Your block off plates will work fine. Also your new drill press adjusts speeds with the pulleys on top open the cover and you’ll see them. Try a bit of cutting fluid or some sort of wd 40 or something when drilling. Will save your drill bits a ton when using them. Low speed helps too.

From 5:10 seeing a 10 second clip of you driving out of your street gave me the chills, remembering a 30 minute video of you walking that far and it was a milestone after your leg was broken. Crazy how time flies❤️

What I used for those screws on butterflies was a needle nose pliers.

The Pipe with the flange is supposed to bolt to the MAF. They have install-pics on their website.

If you have edges and want to make a template you can put masking/painters tape over the surface and tap it with a mallet and it’ll cut the pattern out of the tap and you can just pull it away next time you make a new plate for something

Matt stop complaining rudnik is right, I had to pull my motor, cut the front end of my car off and put a tubular front end on, turbo my car,install a holley ecu, Change the transmission on my car all in my driveway with going to work for 8 hours. If I did not do it, then I would never have been able to own what I have now. Enjoy every minute of it while you can. You're in a garage on a lift building something you really want.

Open the top, there you can change the speed by changing the belt

To change speeds on the drill press, you open the cap and move the belt. It has different ratios. Awesome video guys!

I seen people put jb weld then the block off plate with rtv

just sand both matting surfaces of block off plate, use some wax and grease remover then rtv the plate into place and bolt. golden

I did the same thing to my s13 single cam. You have to use big washers or the boost will blow out the RTB. Trust me ive been doing the single gingle for 9 years

Any rtv will be fine for air related things. But always expect a failure under high load. I make them for the bp4w motor witch is what you should be swapping in for an extra 50hp :)

It will seal and speeds on that drill run off a belt on top take the lid off it and you can change the speed you should have the speeds under the lid

should have pre-heated those butterfly bolts.

As long as you rtv it good you're fine, even make a gasket from gasket material (oreillys, amazon) either will be fine with that plate

Btw what’s with the saw, get a oscillating multi-tool. It’s a hundred bucks if you already have a battery pack and charger. The cut through most anything. Until you clap a box cutter blade in it and go to town on some plastic you won’t believe how handy they are. Grate for cutting anything in tight spaces, exhausts, metal wood. Better and faster than a jigsaw and more versatile than a chop saw.

Use a lil JB weld instead

Get away from red rtv! go with Ultra black permatex or honda bond been building boosted streetbikes for years and this is how we seal cases and have never had an issue. Keep going! When you're ready for your version of Spoon/Josh LMK!

Pb weld is so much easier its what i do for sealing up holes to any metal or plastic

For a budget build with more power I'd get a s13 dohc head get it ported to the max get a step up or 2 for cams and slap it on there. Would make close to 200whp about 11.5:1 compression supporting headers and it's would make it scream with the 4.10 gearing

Red rtv will seal jb weld would of sealed 2 and been quicker tbh. Also id just cut the pipe and amazon a coupler the other pipes should hold it in place there inna way it wouldnt blow off imo

The flange on the intercooler pipe is for the maf sensor to the turbo or inline to the throttle body...either way the flange goes to a maf

Block off plate looks fine. Just deburr those edges.

There is no speed switch XD You just take the top off and put belt on different position on pulleys..

ultra black RTV for EVERYTHING> permatex ultra black. long as surfaces are prepped and cleaned. everything. only use high temp red for exhausts, that's legit it.

why use rtv...it can seep or fall into the intake valve...just cut a paper gasket

You probably have a turbo kit that was meant for a hardbody they have the same engine but a way different intake manifold.

RUDDY YES IT WILL SEAL WIT RTV I DO EGR DELETED WITH CUT OUT PLATES AND RTV AND WITH THE PIPE COMIN OUT THE HEADERS I USED A PLUMMING METAL PLUG THING AND JB WELD BEFORE I LEARNED TO WELD.

Id jbweld the plate instead of rtv just for the peace of mind

That pipe is from the airbox to the front of the turbo.

S14 engines didn’t have those butterflies. You can use the upper intake with your s13 bottom and dnt have to deal with that

Also unless you change the sensors how does getting a new harness get you different clips? I mean if you just want fresh clips that's one thing but you still have the same connections on the sensor so?

The speed on the drill press is changed by moving the belt on top to different pulleys open the top and you will understand

That pipe is the intake for the turbo. The 4 bolt flange is for the MAF sensor.

if you open the lid on the drill press you should see two pulleys, one on each end with a belt, depending what level the belt is on will determine that the speed the bit spins.
