i think i legitimately need to do this more. i tilt myself too much by trying to igl and play with an uncoordinatible team and it super hurts my performance
Same from me, if the team absolutely refuses to follow comms I think just playing with them instead of tryna lead the team is basically the only thing us natural IGLs can do
I’m in silver and I do this all the time. I try to com things but if my teammates don’t care then I’ll just try and help them out with their “plans” (w keying into site)
I honestly really needed this video. Calling and trying to IGL has made me play worse when teammates refuse to listen or communicate back. This video reminded me that sometimes I just need to take matters into my own hands again.
woohoojin all i can say is thank you really, me and my friends would play everyday hoping to improve (we were iron and bronze) but we were so desperate to improve at this game and we kept searching and searching for videos on how to improve from youtubers like jollz too a guy called sena but nothing really worked until we found a channel with the name woohoojin it was like all our prayers were answered and a gift from god we kept watching you together everyday to learn and improve we watched the boomer to diamond and 1 month to gold and all of your pro vod reviews and coaching and we ranked up to platinum and gold i know its not much but we are still onn the grind but really thank you ive made 1 playbook from raze on jingg as i started to learn raze so i can main her and really thank you hooj keep up the good work, cheers.
I love that you actually talk and show your full game. It’s hard to find full games on RU-vid. It’s usually just highlights of a gaming session. Which I can’t learn from at all.
at the very end (26:45) the kj molly gets thrown and insta used, from the fact that it didn't fly across your screen or audibly bounce off of the wall id say it was probably a lineup and the timing was pretty much perfect especially not landing directly on the spike
This video actually helped my mindset a lot. When i have teammates that are trolling or not listening to any comms, its ok to just try to do the best by yourself
its cool to see how fast you're improving and refreshing your muscle memory as you play more ranked :- ) Not only does hooj talk the talk, HE WALKS THE WALK!
Bro you can't imagine how helpful this video is for me. Just today I had an Ascent game where my teammates were completely quiet and I was thinking in my head about what I should be doing in those situations
It's been 4 days since my last Woohoojin viewing. I sat down with my breakfast this morning, and scrolled my RU-vid page in a bore... until I saw it! A new Woohoojin ranked video. My bones crave the sweet and lively gameplay of this banana. Thank you once again for providing me with nearly 30 minutes of your presence.
I solo queued last night. We got down 0-5 on Split, then we had a DC, then we scratched back to 6-6, and our DC finally reconnected in there somewhere. Ultimately won 13-7 Team never once communicated with me. But after we tied it up they started following suggestions. Normal isn't necessary. Just carry harder, boys and girls.
I'm a bit confused as to why he muted KJ and Yoru (and to a lesser extent Jett) when they hadn't been making disruptive coms and didn't ignore his coms. Surely it would be better to at least be able to hear the information they're giving until their coms are deemed to be having a negative impact. He muted them after he called for a cancel and Jett dashed in anyways (I still don't entirely understand what a mute on the Jett is accomplishing), but in that case why did KJ and Yoru get muted? Even if I understood why he muted them in this scenario, 2 rounds in seems really early to do so, no?. Would it not be a good idea to at least ask your teammates politely to follow your calls after that play and then give it a couple rounds just to see? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to take away from this video as a learner. It seems like Hooj was just tilted, and replicating what he did here (in regards to muting his entire team because one player ignored his com) would not be a good idea.
Not IGL-ing and muting the entire team are not the same things at all. If he didn't want to IGL he could just not IGL. Whether he IGLs or not has no bearing on whether or not he mutes his teammates. In fact, I've seen Woohoojin on many occasions stop IGL-ing for teams that were not listening to his calls, but he doesn't normally mute them or make that decision after a single call gets ignored by a single player. He will even ask his teammates if they want him to keep IGL-ing or not when they aren't listening. @@421_ac
he muted them on the second round bro was definitely tilted. And muting someone for not following your comms is braindead since it's not like they are the ones talking.
