Nah bro nothing happens because when I was 3 i swallowed one of these And the. I pooped it out and and I am still alive i didn't have to go to hospital nothing happend
The nurses i met all gossiped badly about me. For months i witnessed them playing candy crush, gossiping malpractice negligence. I witnessed all the bad stuff im not even saying half of what i saw here.
Fun fact: These are actually bitter tasting since during production they get a bitter tasting coating on them to deter babies and small children from fully swallowing them. (Edit) Apparently this is only for Duracell versions of these types of batteries. (Edit 2) I made several people try to taste Nintendo switch cartridges.
I have tried that when i was 3, that day was kinda complicated tho since i found everything as interesting because of curiosity as a child but that wasn't what really happened on me because i got it from calculator by removing the cover and discovered that battery there, that time i was playing pencil by sticking it through my nose and i got an idea by sticking the battery through my nose and it wasn't enough for me since I pushed it deeply so it won't fell off but unfortunately it got stuck through my nose, that time i was very conscious and after 4 hours i started feeling unconformable and there was a blood coming out from my nose where the battery got stuck, until my mother noticed and she bring me to nearest hospital together with my father, the doctor said there was a battery that got stuck inside my nose and they couldn't get it because they don't have the materials to remove it that's why they told my parents to travel to another hospital where it's kinda far and it took us 2 hours before we arrived to another hospital where they have every materials to remove the battery inside my nose, that time i still feel very uncomfortable until it starts to hurt so much and then they immediately bring me to the room where they have to start the operation and then they proceed to remove it, it took them several attempts since the thing they used is just like a tweezer in different sizes since it couldn't reach the battery inside my nose and it was like Diamond shape or C shape as far as i could remember, it was very deep where the doctor's have to use long tweezer and other item just to reach it, they was struggling to get that thing out of my nose because it was really deep where it's near to my throat and i feel very painful where they gathered just to hold me because i keep kicking them since it's very painful and my nose even bleed that time when they're still getting it out, luckily they removed it inside my nose and also what this video shows is exactly the side effect where i could get poisoned because of the bleeding in my nose as it getting exposed where the battery releases black chemical. This is the reason why it's very important to keep away every small stuff where they can't reach it since it's very vulnerable to kids as if they still have no idea and doesn't know anything, Being innocent is the first thing we could experience and with this experience we have to learn from it so it wouldn't happen again to us especially to everyone.
@@Benjaehminvideo is fake, there are muscles that move food down, they expand and contract to actively move it down. If it got stuck, it would eventually expand, get unstuck and move down, at least a bit. You are a living proof TLDR: go on, eat batteries, its safe
@@Muslimwith4ksubs It doesn’t matter if I know what’s going to happen afterwards, an intrusive thought is an unwanted (most of the time) thought that randomly pops into our mind.
The last clip is not right! Do not throw these batteries in the trash. Garbage disposal facilities are not meant to handle these chemicals. Always go to your local battery disposal facility!!
@@secondoctoberseventhcommitter yeah I live in a fairly big city but it's rather a pain just to properly dispose of electronic waste they don't make it easily accessible.
@@Mortal-MonkYeah great tip but we all know 90%+ people just scrap it in our trash at home. Us humans aren't wired for inconvenience. If we had to do the same to recycle, not many would recycle either if we didn't have recycling bins
My classmate in grade 6 (2 years ago) actually ate one of those during the class. He had a surgery later, with the battery being removed from his stomach and he still sticks to a strict diet ‘till this day
Dawg 💀 how is it a fear now it's not like people are constantly breaking in your house and saying "EAT THIS BATTERY IMMEDIATELY" like your probably never even have one get near your mouth
Because your fluids are basically saline, the battery has such a form that can induce electrolysis of your saliva, producing chlorine that further reacts to hydrochloric acid in the process thus chemically burning you.
When I was 5 or 6 years old (I'm currently 22), I inserted a button battery into my nose. At first, I successfully removed it, but when I tried inserting it again, I couldn’t get it out. As I kept trying to use my index finger to remove it, I only pushed the button battery further up my nostril. I was too afraid to tell my parents because I thought they would scold me or rush me to the hospital (like many kids, I was terrified of hospitals). So, I didn’t tell anyone until my mom noticed a foul smell whenever they gave me kisses. She asked why my face smelled like a rotten dead rat, and since I was cornered, I broke down in tears and told her about the battery in my nose. Although my mom didn’t get mad, both of my parents rushed me to the hospital because they were really worried and couldn’t remove the battery themselves. When we reached the hospital, I was terrified when one of the doctors mentioned that they might need to cut my nose to get the battery out. Fortunately, a nose specialist performed the procedure and used a strong magnet to extract the battery from my nose. I was crying really hard, and my mom saw blood burst out of my nose. The doctor then showed us that the smell was caused by the button battery, which had already started to rust.
Mum told me I swallowed a button battery (it was one of the smaller pill-sized ones) when i was a toddler. She looked at me the instant I popped it in my mouth. She tried to make me cough it out, but it didn't work. She took me to a pediatrician and got tests done. Very thankfully, being quite small, it didnt get lodged anywhere. I pooped it out. It can still be dangerous though, because the acids in your stomach are corrosive enough to dissolve the metallic shell and release the battery acid, which can cause quite the diarrheoea, or even stomach ulcers in the worst scenarios.
When I was 6 years old, I accidentally swallowed one and was obviously panicking because it was burning alot. But I tried to ignore the pain but my mom called me and said if I wanted tea. I said yes and drank everything. And it somehow stopped the pain.
Can confirm! I was one of the few stupid kids who did this! I swallowed it, but luckily it didn't get stuck. I was forced to poop into a bucket for the next 24 hours to desperately try and see if I'd safely pass it through me. If I didnt? I'd need emergency surgery. Luckily a few hours later, we found the battery and I was fine, and it's now a bit of a running joke within my family, because my excuse for putting it in my mouth was "I thought I'd run faster like the Duracell bunny!"
I just love how he gives advise as to what to do if this happens! Best thing to do if someone swollows something like this is to feed the person lots of honey! Helps the batteries get coated and protected from deterioration and stops it from releasing acids. It mau gibe you mlre time to pass it or get to a doctor.
Theirs actually a way to prevent this, when EMTs see this in the field they are told to give the patient honey as it will coat the battery and prevent it from reacting until is passed through the body
Yeah I would see this as a danger the only problem is that babies would spit them out immediately because of the fact that they taste vile (they are coated with really bad tasting stuff I forgot the name of)
it's true I've swallowed one of these by accident luckily it made it down my throat but the doctor told me to watch and check for it when I use the bathroom when I went #2 other wise I'd have to go to the ER
This also applies to those accursed airpods btw. I'm just not too fond of these new technologies in general being made so small that it can fit into a toddler's mouth without trouble. Practicality is a boon, yes, but these hazardous risks sometimes make it not worth the trouble of using them
EMT here, had an ADULT patient swallow one while holding it in his mouth while getting the device battery cover open. It was his second time swallowing one too...
