Why BRIE MODE Needs To Be Deactivated For A While

Solomonster you are absolutely spot on. 11 years in business.... Never once did Brie Bella looked like she improved in the ring. If she had ring rust then she should be training at the performance center for months to get back into ring shape. Rock did it. Brock did it. Someone as inexperienced as Brie DEFINITELY needed it.

It baffles me how tone deaf these wrestlers sound when responding to this incident. No one ever said Brie did this on purpose. And if there are those people, then it is a very tiny minority. It doesn't matter if it wasn't on purpose, the fact is that Brie was totally reckless in this situation. She didn't even give Liv time to recover because she was doing those kicks in rapid fire motion. When Daniel Bryan does those kicks, he waits a few seconds in between. Brie did the opposite of that, now she gave someone a concussion for her recklessness.

She's been in the business too long and has too much access to proper-training and developmental-sources (DANIEL BRYAN is her husband for crying out loud,) for her to be this incompetent in the ring. Some people have it and some people don't and she clearly does not. They need to get her out of there before she permanently injures herself, someone else, or both. It's not the end of the world to admit you _can't_ do something. The red-herring of "Well she didn't MEAN to do it," is just unabashed arrogance and insecurity by some of these wrestlers and fans. Of course she didn't MEAN to do it. She also didn't MEAN to pay attention to what she was doing apparently. She didn't MEAN to practice harder, train harder, and perfect her craft either. I mean, these people must really think we are totally brain-dead. "I gained weight after the baby that that altered my trajectory on the dives." O_o............................are you kidding me? I guess all the other female wrestlers as well as male wrestlers that have done dives are always _exactly_ the same weight every time right? This is why I don't watch this garbage anymore. *EXACTLY* why.

For a while?.... hell Brie Mode should be deactivated permanently. Brie is just not a wrestler... neither is Nikki. The current women's division doesn't need Bellas anymore and majority of fans just don't care for them.

You would think that she has an advantage when it comes to training considering who she is married to. I don't hate Brie Bella, but she shouldn't be wrestling anymore. It just isn't working. She's going to end her, or someone's career if she isn't careful.

First of all, it is completely laughable that WWE calls the Bellas legends. It's an insult to every woman who has earned the title of legend. Secondly, this is not the bathroom break divas era anymore. The Bellas can't compete on today's women's level. Much less Brie. Get them out of the ring, leave them on their sinking reality show were they belong and stop pretending they were part of the women's revolution when in fact they embodied everything that was wrong with women's wrestling prior to the revolution.

Just because someone is a good person and gets sentimental popularity from things in their personal life doesnt mean they are or will be a good performer. When WWE learns this, everyone will be better off.

Idiots keep comparing Brie Bella's botches to Seth Rollins injuring Sting. The significant difference is that Sting's body was giving out on him. The Seth Rollins/Sting thing was an unforeseen circumstance. What Brie Bella did was just proof positive that she sucks in the ring and she has been in WWE since 2007. So don't give me this horseshit, WWE bubble brigade. Besides, I don't remember Seth injuring people every week and why they didn't stop the match is beyond me.

Its not a war between wrestlers and fans. Its a war between wwe superstars and fans. Plus wrestling isn't rocket science. Hardcore fans get it and know the psychology and how things should look in the ring. Wrestlers need to stop acting like they hold some kind of doctorate in the field of pro wrestling.

It's an accident if someone botches once in a time, but is it really an accident if an 11-year "veteran" like Brie Bella botched 4 times in 3 weeks row? Let's see: (1&2) There is the two failed suicide dive of Brie to The Riott Squad on Raw; (3) Brie landed a stiff knee to Zelina Vega's face on SmackDown Live; (4) The YES! Kicks to the face of Liv Morgan. In any types of sport or even other occupation, you would be either terminated or reworked when you messed up 4 times in a row. Brie Bella clearly needs to be reworked, if she indeed wants to get back in the ring.

