Yeah... that and them dressing up the Scots as if they were Pict Savages. As a descendant of an English Reiver family its pretty funny I guess; but good lord that was ridiculous. The Scots were properly armed and armored.
I don’t understand how your channel is only this popular. This is an amazingly edited video and your channel overall is amazing. Keep up the amazing work!
Yeah same. Don't get me wrong, analyzing the historical accuracy of movies is totally fine to do and can be pretty educational. But acting like films are bad just cuz they're inaccurate is pretty dumb.
@@elmosanchez exactly, and he bitches about bravehearts inaccuracies yet is fine with ghost and the darkness which is hardly accurate and he himself admits it alongside him ignoring many of the inaccuracies within a bridge too far.
@@jcdenton7891 I mostly think it is the faults of the video being one of his older works which is prone to mistakes and the fact it was cool to hate on Mel Gibson then in 2016 with the controversies surrounding him at the time. I still respect both of them and likely had changed for the better.
I like your edition and narration abilities. If I could have you talk about cod 3 I would love it, but I think a video about it was already made and it may not be the moment for you to upload another.
I've paused it... I'm gonna go way out on a limb here, and guess that the side (on the right) with the Plantagenet flag are English? Although I see a fleur de lis with the other guys... making me suspect this is a trick. Edit: Ha ha!! Useless knowledge wins the day!! What is that, Poitiers? Gotta be, I don't see a slew of archers, so its unlikely to be Crecy or Agincourt. THAT'S how much useless knowledge I have fellas. Couldn't pass a 9th grade algebra class to save my life though.
Loved it as a kid but hate it as an adult my nan made me watch it, yes a scot and yes an anti royalist. Also it's not hard to figure out who's who if you're not an American who doesn't know what a banner is 😂 also the blue paint was a thing through the Isles not just Scotland
''Mad Jack Churchill'' used a longbow and sword during WW2 as an historical homage to his ancestral culture and to rally / motivate his comrades. Having 4 rebel leaders in Brave Heart paint their faces with Woad to achieve the exact same effect is 100% feasible. Historical accuracy is important, but the story, inspiration and feeling a film should conger is equally important. As historically accurate as the Robbert the Bruce film was...it was dreadfully forgettable...compared to the sheer brilliance of Brave Heart... I'll take woad faced , kilt wearing William Wallace over any other battle film yet made each and every time. ‘’Yey, fight and you may die, run, and you’ll live..at least a while …. And dying in your bed…many years from now. Would you be willing ,to trade , all the days, from this day to that , for one chance, just one chance ..to come back here and tell our enemies; That they can take our lives…but they will never take..our Freedom!’’