I'm at 3:25 and I feel much better seeing that muting teammates who don't listen/care is normal (It always makes me feel like I'm impatient (aka the problem))
For some reason I thought this would’ve been the breeze game that viper afk’d. I think there were multiple hooj world games this stream. WE LOVE SOLO QUEUE
I gotta ask tho is there a reason the in game audio is only right sided? Is it an audio bug or something because it's happened in a previous vid I watched as well it's been bugging me a bit. I'm still watching the full vid tho I don't mind
Of my last 5 games i played in ascendant ive had one or two teamates who are just straight terrible at the game. My guess because of the end of the act no one is caring as much or purposely tanking their rank for next act 🧍♂️
hey woohoojin how du you train ur satchell yes he can be a dumb question but i want to know if u have a pratice routine and sorry if u don't undersantd something my english is not the best (french boy)
There was one point where we got an explanation of ehere to shoot through as yoru with a teammate raze ulting, but there's a slight flaw in the logic. Why the actual f*** am i playing yoru?
Played a game recently and had four potato nicknamed teammates who negativated to me at the start. Didnt mute them, patiently talked and well played. We started win and they apologized mid game 😂 So we won]]
Why mute everyone? I understand the brim since you’re a streamer but their comms are good so you don’t constantly have to look at minimap to know what’s going on
wait with headphones i can only hear whats happening on ur right in both my ears i checked my headphones but they work fine maybe you know too but im just making sure ur aware of this
Hooj is just like me as soon as someone becomes toxic to me or doesn't listen to play as a team. I like to comms especially cause timing takes effort during the match and mostly nobody follows what the pings are meant to be read when pinged. But being female too in my server (Dubai and Bahrain) can have a lot of toxic sexist men just hearing a female gamer that they start mocking and talking shit to you. I would prefer those who don't talk and play the game and actually play rather. Instead, I mute them to keep me from being tilted more and just go my own way while still trying to play while other teammates either try to help with playing or most of the time they troll and throw the game. Sad life. But I don't have anymore duo so I don't play ranked a lot anymore for many months now even when I want to see how far I would reach.
man im 6 minutes in and im feeling angry at ur teammates already. some people are just weird man unlucky this shows that i definitely need to work on my mental :|
I hate looking at scoreboards like that. Dropping 30+ just to lose by two because your team was no comms throwing. I probably don't see it as much as you do so I can't imagine how painful it must be to see that so frequently.
Tbf u muted 3 of the team because they did a bad play? Like I understand for brim but the rest of Ur team didn't rly do anything wrong they just commited as you said not to So it was bad Timing?
while i like banana man, muting comms first round is kind of promoting toxic behavior. It's arguable whether its ok to do this in high elo or not but i'm sure people in low elo will imitate this behavior because hes doing it without realizing the difference in his game sense and awareness than theres.
Im a bit older than the average gamer now and I currently cant stand the Valorant community, too many freaks in matchmaking, especially for me cause I usually only have time to play at night. I feel it's not worth the grind to deal with these people. I didn't realize how bad it was til i played CS2 with the release and grinded premier. I have had much less problems in Comp and Premier vs Valo ranked which is usually a terrible experience. I really hope Riot does something to make it better. Or just hope these children grow up soon. Super discouraging and cringe to see the major brain rot in these Zoomers on full display, obviously it's not just the young crowd something about this game generally brings out the worst in people. Luckily I take these principles and apply it to CS :) works all the same, it's like playing with 10 Kay/Os! Maybe this is a positive thing that the new Riot Id system will bring. It will hopefully change how people behave. The 10 dollars just serves as a barrier to entry for people to troll indiscriminately and simply change their names every 30 days. That and a better system for MM would be welcome. Sad that CS has been the far better experience in the last month or so i've played it. Ive had 0 desire to open Valo, queue comp and deal with the children.
