill allocates billions to replace lead pipes in our black communities in Flint, Benton Harbor Michigan and Jackson Mississippi. ACLU reports racial profiling blacks are disproportionately arrested for possession of marijuana 3.2% more than whites for the same use. Biden's pardon of non violent convictions for marijuana possession will empower blacks applying for employment, college and renting. Biden's appointed life term judges are a huge significance in our criminal justice system. Blacks often receive harsher sentences than whites. A white man got probation for intentional voter fraud by forging the signatures on absentee ballots of both his deceased mom and mother-in-law. Meanwhile a black woman Crystal Mason recently had her 6 year sentence overturned for a voting error for when she cast her provisional ballot. Biden's Child Tax Credit cut child poverty by 40%. Republican lawmakers allowed Biden's CTC expire and refuse to extend Biden's Child Tax Credits. Biden's student loan forgiveness creates generational wealth by empowering many blacks as first time home buyers. Biden's Butch Lewis Act protects the pensions of retirees and workers from reckless employers who file bankruptcy like Donald Trump filed 6 times.

@@keldiggs232 You are not making any sense. While I personally do not agree with the idea, I guess this is why some are asking some source of assessment/test for people eligible to vote.

@keldiggs232 7 месяцев назад
@@Iskander448 well there is nothing to assess right here. I don't hear anything that interests me from either party. I'm not going to vote for the sake of voting. The era of choose worst of 2 evils is done. I'm not going to participate in that. A lot of other people feel that way. And this guy's word salad just solidifies my choice. By all means vote for who you want to vote for. Makes sense to you....cool. The couch is making sense to me. 🗳️🛋️
