What is love to see is trigger response time on each. From my understanding that's the real performance benefit from them because they have instant torque.

I agree. The trigger response is definitely better than the brushed motors. Ill figure out a way to compare in the next video I post. Thank you for the input!

High speed brushless motors don't lose torque but are far more expensive than brushed motors. That 52k motor can still have 28tpa.

Would you say going brushless is worth the expensive price?

@@wyshtechairsoft only for a high speed build. It seems like a waste if you just want to put a 25k in or you're building a dmr and use an 18k motor which is already super efficency. They don't last any longer.

@@darkshock42mlg05 so at what speed should you aim to make it worth it? If I have an arcturus ar15 cqb with a stock mosfet and motor and I am considering switching to brushless (mostly because of sound reasons) at what speed should I focus? And what else should I consider upgrading to be safe (not accurate, Im not talking about hopup and barrel here)? Probably piston assembly? I imagine if I would not select a warhead motor with a brake, but another without a brake - I should also swap the mosfet? I'd like to skip that.
@wyshtechairsoft
@wyshtechairsoft 10 месяцев назад
Any speed, really. Brushless motors run much more efficiently than brushed motors. The efficiency alone is enough for most people to upgrade to brushless.
@darkshock42mlg05

Need to get one of these in my lct rpk. Standard gears and high efficiency. It only gets 17.5 rps on an 11.1 anyways with a asg 22k. I got that first because LCT motors are LCT motors. If you get a cyma, the newer ones have the same motor you will find in their platinum guns.

They are really efficient, i have a boltairsoft AKM with EBB, 25k motor and gate mosfet (simpler one, MERF ?) would that motor work? Currently only 3000mah 11.1v titan stick is able to pull g&g 25k motor, but it hardly fits my stock

Subbed and great information. I noticed purchase options are standard, high speed, and ultra. (Noob question) Are there pro's and cons between the three? Obviously cycle rate increases, but what about hardware requirements? No problem or increased torque has to be addressed with better internals? Sounds like a great follow-up video,...hmmm
@wyshtechairsoft
@wyshtechairsoft 2 года назад
It really comes down to efficiency. With more rpm, the more power you will consume. Less RPM the less power you consume. High speed seems to be the goldilocks zone if you are looking for higher fire rate/trigger response but also not use as much of your battery. It all just depends on your goals.

I’m still not sold on brushless. My G&G Titan 35k puts out 29 rps but the T238 33k only gets 17 rps with 18:1 gears. Plus on more advanced mosfets you don’t have as many options like braking or ROF reduction with the brushless. Maybe it’s worth it on builds with limited battery space but with most M4s you can run a 2000mAh battery that will last a long time.
@wyshtechairsoft
@wyshtechairsoft 9 месяцев назад
The 39k would get you 28 to 32 rps depending on the build. Also, rof is adjustable on the T238 motor itself. 17rps seems real low for a 33k. It might be turned down. The torque brushless motors have put brushed motors to shame. Especially when you run dsg or 13:1 ssg setups.

Price wise I do not think that it is worth the cost. Also they seem to be the cause of a lot of issues if you run a mosfet. Maybe if the mosfet can be updated to work with brushless motors and the cost comes down some I could see using them.
@wyshtechairsoft
@wyshtechairsoft Год назад
This has only been an issue with Gate Mosfets. I personally tested brushless motors in Perun, Jefftron, and T238 mosfets with no issues. The brushless motor itself is worth it in my opinion when it allows your battery last twice as long AND can provide much better overall performance than any brushed motor. Unless you know how to wind a brushed motor and built it as good.

@shaun536 Honestly, I find Perun mosfets to be the most reliable in performance and compatibility. I install the HYBRID's in customer guns on a regular basis at my shop. Sold hundreds and only had 2 failures but it was my fault due to human error. T238 are finicky as hell imo. Jefftron is 2nd on my favorite overall list.

If there is alot of heat coming from your motor. Something isnt right about the internals of your airsoft gun. However, generally the brushless motors run alot cooler than brushed and significantly run more efficient.

How is the heat on the 30k asg motor? I have an 45k asg infinity one and cannot make it to not get it heat up, ( 2.650 mah 11.1v 20-40c battery,m100 spring,18:1,perun v2) gears,piston all move freely.
@wyshtechairsoft
@wyshtechairsoft 7 месяцев назад
The 30k motor would produce alot less heat than the 45k motor since it has more torque but it will run slower. More torque means less amperage pull. Less amperage pull means less heat and battery useage. Though 45k should be used with higher torque gearsets. If you really want to bring the heat down to a lower temp and get more battery life. Go brushless. Way more torque for the same rpm.

I have mixed feelings. I use brushless, but things WILL break. They're very strong and very fast. PME, Sector gear breaking, piston breaking, and anti reversal latch breaking. All serious problems you'll run into. But then I do run into extremes. 3.3j DMR SR25, 68RPS Indoors M4.
@wyshtechairsoft
@wyshtechairsoft 7 месяцев назад
Well, that's why you had these issues. Those extreme builds you made factor in massively more than just the motor itself. However, putting a brushless motor of the SAME rpm as a brushed motor will NOT break internals. The only difference would be a massive increase in how long your battery lasts on the field. Gotta compare apples to apples.
