It's believed that Bumblebee actually used his Radio Voice in the 2007 film. While in TLK, Bumblebee does indeed use his Real Voice to break Optimus Prime's brainwashing. Optimus Prime did say "bumblebee your voice, i have not heard it since cybertron fell"
I agree, I’m sick and tired of the radio voice and the pacifier mouth. I hope they can have Ratchet and Wheeljack fix his voice box and maybe do a Prime style reveal where the pacifier mouth slides away to reveal an actual mouth underneath.
I agree. I think that most options for a radio Bumblebee have been done: pop culture references (the live action films), beeps (prime), and unique voice lines for radio clips (some of AOE's lines and Cyberverse). I think a unique way to use his gimmick would be to make him sound like a old timey radio host, similar to Alastor from Hazbin Hotel. It would be the best of both worlds: the companies can still technically have a radio Bumblebee, and it would give him a personality. I think ROTB sequels would be the perfect way to use this gimmick since Mirage is the main kid appeal character of that film.
I also feel like it would be a good idea for his pop-culture references to be reminiscent of Robin Williams Genie from Disney's Aladdin series. Edit: Or Jim Carrey for that matter.
I agree and it’s been a thing that’s annoyed me the most about Bumblebee. The need for the radio, it doesn’t always have to happen I think he should get his voice back in the next film or sooner. Plus the one thing that bugged me is looking back at the 2007 movie, when he touched the Allspark. Why didn’t it fix his voice box? Before anyone goes “It doesn’t work like that!” How did it fix Frenzy then? Frenzy was just a head and he was exposed to it and he got his body repaired and Bumblebee was pretty much exposed to it too so it should’ve repaired his voice box
I grew up with the radio voice and ever since I've seen him talk normally its been unnerving to me, I can't see him normal when he talks normally. I can see why people don't like it anymore, especially the older fans but I still think the radio voice is the best thing that's happened to bumblebee that and the muscle car. W video
I FULLY agree with this. I grew up with the bayverse and I've always loved bumblebee, but when they rebooted the franchise and gave bumblebee a voice (for a short while) in the bumblebee movie, I absolutely loved it. I thought that Dylan O'Brien was perfect to voice bumblebee. I also love the way they executed bumblebee in TF Prime. I fully believe that they should bring back Dylan for the next TF movie after TF One. It would make bumblebee feel like a unique character again.
It would be cool if hegot his voice back as well, but keep in mind that Scourge only drained Bumblebee's energon, but in the Bumblebee movie, Blitzwing actually tore out Bee's voice box and threw it away, and Bee never found it
@@ImaTesticularTickler that's true but also too even thought they are living metal they might have certain limitations. Humans can also regenerate and recover from a stab (though it will leave a scar) but we can't regrow a voice box. Bee is likely the same where the Energon wave can revive and heal him but Bee still can't regrow his voice box
Simple it's a gimmick that doesn't get properly resolved properly. Bumblebee doesn't feel motivated in getting his voice back or come to accept using his radio voice. Plus they drag this plot point to the near end of the films/series. It's almost as tiring as hearing Batman's parent's dying every film, show and game
The radio voice as a concept I think just makes bee stand out even more and gives kids the freedom to interpret bee however they want. I believe the only real problem is how it's been handled in recent Years, in the first trilogy the radio clips (real or fake) felt genuine, in AOE they were just voice lines trying to pass for radio clips, and in TLK it was a mix of that and some songs which was actually an upgrade, in BMBLB only using his grunts and later songs is again very fitting, but in ROTB he was straight up using movie quotes which wouldn't make sense if he's suppose to get theses audios from radio. I think the best way to implement Mute Bee is a mix of TLK and BMBLB where its mainly grunts and song clips, not actual movie/voice lines, cuz those tend to be a problem when dubbing the movie since they just dub over those dialogues and ends up sounding like he has a voice when he doesn't. Mute Bee is just too universal for his benefit
it made him stand out more yes but his personality in the movies boring and dull as a character we don't know bumblebee/goals/aspirations we don't even know anything about his personality the mute trope takes away what makes him a character
@@ImaTesticularTickleryou about 100% can make bumblebee have a character without a voice. But it's on the writers to do so. And so far, none of them really want to give him a goal for himself.
@@ProxiProtogen for future movies I’d rather him just speak for atleast 2 movies the whole voiceless thing kinda grating I want bumblebee to be a actual character and not a meme soundboard
I think the idea in RotB was that Bumblebee frequented a drive-in theater and just recorded voice-lines that he liked that he could use later. It's a cute idea IMO, though one I admittedly wouldn't want to see used past RotB.
The thing that annoys me most about the radio voice remaining is that the stuff about expression and all that? As I understood that's a side effect, not a reason, the reason Bumblebee was mute was because they wanted Optimus to be the one who did the big infodump and needed a reason for Bumblebee to not be able to explain things to Sam earlier, and the ending was meant to imply that Bee had in fact recovered, then because apparently it was popular, they kept it around.
I'm one of those people who gotten annoyed with bumblebee radio voice and don't get why the filmmakers couldn't use his real voice like come in just get someone to voice him and stop using it for the other tf shows it's getting annoyed and overused.
I love bumblebee's radio voice, but I think that he should snip bits and pieces to talk, kinda like at the end of Bee's movie, instead of only spouting off quotes and such all the time. Great essay!
This Movie Transformers One Is Coming Out In September Showcasing The Origins Of The Transformers, And We Have A Confirmed Actor For Bumblebee. Take In Mind This A Animated Film
Bumblebee's voice doesn't work anymore because it never did. Only in the first movie it somewhat was an original and therefore acceptable idea, but Ratchet should have had his voice fixed by at least the third movie. I just want this stupid trope to go away and for Bumblebee to have an actual voice.
This radio voice is makes bumblebee a unique and different than other transformers and my first bumblebee was this bayverse bumblebee that cannot talk he was my childhood
Personally i prefer how Prime handled it, being more of a R2D2 like buzzing. But then again Prime took a lot of stuff from the Bay movies and made them better
But like prime gave bee no personality I mean still bland the only thing I remember was him killing megatron animated bee>prime bee prime bee is the least developed and has less screen time bot there
@@DwarfDaddy not really I mean I rewatched it about 2 times in prime he was kinda the most forgettable in prime he’s really kinda like a background character
