I got a canon bridge camera, similar to the one in this video for my birthday in September, it was my first camera, and I have began photography in college last year (2020) - it has been great fun to use and for starting out it’s great to experiment with and especially learn using manual settings on the camera :)
I bought a superzoom camera, sold to buy a DSLR, which is great, nice landscapes and portraits... But I had to buy another one because I simply got addicted to the zoom capabilities and other features. They are amazing for making movies too because they have constant focus and face recognition, not to mention the very capable image stabilizer, that make it possible to carry it around while making a video avoiding bad shaking. Even today when I'm going out and have to choose a camera I'm divided, they are lots of fun.
everyone forgets to mention that this series has a possibility to use a 58mm adapter ring to attach filters and macro lens to the camera which makes it even better than other brands.
Let's face it: You & I are NEVER going to expose at the Fine Arts Museum. Therefore being persnickety about the IQ & HDR rendition will only complicate the pleasure of having such a long zoom range and the clean 1080 video this camera offers for the price, almost after 2 years after it came out. Small sensor? Yes, since I've been shooting with my Lumix FZ50 & LX5, having two great satisfactions: Both give decent, well detailed images, great enough to be seen on my computer screen. I NEVER print, but I worked & printed a 11x17 hard copy from my wife's vacation, finished on canvas, and the wife is happy (every one who's married will understand the profound & deep meaning of this concept: happy wife) So if the wife is happy the camera is great. Mind you: both cameras are WORK HORSES. This SX60 belongs to the Canon Series of no frills, no compromise series. Remember: the more expensive the camera is, the greater the disappointing when you discover major problems. Sorry for my long letter. I don't want to leave without congratulating you on your fine video. Great exposition. Very helpful, and the images both came straight out from the camera. Have a great day & keep on sharing!!
I just had one given and it's a great camera, I find when the lens is fully extended its a bit shaky . I find info on bridge cameras very interesting. Good video.
I have a Fujifilm Finepix S99OOW and a Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd. Both of them are bridge cameras, and both are capable of taking great close up shots and nighttime shots too. Even though the lenses on both of them are not that fast. My S99OOW has a 50x zoom, and is also capable of WiFi, and my S1000fd has a 12x zoom. One potential issue with both of them is that they only take in JPEG not RAW, but if you can overcome that then they are both great cameras to own.
Dude thank you so much!! I really wanted a camera but I didn't know what to use and tbh I might just buy this! It has a flip screen, good photos, wifi enable, its in my budget, what I do want to know is does it have good audio and is it good quality for regular RU-vid videos ?
Maybe not. Because it has only up to 15 seconds shutter speed setting. The comparatively smaller sensor is not ideal for low light photography either. You may try tweaking factory options by using CHDK, but i haven't tried that yet.
I need some advice from you if you can help me . I have the same camera like you . How can I adjust my camera settings to get wide - angle videos ?Can you write down , step by step camera settings .Your videos are great wide- angled , and I also wish to get such videos .Thank you in advance . Greetings Branimir ! I am subscribed at your channel !

I have an sx50 hs. I have one serious problem with it. The video picks up terrible noise when either the autofocus or the zoom works. I wonder what is the case with the sx60 hs.
The SX60 has a mic input, not sure about the SX50. Either way, internal microphones are only good for sounds close up, and will pick up wind and zoom noise. Much better to use a separate audio device and sync sound and video in the edit. Smart phones have excellent audio recording, and lapel microphones with a phone jack are very cheap on eBay or Amazon.
I agree!! I purchased this in January and have used it extensively (Mexico, Florida, Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico...all over) and was only good in outdoor conditions. Also, horrible focus!!! Trying to upgrade now 😔
VanceAnce I read on the internet that this camera is not good for landscape Photography but if I look at your pictures it looks like thats not really true. Im having a nikon d5200 but thinking about buying this one. So I dont have to switch lenses all the time. But need to know if it is good for landscape Photography