Almost all the wrestlers, retired or not that has commented on this failed to bring up that shes been tallying up botched moves left and right, literally giving her a pass. I have to respectfully disagree with people and the pro wrestlers who desperately try to defend Brie Bella's case. If you're a driver with 10 years of experience, but still fail to properly drive from A to B in a safe manner, then maybe there's something wrong with your driver's skills. My point is that Brie is a veteran in the business, yet is responsible for the the most amount of botches within the women's division. The other week she failed to attempt a suicide dive. It's one thing to admit that accidents can happen, and it's whole completely different ball game when you continuously cause an unsafe working environment for yourself and your co-workers. She's not just putting her own life at risk, but her colleagues in the process as well. These ex WWE wrestlers are desperately trying their best to defend Brie's case. You know something is off when EVERYONE tries to defend her on Twitter and on their podcasts. It sounds completely disingenuous to me. And I like how people use the argument: "well you're not a pro wrestler so you're in no position to criticize someone's work". That's complete bullshit. If someone is a professional driver for over 10 years, but still keeps crashing his car on the road. Even if they don't intend to crash, maybe.. just maybe there is something wrong with their driving skills. You can have a license over 10 years and still suck at driving. You could be a trained professional athlete, but still suck at doing your job. Maybe the level you're performing at just isn't on par with the rest and you're just not good enough. You can teach any regular human being to do a series of kicks in a proper rhrytm, and most would pick it up within 30 minutes. Whereas some are just incapable of doing what they're told to do. Also I don't know if people have noticed, but she also accidentally hit Ruby with a stiff elbow during the same match. Ruby got pissed off to the point where she got in the ring and kicked her for real. Again to reiterate my point, if you're known to be a shitty driver. I doubt anyone would want to be a passenger in your car, since they wouldn't feel safe willing to put their lives in your hands. However we're not talking about driving here, these are trained professional athletes who are supposed to know what they're doing as they should be capable of executing their moves safely. It's not ballet, but they're expected to work in a safe working environment. I don't have to be a professional F1 driver to see if a driver has horrible driving skills who often crashes his car into others. So I certainly don't have to be a professional wrestler to notice that someone is unsafe in the ring. So yes I do think that she should quit, because she's famous enough to walk the red carpet and work on the things she is good at. It's certainly obvious that wresting was never her forté not her strong suit. I don't think others make a solid case by pointing out the obvious. I've been doing martial arts for 11 years, and I certainly know the difference between trading blows fully on contact, with the intention to knock someone out. I also know the difference between honing your skills while having a lightly sparring match without intending to hurt your opponent. And guess what? Accidents happen, I was once too carefree to take in big leaps and got punched straight in the face despite my opponent trying pull his punches. It was completely my fault and I honed up to my mistakes. Now imagine if my attitude caused to break people's noses or even knocking them out. I'm fairly certain that even an experienced martial artist like myself would be scolded for my lack of control. I think when wrestlers say there was no malice in it what they really mean is Brie Bella isn't known to be a stiff worker (such as Vader, Stan Hanson and even Goldberg to an extant) and they're basically saying it was just an accident. Ring rust is a term for wrestlers that were actually competent in the ring to begin with. That does not apply to Brie. It makes me sick that wwe would promote the Bella's returning as "legends" in the same breath as a true legend and arguably the greatest of all time Shawn freakin Michaels.

Completely agree, especially with the performance center part, I remember seeing clips of Nikki in the performance center training after her neck surgery, so she could make a comeback at Summerslam 2016. It makes me wonder why Brie couldn't have done the same, I know she was at the Royal Rumble, at least she didn't botch there and get the wrong person eliminated, but coming back again, she totally could have gone to performance center first like Nikki did, it actually improved Nikki's wrestling a bit.

I dunno how much training she's done prior to her return whether on a practice ring or working out or whatever but it's painfully apparent that after a month she is NOT ready to compete. I hope WWE didn't rush her to comeback or that she believe that after nearly 2 years that she can wrestle like she never left. Brie definitely need to go down to the performance center until she's ready, even if she has to miss evolution, if she's serious about entertaining the fans or her fans and her overall perfornabce she'll swallow that pride and go down until she's ready to go back up.

There are like 5 women that aren’t cringe worthy on the main roster. Brie and Liv can’t wrestle and the result is getting KO’d on kicks most people would mock for looking so fake normally. How long before Alicia Fox hurts someone?

To me, it almost seems like a tribal thing; whenever something like this happens, they circle the wagons and protect their own. It's like when a cop does something wrong and the other officers in the department immediately rush to his or her defense. I'm also getting a little sick of wrestlers blowing off constructive criticism and legit concerns from fans because we allegedly have no right to do so. No one is beyond criticism, and if these so-called tough guys can't take it, then maybe they're not as tough as they like to think they are.

There have been instances in the past where male wrestlers have been fired for less than what Brie did. Look at Mr Kennedy. I mean, I'm sure there were other factors but his botch on Orton was a big contributer to his dismissal by all accounts. I'm not saying Brie should be fired but she definitely looks very much out of place compared to who she's in the ring with these days.

I'm going to actually take the wrestlers' side a bit on this one. This wasn't fans criticizing the creative execution of a match or angle but rather sounding off on a finer point of the actual athletic performance and it's not inaccurate to say that most fans aren't as qualified to comment on such matters as the people who actually do this at a high level for a living. I can absolutely see why so many wrestlers are irritated by random laypeople lecturing them on the art they've dedicated their professional lives to.

It's pretty sad when mostly everyone is talking about this unfortunate mishap and not about the actual show on raw. WWE has gone so far down the shitter it is almost unbearable to watch for more than a few minutes and it's only getting worse. And I really do want them to do well but I will say this now. In 15 or 20 years wwe will no longer exist. This is just my opinion but I feel they are running this show into the ground and it would take a lot to save it. If not for solomonster I would not in any way pay any attention to what is happening on raw or smackdown and that is a shame. With all the in ring talent they can't come up with something entertaining enough for me to watch for one hour let alone all three.

I've been in the business and it's a lot dirtier than you can imagine. Sometimes promoters put "hits" on people and they will purposely make sure certain people get hurt that piss them off or they want to slow someon'e role and they will use other workers to do it and keep it hush hush. Am I saying that IS what happened, no, and it probably didn't but you need to be aware of the FACT that stuff like that DOES happen.
