Hi! We're Nick and Jen, a retired military veteran of 14 years and professional dancer/entertainer at Coyote Ugly Bar. Together, we decided to sell everything and break free of the glitz, glam and chaos of city life to move off gird. We live on our 20 acres of remote land in the mountains of Southern Utah.
We’re trying to be as self sufficient as possible by installing all our own utilities and doing everything DIY with as much modern technology as can make happen. Be careful with that nailer. Sometimes the nail will turn inside the wood and come out the side. If it hits your finger, it’s bad news.

Great to see you take some time out for yourselves ❤. I don't think enough air was removed from those tyres as there didn't appear to be great coverage on the bottom, but I get that if you didn't have the capacity to air back up you want to be careful. It will have to be one to try again 😊 Those doors look good, I love the grain but know they will be painted. Have you thought of building a cupboard to go behind your sofa, near your kitchen chairs? Could help with storage. Have a great week.

Love how the house is coming along. Very stylish. I just had a thought, maybe you could put indoor stairs in the bottom in the barn that goes up to the level of the landing outside, and put a door in the wall so it opens up at the landing outside. It might help with keeping out of the weather for groceries and kids esp if a verandah covering is in the works for your side deck. Glad you are having a date day :-) x

It was nice you guys took the drive just the 2 of you but one thing was that the sand was too wet so it quicksand and just sank that is why could get up to the top but nice video

You're having fun in an area I'd like to visit as I was born in the namesake of the Park: Escalante, Cantabria, Spain. I believe a Franciscan Friar from a Monastery of our village, Bernadino de Escalante, was part of an expidition to find a way through the mountains and along the way, evangelize the Ute native Americans.

You need to change to a lower gear ratio for your oversize tires. Maybe a 4.10. That would solve your lack of power climbing hills!

What road do you use to get in to your town? And how long normally dose it take to get there? Such a beautiful place with rolling hills and surprising to see so much sand where you went must be awesome to just sit out there and listen what do you hear if anything? I think to myself why did I ever move back to the city when I enjoyed living in Maine 🤔
