I just rewatched this movie. And I've gotta say, when I watched it as a kid, I could feel the sadness that loomed over the story but didn't understand it. And now at the age of 33, I feel the " I hate people" line more than ever. And I guess I felt if I rewatched this movie I'd feel something to resolve that hate. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." And while I don't believe in a higher being anymore or God, I believe in my Mom and Dad that have passed on. I believe the good hearted person my mother always saw in me. It's the one quality I can't give up.
@C. Lenox Jesus loves you You are an original creation of GOD you are worth more than all the diamonds in the world GOD exists and he wants to take you home with him please feel his love ❤️ 💕 💗
I’m glad to hear and I loved this movie ever since I was child. You can learn a lot from movies like these. Almost losing his ram Baba taught him to forgive instead of having hatred. It was definitely a sign to let it go. And his prayers were answered when Baba was healed.
Catchy song! Too bad the bandits who burned his home, stole his lifestock, and killed his parents appeared in the crowd to enrage Aaron's hate streake.
I was just thinking about this movie and I swear I remember it being traditionally animated. Maybe I'm thinking of something else and it's just the Mandela Effect, but I really thought it was made with hand drawn animation.
Both this and Ben Haramed's song are a bit tragic, because even though they're really good for how short they are, they're fairly rushed and undercooked, and they unfortunately leave you wanting more. If The Little Drummer Boy had been 50 minutes rather than 25, I think both songs would have been quite a bit longer, with a lot more meat on their bones.
It was a good song. But it sucked that it ended sour when Aaron gotten bad memories of his past and wouldn’t let it go. True, a traumatized child never forgets but it isn’t healthy to hold on to those grudges. When you don’t let go of the past, you can end of miserable.
wow, they ruined the colors, they were better in the earlier release (although not great) yet the thing I can't stand is that they used a 16mm b roll element because the 35mm elements are missing, and they're not even trying to find them, they don't care about it as much because it isn't Rudolph or Frosty. Also they don't even try to get a better quality version with all the sound effects either. And also they put heavy dnr to try to hide the fact that it's 16mm elements, and to get rid of the grain. All they accomplished was making it look worse in this version here, because everything looks so waxy. They did not even try to correct the colors here either, they just scanned, probably some minor updates Classic Media was probably like "OK IT LOOKS GREAT, IT LOOKS FINE" its all about the money
Also, for a special called "The Little Drummer Boy", I'm not hearing any drums 👂🥁 Look for the F.H.E. VHS original on YT - it'll be the definitive version until they give it a proper restoration 👌
@@doclombardi51 yeah, sucks how they dont even try to get a better source. It's obvious they dont even care about this special. And instead we have this unfinished audio track, that may have better audio quality than the fhe version, but with missing sound effects, some warps, and a paul frees scratch track.
