torb armor packs and sym shield generator (hell even her +25 shield skill back then) + brig rally don't forget the massive massive amounts of shield thats present what dark times we lived in

I dont recall him saying she was in this video? Im pretty sure he is wanting viewers to understand that when a brig is overtuned, even a bit, she becomes a jack-of-all master-of-all. I believe he is trying to get his audience to THINK about powercreep and longterm overwatch

@@destructo3457 wdym old sym was the worst character in the game, the only reason they changed her was because there was no way to make her better without buffing pure numbers. New Sym is actually one of the best dps characters in OW2.

Brig never stopped Genji ult but if you got hit with it on Genji you might as well be dead.

And it was a nightmare for everyone else before Brig. She was a rare counter to the most oppressive heroes in the game.

@@lacke1-gz5qg that doesn't justify her being broken and the devs have realized that supports needed a little help so that's why they gave most supports some sort of passive heal. I hate to say this but DPS diff was really bad back then. Now if there's a DPS diif if you're a semi competent support you shouldn't die immediately.

I love my boy flats but sometimes he overreacts about things finding a clip of brig being dominate with her new ultimate is laughable especially in top 500 when other support ultimates are so much stronger like Kitsune rush,nano,Lucio beat,heck even tree of life or zen ult seems better flats and the streamers just have too much ptsd

Was there a reason to be worried before the patch? The things they said would cause issues are same things that Echo's ult has done for years.

You're right she isnt oppresive like before, but i think Flats main concern is that the devs will see that she isnt strong and micro-buff her until shes really broken, similar to what happened to heroes back during goats

Im not gonna say youre wrong, but also give it time before you end up guilty of the same thing yall are trying to flame him for. There are plenty of instances where a meta takes time to fall off and the buffed characters to see there pickrates rise. Kiriko was thought to be balanced on release and wasnt played much at all for the first month or so. Then she ends up being the end all be all and requiring a slew of nerfs to be balanced to where she is now.

We call a "horizontal buff" a lateral change. And yup, thats what it is. Its weaker now except when you can get value out of the 1-2 microstuns

I’m pretty sure this clip is from a stream before the season 4 update fully dropped, and from how the rally changes were worded on paper, I think every Overwatch 1 Goats survivor had a right to be at the very least stressed out about brig getting stun back. The way it was executed and how it plays out in game now is much better than what a lot of people were doomposting about which is good, and I think a lot more people are realizing that and chilling back their reactions

So...did you even _watch_ the video? She can stun Rein, remove him as a threat, then kick him out of the fight, and that means the can do that to _ANY_ tank that is not immune to stuns or boops. That means that _only_ gold Orisa can counter her, and she can always just roll in with a Lucio or have a Zen discord orb on the Orisa and then slaughter her in ult. They turned her back into a fucking tank. That's why there's PTSD. Just because you're hardstuck silver and you quit before Brig released doesn't mean you get to ignore three years of trauma to the playerbase she inflicted and is returning to do it again doesn't mean that it isn't happening. Try ulting in the middle of a brawl teamfight, with the size of her shield, she can stun literally everyone, and that combos with every tank ult that has CC, the instant they get out of grav, start pummeling them all with stuns. Orisa draws them in but not enough to TPK? Use stun, rally at 2.5s left on cooldown, stun, hit three of them, stun again at 1s left on the ult. You don't know how to play tank if this is what you're suggesting, and you clearly were either in Bronze or Silver during GOATs era, if you played at all then.

It's only a nerf because of a bug that causes her to not benefit from some of the armor.

@@drakedbz its a nerf because the armor doesnt regen over time like the overhealth did along with the slower movement speed. Its easier to die now that your only healing is inspire rather than inspire + overhealth. The only time its a buff is if you need the immediate 100 hp and a bash to not die.

She doesn’t have any self sustain enymore while in ult so deleting her is very easy. Only thing she has is bigger shield and stun. It is a decent react/counter ult. But it is nowhere close to being dominant.

Then...you sailed on the deck of the ship that was broken as fuck, fighting people who were in merchant marine ships to get there. You played a character that was OPAF and sailed to a rank you shouldn't have been at, due to bad design. You had a hammer, and everyone else was a broken nail. That's why you had people solo dueling and winning against the #1 tracers and genjis in the world when they were in Gold the season before.
