Industrial production in the German manufacturing sector dropped by 0.4% on a monthly basis in March, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis said in a provisional report released on Wednesday. The reading was higher than expected. Output in the industry fell 3.3% in comparison to March last year. The decrease in production was largely driven by the 4.2% decline in energy production, followed by the 1.4% drop in the production of consumer goods. However, the production of capital goods climbed by 0.1%. Excluding energy and construction, Germany's industrial production declined by 3.4% year-on-year.

Bakhmut was insignificant, but was fought over because of Chasiv Yar's topography. Avdiivka was significant because of the robust fortifications Ukraine had built since 2014

Ruschia is attacking, that generates more casualties. Ruschia is attacking with poorly trained and equipped soldiers, that generates even more casualties. Ruschias advantage in artillery is large in quantity but as precision and recognisance is poor this advantage is not as large as it seems. Ukraine has advantage in drone use and long range precision weapons as himars and stormshadows. Neither does ukraine waste rockets on schools, hospitals, residental buildings and kindergartens as ruschia does. Ruschia is currently churning fast through its post soviet junkyards, it will be interesting to see how they perform when they are closer to the bottom.

Its quite fascinating to see how poorly ruschia performs. Not a single western military adviser had dreamed about seing the kind of shitshow of a circus ruschia displays. Who could have guessed? Mail in ballots… democracy is so inconvenient. Pausing democratic processes until the end of war, with a neighbor like Russia. Is like some mystical riddle paradox. Am I the only one seeing how bad an idea that is? Skipping elections is a hard habit to break. I really hope Zelenskyy understands how important it is to nurture his young democracy. Even a hasty gesture of an election to keep people in the habit and settle a few local issues would be worthwhile. I am so hopeful for Ukraine and I sincerely wish that they achieve all their goals in time.

The war sounds so aged; rockets, tanks, ground flanking movements, etc. A tsunami of Western technology would put this away in a few weeks. Seems the stagnation in initiation stems from the West eschewing the horror this would entail. As the carnage continues, and especially the nuclear threats, I expect there will be a breaking point and unimaginable destruction will ensue. The world often has changed tremendously due to aggression: Perhaps this is more nascent than we realize or will take a few more years, but I expect the world won’t let this continue quiescent. If it’s still a few years off, technologies stemming from AI and quantum computer advances will make quick work of Russia in my opinion.
